I purchased 4 speakers at a good price to pick up from the store, I heard nothing for 4 days, then when I call some guy tells me the price has gone up and I could only have one at the sale price, I said but I've already ordered 4 at the sale price, he said I'll get back to you, I had to call them next day to get the same story from the same guy, just muttering looking for a way out, no apologetic n explanation, I hung up a very angry customer, I didn't pay any money as I was going to pay on pickup but going by other comments it's a good job I didn't as others are commenting they had trouble getting a refund from them. As it turned out bing lee matched there sale price and thanked me with a friendly handshake.
Don't Buy From Techbuy
I Ordered $500 worth of parts , 2 weeks later i get a message saying they don't have them. Thats ok i thought ill just cancel the order get a refund and go find somewhere else that stocks them. Never received a refund or the parts and now i'm short $500 and annoyed.

Fast shipping to perth
Surprisingly fast shipping on my new Lifeproof case to Perth. Ordered Monday on my desk on Tuesday. Interestingly the "express" shipping was cheaper than regular? No complaints!

Never Use TechBuy
Never use TechBuy, they hold your goods random until you pay additional fees, they promise to deliver on a date and then promise to deliver next day when they fail. 2 weeks on still no delivery, lucky I paid with PayPal!
I managed to blow up my motherboard in a lightning storm. Seeing that techbuy had what i needed/wanted to upgrade i figured I'd give them a shot. I wanted a quick turnaround on parts since I knew i'd need my computer fairly urgently. So I did what i thought was best, called up their customer service and asked them to check for the stock on my items (which included motherboard, ssd with mounting bracket, graphics card and ram - i even gave them specific part numbers from their site to make it easy.) In all, roughly $2500 worth of stuff. The...customer service agent checked all the parts i wanted and assured me that they were either in stock in my closest store or available in their other stores to get shipped right away. One day after payment I get an email stating the ram i requested was no longer available. Not to worry, i thought, and told them to find the closest equivalent in a different brand (I even payed the difference in cost!) Another 6 days later they send me yet another email telling me that the REPLACEMENT ram is no longer available either. It took them 6 days to figure out that they didn't have stock on an item that they had already FAILED to check properly the first time i called. So i emailed them, and told them to change it again. 3 days on and my order is still 'waiting' on my ram before it's being shipped. Spectacularly poor customer service. Either that or their stock management program is atrocious.
I bought a printer and a scanner through the Techbuy website a week ago. The purchase totalled approximately $600. I was suprised the purchase had not been delivered already as it was listed as in stock in the city I live (Sydney). I logged onto the account I created with Techbuy when I made the purchase. The order status said "fuurther identification verification" was required to progress my order. I called Techbuy and they said their intpayment processing team selects "large" orders by new customers for further verification, which is wha...t had happened to me. They only notify you of this by email. My email filed their notification as junk. I gave them both my mobile phone numbers when I created my account but they didn't bother calling me. I suggested they should have wanrned me at the point of purchase that my first time purchase may require verification, just so I'd know to look out for an email. The customer service guy was totaly dismissive, made no attempt to empathise or acknowldge the inconvenience. Spare yourself the frustration if you are a new customer and buy from someone else.

I used to buy from this place for the last 10 years but over time I have realised how bad their service is. They are now usually overprice compared to other website companies. So look at other websites to purchase your computer items. There are many other websites and computer companies that are far better. The costumer after care was also terrible. You may be better taking your issues to the nsw trades practices commission regarding this company. Once you part with your money you will never get it back. Even if it is not delivered, and if there is a problem it is always the customers fault.

Have ordered a large number of computer parts from these guys over the years (since 2006 or so). In general service is good, pricing is reasonable and delivery of goods or updates on processing of the orders are very reliable. Have only once had a breakage and this was clearly the courier's fault and resolved quickly and without incident. Always ships using Australia Post including to PO BOX's providing the shipment amount is below the Australia Post limits which definitely helps with reliable delivery. If you want something quickly, or som...ething specific, prefer '1-3 days' or 'in stock' items as these are more likely to arrive. Otherwise there is the possibility that the item won't be available anymore and you will need to substitute it.

