Not surprised its discontinued!! Except you can still buy it.
Read your TCL warrantee very carefully because we've found it just about meaningless.
The aerial inlet connection into the TV breaks easily and is not covered by your warrantee as TCL say you must have done something to break it.
We spent 5 days telling them the TV had not been moved by anyone but they insisted the connection could only have been broken if the TV had been moved with the aerial still in place.
We understand this is a common problem with all TCL TVs, so a 3 year warrantee is useless. Basically, if you can afford a TV other than TCL we would suggest you consider it.
Purchased this tv not long ago. Must say, very happy with the quality. A smart tv in this size, for a great price! You can’t go wrong. Very simple to set up, and very easy to navigate.
Excellent TV for the price.
Just wanted a Cheap 50 inch FHD TV to use as a Computer Monitor and Screen for our racing simulator. The TV is used with both an X-Box 360 and a PC for Racing games and general computer functions. Wanted it to have reasonable contrast and sound for the price. This model was recommended by the salesman at Harvey Norman as being one of the better cheap brands for reliability and performance. I liked the picture in the store and the sound also seemed reasonable. Overall, I have been more than happy with the quality and performance of this chea...per TV. The only minor issue so far has been that a couple of times it hasn't responded to the remote and I've had to turn it on via buttons on the back which fortunately are easy enough to access. It also takes a little longer to turn on and allow switching of the source and searches for you tube material than our two dearer Smart TVs.
poor quality vision and power light too bright
Disappointed with this tv. Very poor quality screen vision - contrast already at highest point. the power light at the front is way too bright you can't turn it off and it keeps you up all night. The support people did answer my query quickly though and said they were working on a solution to the light

Good clear TV given the low price point
The first TV was dead on arrival and the TV wobbled as the stand was not aligned. The replacement TV worked fine. Pretty clear picture, simple user interface, and enough inputs for our purpose. The menu is reasonably easy to understand but a bit slow to change channels as most TVs in this price point.
The contrast is reasonably good and allows you to see dark blacks and greys well. Again, we paid $750 for this 50" FHD Smart TV so given its cheap price it is a competitive model to buy.
Good value for money
Needed a new TV in a hurry when our 8 year old 42" plasma died.
As always it happened when finances were strained, just paid 2 regos and insurances,
So went for the budget option, the TCL 55" at $649 from Harvey Norman,
Very impressed with picture quality and ease of installation.
Good affordable TV
Good affordable smart 55" TV. 3 HDMI points one USB. Picture is fine. Love the Netflix and YouTube button on remote. Easy to set up to WI FI. Nice design. Sound is great, much better than my old plasma. Have only had this TV for a few weeks but so far so good.

Why has pictures gone blurry
My tv won’t stay on. We turn it on and after 10 seconds it switches off. What could be causing this and how can I fix it. The tv is only about 2 years old
