Lost box of crockery
Boxes of crockery & furniture did not need to go far, just from the upstairs to the downstairs garden where the Taxibox remained for less than a week whilst the floors were polished. Now one box of fine china for entertaining is missing. It was a small move and most everything fitted into one T/b. It is not far from my upstairs to downstairs via the footpath.
T/box say they have asked the two sets of removal men if they know anything about my box. Unsurprisingly, they don't. One of them has gone off with my box. Boxes don't just disappear and there are no hidden boxes here. T/b is so far offering nothing. What is the system of compensation?
Number your boxes and furniture and count them all going in and out.

Worst experience ever
I have used many Removalist companies recently. Taxibox was by far the worst experience. My items were basically “thrown”
Into the Taxibox’s with zero care. A stone table was completely cracked including matching chairs. Upholstery on lounges and chairs were ripped due to poor packing. Outdoor furniture was broken. Boxes were smashed. Boxes of fine China were broken. The entire experience resulted in 80 per cent of my furniture was damaged. When I emailed to notify them they refused to help and kept using excuses.

Basic but don’t expect delivery outside CBD
I had a storage box while selling my house. I moved 1 hour away from the storage facility to Geelong. I was told they couldn’t possibly deliver to Geelong even though I offered to pay extra per KM. I also couldn’t access the box during lockdown to empty it so was paying $120 a month for over 6 months to store a few boxes. It was really hard to find a moving company willing to do it for me and that resulted in me only receiving one quote for over 1500 dollars to pick up the items and deliver.
I’m so angry about this because I was not told that delivery to Geelong was out of scope when initially booking.
Anyway now it’s finally empty and I’ll never use them again.

Read more To shed a bit more light on this, it is difficult for us to discuss at length on the phone the areas we don’t service if they aren’t mentioned at the time of booking. We do however totally understand that your plans can change while in storage, which is why we provide transparency with an instant quote on our website - see www.taxibox.com.au/booking. This quote will also advise of any areas that fall outside of our catchment zone. Lockdown definitely threw a spanner in the works and while we were fully operational and open for access we understand that it was difficult for some of our regional customers to make it down to us. We were able to offer you a free redelivery to a family members house in metro Melbourne to avoid further storage fees but it appears that wasn’t a go-er. Would not recommend them to anyone - Update
There have been some developments since my first one star posting.
Taxibox has been in touch and a very polite lady explained why Taxi box has issues with delivering boxes just over the NSW when it will happily transport them to its interstate depot in Sydney. The reason make sense but it is a pity that the Taxibox website is less transparent about it’s interstate capability.

30 minute notice not given, had to pay for extra time
I recently used Taxibox for my move and chose the 30 min wait option as I lived in a busy area with limited parking nearby. I was told I would be notified 30 mins prior to the Taxibox arriving so the plan was to move all my contents to street level before it arrived so we could spend the 30 mins packing the Taxibox, however this did not happen. They made a number of 'mistakes' when it came to finances. Double invoices for the same item, then trying to charge me twice for the same item with two different rates! Charging me a full month for storage for less than 24 hours extra in facility ('forgot' to disclose this and later apologised, after sending invoice), and giving me a window of an hour (email sent just after business hours and given till 10 am the next day) to query this. I was sent an email saying that the full monthly amount was to be charged with no refund, if I did not respo...

The financial side of things was a minefield, they were not very forthcoming or transparent when it came to finances. I would be very careful using this service. The customer service was over the top, probably trying to compensate for the questionable financial practices. Read more You are completely right in saying that we incentivise our customers to provide us with comments, whether positive or constructive, we love feedback in all shapes and sizes! You can also redeem the gift without leaving a review at all. We can see that you had to cancel your original re-delivery - a common enough occurrence for us - but when you were re-scheduling, there was some miscommunication and we didn't spot that your re-delivery fee had already been paid. We really appreciate you calling us back to let us know before payment was taken and apologise for the oversight on our part. Storage of your TAXIBOX is from the date of your first delivery until your final pick-up. We do try to be as transparent as possible when it comes to the financial side of things. That being said, our team should be letting you know if any further storage fees will be incurred prior to/during your re-delivery. This will be followed up with the team to make sure this conversation is had. The email you received asking you to respond by 10:00am was purely to process your pro-rata refund that week. If we hadn't heard from you by this time, it would have pushed it back to the following week. Our intention was to get your money back to you sooner, not create any unwanted hassling(!!) and you raise a really good point that the email doesn't make this clear. We will look into improving our wording for these emails in future. Again, we're really sorry that there were a few issues with the administration of your account. While it might be of little consolation, we will be taking this further and using the lessons learned here to train the team for next time. We're always looking for ways we can make our customers' TAXIBOX experience better, so we really appreciate you leaving these comments. I'm trying to book a Taxibox for moving purposes.
I'm moving from Melbourne to Sydney on the 14th of March.
I'm trying to get a taxibox delivered to my address (on-street parking) on the 12th of March - I'll be on site to receive it.
I don't know my future address on Sydney yet, so I've put down Sydney - 2000 as the delivery address.
When trying to book the taxibox, I get this greyed out box in the "Delivery dates" form, and I can't proceed further. Am I doing something wrong?