They use Couriers please, and the courier had attempted delivery and failed to leave a note.
upon organizing to have my package redelivered i was advised by the courier that they would be there in the 9am to 11am morning slot but if they weren't i could leave ATL and they would leave my package.
i returned to find the ATL gone but the package was not there as a result of the second attempt they had returned package to sender.
False & Misleading advertising
I purchased a product from their site, firstly they didn't list the product would take 1 month to order in. They accepted the payment and then told me it would take a month. Next when the product arrived it was completely different to what they advertised. They made a ridiculous claim that I shouldn't have opened it, quite simple I told them how was I meant to see there was no software inside if I didn't open the package. I had to take them to Fair Trading, case is still pending. But beware of this retailer.
Deliverd late and the product was not was advertised.

Bought a product.. After returning it for the 3rd time (warranty) asked to upgrade to the latest model. Told would have to buy it then will be refunded when they get advice from the manufacturer. Well after over 10 years dealing with this company Ive never met such a grouped effort not to provide a refund as this. Was told on the phone 6 times (over 2 weeks) that a refund would be/has been processed and it just never happened. I sent an email to support & accounts and flat put got zero response.
There are plenty of other technology sellers ...around use them. Do not shop at Techbuy because if you have a problem they will bald face lie to you and just not honour a refund. This is now in the hands of Fair Trading NSW No refund for faulty product despite guarantees

I've bought quite a few components from Techbuy over the last 10 years and have never had an issue with them. I have had a couple of warranty returns and all have gone smoothly and were swapped straight over. They have always been quick to respond to any emails and kept me up to date when items have been on backorder.
Most recently I purchased a rackmout homer server build from Techbuy. Normally I would buy the components separately, and then put together the build myself. However, this time I wasn’t sure whether everything would fit inside ...the short depth case due to limited information available anywhere on the net and I didn’t want to take the risk on getting stuck with a bunch of parts that wouldn’t fit together. The service from TechBuy was great, from the initial enquiries through to the after-sales support. The rep I dealt with helped to confirm that the components should be compatible prior to ordering, and did his best to price match. While not matching pricing from other sources he was able to offer discounts of between $5-$10 off most items, so in the end the build cost wasn’t much more than if I’d had the parts shipped from several sources and put it together myself. The build was shipped within 7 days of placing an order, despite some parts having to be obtained from their distributors, and was received overnight. The server was double boxed and well packed. The overall build quality and cable management was very neat and of a high standard. A small folder was included in the shipment containing all of the spares, manuals and driver discs. The build team omitted a couple of case screws and the spare full-height bracket for the LAN card, however they were posted straight away at no cost, and without question when I contacted them. Techbuy carry a broad range of parts and components, many of which are not available from any other retailer in Australia. While their pricing on some of these parts may not match those of some Ebay vendors, I generally know I’ll be getting something that will work, and can easily return if there are issues. Postage charges are quite competitive. Good diverse range, great communication, great service, great after sales support I wish they had a Brisbane store so I could avoid postage charges

I purchased a cover for my Google Android tablet, but it was the wrong size. The company used every excuse to say they wouldn't refund me, ignoring fair trading laws. The item was returned in pristine condition. They are now claiming to have no record of the return, hence no refund. Buyer beware.

