Very bad with response times after filling out the form that's required to get our stuff out. Both times taxobox ending up costing us more money. Dunno if would recommend however when at pick up the guy at the side was very helpful and it was easy to access and get it all done quickly - the stars is for the Champ at site

Really good service, it does what is promised. The only thing I would say is that you could care more for cases where customers have to park the Taxibox in the city where the parking is paid, perhaps offering pick ups and drop offs in a narrow window would help, also empowering the customer centre to solve problems without having to escalate to their manager would save time from everybody. Great service. Some improvements could be made however.
A convenient storage option, combined with the removalists. Smooth and safe. A little pricey with the removalists! They weren’t available on the weekend therefore sadly paid for an extra week.

Convenient and efficient service, pricier than some others
I've ordered two Taxibox boxes because no other mobile storage company's box would fit into my Melbourne inner city backyard. The drivers arrived on time and were very skilled. I have a small backyard with access from a narrow lane. The drivers had no problems getting the boxes in and out.
Tip: Books and LPs are the heaviest items. Make sure you spread them evenly in the box. There is a weight limit, 1 tonne from memory, so mix heavy with some lightweight items. My first box was packed too efficiently, it couldn't be lifted onto the truck. I had to unload some boxes. Overall, I'm happy with the experience.

Perfect for renovations
We stored all our excess furniture while we undertook renovations. With 5 taxi boxes we would never have had the time or capacity to take our belongings to a storage unit. Fortunately we had a wide driveway so we could easily accommodate 3 taxibox when we had to unload.

Won’t go the extra mile -literally
Nice call centre staff but management POOR! Spent time filling info, got quote approved. When they called the following day the management refused to come to our area, despite us falling in the postcode and metro. Said we were outside the border (600m) and would not service area. We also offered additional payment, but they obviously don’t need the business. Wasted 2 days of my time.

Nice people over the phone but eveything elses is terrible!
I was never made aware that the insurance doesnt cover you til the taxiboxes are in their commercial storage. home contents insurance doesnt cover this either. the removalists had no communication or listening skills whatsoever. just labor and nothing else. just found out the $40 month for insurance is the base for $20k of items. i found this out 5 days after removals as i was sent the insurance agreement form 5 days late. i guess i wasnt covered til now. also the $40 is upto $70 a month because i increased to $35k from $25k. shouldve paid extra for a proper storage facility and professional movers. really hate this! Customer service tried to be helpful but their hands were tied....but still no one in sales mentioned the fine print....wow!

It is the case that storage units cannot be insured on site with the customer, the reason being that we are unable to control the environment they’re delivered to. We’re unable to comment on behalf of your home insurer, but we do have many customers that are covered by their own home and contents policy. It’s also worth mentioning that the insurance documentation is attached to your original reservation email that you receive the day you book with us, I can see we shot you a reminder a few days later after it hadn’t been returned signed. It does seem as though there was some confusion around the price and coverage of the policy, and we’re sorry to hear this was a bit of a surprise for you. We do try and be as transparent as possible with our pricing, offering an instant quote service on our website that includes insurance pricing, check it out at https://www.taxibox.com.au/booking. Our pricing of $2 per $1000 of coverage is the industry standard, and we do use the same insurer as many top self storage facilities in the county. It’s important to note that insurance is optional and you’re more than welcome to arrange your own through your preferred provider, we don’t apply insurance to your account until you’ve completed the online application form so if you’re unhappy with the T’S & C’s you’re not locked in any way. Admittedly, we’re a bit stuck on your comment about having to increase your coverage, this is always the prerogative of the customer as we’re not aware of the value of your stored contents. Fantastic service
Delivery guys were really great and helpful. The tracking service let us know when they were due to arrive.
The only downside was some nails from inside the taxi box damaged some furniture.
I would use Taxibox again but would line the inside with cardboard to prevent the nails protruding, we did hammer them in but they must have moved when being moved.

I have booked taxibox online before Christmas to move interstate, on the dates that the website says spots available. Contacted them to try to finalise my booking and payment the next day and was told the sales Team was busy as it was near Xmas and will return my call ASAP. Did not receive a call until a week later and was told they can no longer deliver on the day I requested.
Questioned further as even today the website still shows those dates I booked was available, and was told that they have reserved the slots for other customers to retur...

Read more Totally hear your frustration around not being able to grab your preferred date of delivery and we’re sorry we couldn’t make that happen. It is an exceptionally busy period for us at the moment so it’s not always been possible for us to accommodate every booking request. After receiving your booking request overnight, our team gave you a buzz the following morning and left a voicemail. Putting our hands up to the next issue, in that we weren’t able to handle your call back that same afternoon – our sincere apologies for this. The timing wasn’t helped by throwing Christmas and public holidays into the mix either, with our conversation not taking place until the next business day, a few days later. To give a bit more detail, online booking forms are only a request - availability tends to be a bit of a moving target and your booking is only finalised once we’ve chatted to you over the phone. We’ve tried to make this as clear as possible for the customer once they hit submit on website, since transparency is key for us. In light of the Christmas craziness, we’ve had to keep spots reserved for our existing customers to allow for their belongings to be returned. That being said, we understand this can be misleading for new customers and we’re going to work on fixing this to avoid this situation again. I had 2 storage boxes with TaxiBox for an 8 month period - easy to retrieve and safely stored no damage and very prompt redelivery and placement on site at return address

Basic but don’t expect delivery outside CBD
I had a storage box while selling my house. I moved 1 hour away from the storage facility to Geelong. I was told they couldn’t possibly deliver to Geelong even though I offered to pay extra per KM. I also couldn’t access the box during lockdown to empty it so was paying $120 a month for over 6 months to store a few boxes. It was really hard to find a moving company willing to do it for me and that resulted in me only receiving one quote for over 1500 dollars to pick up the items and deliver.
I’m so angry about this because I was not told that delivery to Geelong was out of scope when initially booking.
Anyway now it’s finally empty and I’ll never use them again.

Easy and straightforward company. Gets the job done right
No issues with storing items. Only issue is they need to improve with billing system where you can choose on how long you want the storage for instead of having to manually pay every month. Will consider them again in future and Would highly recommend.

WONDERFUL!! Excellent service and concept. Only issue is ramp on box
Really fantastic service from ALL their personnel. Would definitely recommend them and use them again. They have an excellent, clear, informative and useful website. Only issue would be in the design of the ramp on the box - there is a bit of a drop from the box to the ramp and the ramp needs to be wider for the trolley. Other than that, convenient and great service!

I'm trying to book a Taxibox for moving purposes.
I'm moving from Melbourne to Sydney on the 14th of March.
I'm trying to get a taxibox delivered to my address (on-street parking) on the 12th of March - I'll be on site to receive it.
I don't know my future address on Sydney yet, so I've put down Sydney - 2000 as the delivery address.
When trying to book the taxibox, I get this greyed out box in the "Delivery dates" form, and I can't proceed further. Am I doing something wrong?
