How are they still in business?
Ordered a small item from their website ($27 inc postage). Delivery listed as 1-3 business days. Phoned a week later to be told it was still on order with manufacturer and would be another 2 weeks. Emailed a follow up 3 weeks later (auto-response indicated reply < 24 hours). Phoned 4 days later after no communication. Was advised someone would check on progress and phone / email me same day. Still waiting 3 days later. First and last time I'll use these people.

Hopeless
Communication is extremely poor. Call up and still get given incorrect information about an order you're waiting on. Take forever to sort out even basic orders and make promises they can't keep. Don't bother...

Really slow to despatch
I made my purchase and paid using Paypal. 9 days later I get a message saying my item had successfully been posted. So either they didn't have the item in stock or they move like a sloth once they've got your money; either of which is poor service and a shocking approach to customer experience - considering their web site brags about how much stock they carry.

Disappointed!
Item dispatched and delivered fast but shocking customer service after purchase, emailed them to return an incorrectly purchased product, techbuy replied 1 month later with a question to which I replied immediately, no word from them, I eventually followed up again and they sited policy of not accepting returns from orders made over 3 months, when they help up the entire process!!!! feeling ripped off and very disappointed, be wary..
Unable To Fulfill Order, Long Delay In Advising Me
I ordered a Saitek Trim wheel on the 21st of February. Two days later they sent me an email saying my order was being processed. I emailed them asking them to advise me when they would be able to ship my order. They never replied. I did not hear back from them until today, the 09th of March, when they informed me that they would be unable to fulfill my order. Knowing that they didn't have the item in stock, they should have replied to my first email on the 23rd of February, so that I could have cancelled my order, waited 5 days for a refund thr...
Read moreough PayPal, and ordered the trim wheel from a company that actually has the items it has listed for sale on its website in stock. "Dear Sir/Madam This email is to advise you of the following status of your order no. 483578. As Saitek has been acquired by Logitech, the Saitek supplier has advised that they will no longer be able to get this product for you.Sj89Sydney

Good local business
I've used Techbuy a few times and haven't been disappointed in their service, I've bought a few printers and computer parts for myself and family, being a local shop in Sydney it was easy to go in and pickup. I haven't had any issues with anything I've ordered. There is a delay with some products being available, but I have been advised where there are no stock after waiting for about a week.
I think if you are patient you can get a bargain from Techbuy as they do have competitive prices, but if you aren't then go elsewhere, sometimes its good to give them a call and see if they have things in stock - never had an issue with their customer service.
Worse Experience Ever.
Stay away from TECHBUY. Unless you're happy to still NOT receive your item a month and a half from the day you ordered with absolutely no response from customer support..
From the time we placed our order to now, we've received up to 6 emails updating us on the status of our order giving us an ETA. After multiple attempts at emailing their support with no response, we decided to give them a call. We were then told (a month after order was placed) that they did not even have the item at their warehouse yet.
Save your time. Shop elsewhere.

Good experience.
Purchased a gaming monitor from them. they were concerned about the packaging having being resealed from supplier, this was due to manufacturer putting australian type plug in box. Good to see they were concerned and investigated further, very fast response via e-mail and delivery.

No after sales support
A particular product - the Norco 4224 - has a known fault, in that the backplanes kill hard drives. (due to bad engineering/design.)
Techbuy replaced the 3 I thought were faulty (out of 6), but didn't mention it was a known fault and they had been supplied replacements for warranty purposes. Instead, they list them on the webpage for sale, to those outside of warranty. Scum bags.
Try contact them regarding and you'll get no reply.
Absolutely Terrible Would Not Recommend!
I bought a phone it broke, apparently with a common fault thanks Sony. I then troubleshot it and called sony who said I could return to it them for repairs - if it was Australian stock. Unfortunately despite them being an Australian business they purchased stock from overseas so when I told Sony that they said I would have to return it to tech buy who could return it under the two year manufacturers warranty for repair. Techbuy ignored my emails and refused to help me with anything. I now have to pay sony to repair the phone out of my own pocke...
Read moret even though its covered under a warranty and all techbuy have to do is return it and it will be repaired for free. They were rude, unhelpful and refused to do anything to help me whatsover. I would absolutely not recommend them to anyone, the savings aren't worth the hassle in dealing with them. Completely unprofessional I agree with a review that says its run by monkeys.Item never arrived
Ordered iPhone 5s case it never arrived. Reported it to PayPal and then a refund was done thereafter. Didn't have the advertised item in stock. Very disappointing and will not be using this service again.

Liars And Scammers
Used them for many years. Everything was fine for years until I tried to get support on a 4GB video card that I had purchased.
They sent me a 2GB version and have refused to replace it for 5 months now. It is still under warranty, but they still refuse to give me what I payed for or even let me return it to them (yeah you need their approval to return an item to them - or it will get lost or something?!).
Their support staff are arrogant and seem to just make things up.
Be warned! Never, ever, buy from this company.

Never arrived. Never ordered the item.
Had ordered an item, they took the money, hadn't heard anything for 7 days. Rang up, they hadn't even order the item yet. Didn't explain why. Just did nothing. Will not use again.

False advertising scam artists
I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S6 128gb sapphire black which was listed on sale on their website. I paid with PayPal and everything went through as confirmed.
Next day I received an email saying that the item is no longer available. I jumped on their site and sure enough it had been marked as not available. So I did another search on their sites and I found a "new" listing of a Samsung Galaxy S6 128gb sapphire black...... EXACTLY the same listing word for word (including the Samsung part number) just with a new price.... $200 dearer!
I rang t...
Read morehem immediately and got hold of some guy who basically said he didn't know what was happening and would find out and call me back. I waited all day and no one called so I rang them again. I got another guy who said they forgot to remove the listing from the website and that there was no way it should have been that price any more. I told him that isn't my problem as if you advertise it for a certain price and then back down it's called false advertising. He didn't care and basically told me to go elsewhere if I didn't like it!Find out how Techbuy compares to other Electronics & Computing Shops

Woeful customer service. Avoid and buy in store if you can.
These guys give online tech commerce a bad name. They'll sell but when there's a problem, they'll delay until the cows come home. Do not buy from this crap company.

Poorly Organised Box-Shifters
You make an order, they keep no stock of most things, so they order it in to their store, put their fees on, then ship it to you when they eventually get it. They don't show you if items are in stock or not until you've made the order, then you have to wait while they order the parts in. Very poor customer experience.
Posted to wrong address, ignored all support requests
I purchased some computer hardware, updated my address details then hit purchase. The system didn't update the details and wrong address was locked in. Immediately notified them with my concerns and information that was ignored for 8 business hours and the package was sent to wrong address. 5 days later, still not a single response from a rep. You guys are rubbish.

No product, but very rapid cancellation
Well, I ordered what I thought was a fairly uncommon Otterbox product from these guys, and though the website said it was in stock, it turned out that it wasn't. There was gong to be a minimum 10 day wait. Fortunately, they refunded my money through Paypal within 20 minutes of my email. Excellent service, from that point of view! Go team.
Cowboys
I purchased 4 speakers at a good price to pick up from the store, I heard nothing for 4 days, then when I call some guy tells me the price has gone up and I could only have one at the sale price, I said but I've already ordered 4 at the sale price, he said I'll get back to you, I had to call them next day to get the same story from the same guy, just muttering looking for a way out, no apologetic n explanation, I hung up a very angry customer, I didn't pay any money as I was going to pay on pickup but going by other comments it's a good job I didn't as others are commenting they had trouble getting a refund from them. As it turned out bing lee matched there sale price and thanked me with a friendly handshake.
