    Perfect TV for home entertainment

    published

Purchased from appliances online last year. Its not full HD but still shows true color tune. Comes with facility of app store, in built wifi, netflix, you tube. Newer versions comes with web browsing as well. Valuable in terms of price. Very light weight and consumes lowest electricity with 5 star ratings. Excellent in comparison with other models of popular brands like sony, LG, etc.

    Horrible Stand-by LED

    published

TV is good for its price, entry level smart TV with wifi and most of the required bells and whistles. Only issue with the TV is the stand-by LED is really bright. The TCL maintenance menu is different to most TCL TV's and I am not sure any way to dim or turn off this LED.

I had to take the TV apart in the end to tape it. I made a video and uploaded it to YouTube. Be aware you will have to do be prepared to do this if you purchase this TV, unless you like the nightlight the TV beams out!

Average TV, but good value for money.

    published

Purchased from one of the big retailers, I just wanted something that would fit in the caravan and draw very little power. This it achieved very well. Picture quality was quite good for a faux Full HD display, sound adequate. But for value for money, this TV can't be beaten. It's still too early to report on reliability issues, but so far, so good.

    Perfect tv for second room

    published

Purchase this tv for my bedroom to watch Netflix, the TV is inexpensive but still has a great set of features, the picture quality was sharp. TV is lightweight, slim, easy to move. Good value, quality product backed by 3 year warranty. This is the perfect TV for a bedroom.

Ok for a bedroom TV ONLY

    published

The picture quality is just OK but no where close to the LG HD TV (also 720P) it replaced.
I wanted a TV I can watch Netflix on without the added paraphernalia.
There is a dedicated Netflix button on the remote control which is excellent.
BUT Netflix never, never loads up the first time. It starts loading up and then crashes. You have to try loading it 2-4 times to get it to run.

Considering I bought the TV to watch Netflix, it is a bit of an inconvenience but for the price ($250 cheaper than LG/ Samsung) I can't complain much.

Value for money with good PQ and SQ

    published

Purchased for kids bedroom for watching TV, movies and Netflix. Compared side by side in shop to equivalent Hisense. Picture Quality (PQ) and Sound Quality (SQ) equal to Hisense, but $100 cheaper to buy! Overall value for money.

    Hi,
Yes, it IS annoyingly bright. I solved the problem with a piece of black insulating tape, as there is no way, short of unplugging the unit, to disable or diminish the LED.
Other people, I have heard, paint the LED with a little nail polish.

    Good luck!