I ordered a Samsung VG-STC 3000 TV Camera on the 12th January, ten days later I receive an Email stating estimated delivery will be on the 24th January. Already far to long for delivery outside of Australia let alone inside, I waited until the 28th before ringing them. After getting off the phone I receive an Email stating estimated delivery is the 04th February. I don't normally get to emotional about situations like this, so waiting a few more days wouldn't be that bad. Today the 10th February I ring again, calmly talking to the guy stating i...t has nearly been a month since ordering the camera. He assures me he will ring the supplier and chase it up, he would put me on hold but it normally takes 30 minutes to get through, he would send me an Email as soon as he finds out. Literally two minutes after getting off the phone I receive an Email (Very quick!!!!) stating expected delivery 19th February!! The great thing is I paid the highest postage charge (How Ironic) but get no discount on delivery costs, apparently. Price Still not here

Bought a Shuttle PC which bricked on me after the manufacturer's recommended BIOS update. I sent it back on October 1st 2013, and told it would take about two to three weeks for me to receive it back. So I wait patiently for an update - no phone calls, no emails from them with any updates. I phone up at the beginning of November and they follow up for me, supposing to get in touch with me the next day. To my surprise a week went by without any communication. I called up again to find out what was going on and they said the manufacturer had sent...it out to me and it should be with me soon. Two weeks later I receive it. However, there was no power supply or VESA mounting screws & plates (I sent these back because they requested all items). So I call up again and they say they will send these items out. A week later, I receive the mounting plates, and half of the power supply - it was missing the wall-to-power supply lead. So for about 10 weeks, I have been without my $285 + $17 for postage out to me. Then the $35 for sending the item back to them. Not once have I received an apology (however, always excuses about how it's not their fault, but the manufacturer - newsflash, Techbuy - it is your fault. I purchased it from Techbuy, not Shuttle). I have never received a gesture of goodwill. Unfortunately, this experience has left me with a sour taste in my mouth and will be avoiding Techbuy at all costs, and advise all friends, family, and colleagues to steer clear of them. It is especially unfortunate for me, as I now need to find another supplier for the product I have been trying to get repaired. My business was considering using Techbuy for our main supplier of this product, but after this debacle I have zero confidence in the company.

I bought a NAS drive from them Thursday (10th Oct 13) because the website info says they deliver in 1-3 days, just spoken to them and they said it would be next Thursday (17th Oct 13) at most. I did not even receive an apology, it looks like this is a once off online shop. Never again to shop with them. Had i known i would have bought one from the others. Shocking customer service!!!

Bunch of misleading idiots
I ordered a laptop from their website that was "in-stock", but two days after the transaction went through an e-mail is sent to me informing me that they're out of stock. I was given the option of either paying more money for a different laptop or receiving a refund. I choose to get a refund, in which the money was suppose to appear in my bank account 1-2 days after my cancellation confirmation.....it has been 8 days now. I have a large amount of money out of my account and no laptop because they screwed on their end . I heard only good things about 'techbuy', but when they screw up you're the one who has to clean up the mess.
I`ve ordered a Siberia V2 frost from them on August 9th 2013 and im still waiting for them! I've made some few calls to them to ask them when the delivery will be made and they keep saying oh it will come either tomorrow or some other time, so i was so sick of waiting i decided to cancel my order and buy it off ebay faster.

Poor communication and irresponsible behaviour
I have shopped with Techbuy a number of times in recent years. The most recent one was appalling. I ordered 8 items in total on August 31, 2013. No delivery or any communication till September 13 when I received an email saying that my order will be delivered soon. As I checked online, they removed one item from my order without any notice and dispatched the remaining 7 items they have at hand. The other item just evaporated from the list and problem solved for them.
I was stunned by the behaviour and the lack of any communication. I will never buy from techbuy again.

Ordered an expensive device that their site said would ship in 1-3 days. Almost 3 months later all I've so far received is delay after delay telling me the item is on backorder. If it was going to be like that then please be honest with customers and say that up front. The latest is I will have to wait ANOTHER two weeks, and their site STILL says if you order today it will ship in 1-3 days! Don't believe what you read on the site!
The only positive is that they keep sending emails to say it's being delayed (again). Better than silence, but not much!

The product worked as expected when tested. I would happily use the Tech Buy online ordering process again should they have a product that I require again in the future.

be careful they were offering the msi leopard i7 at a ridicules cheap price $500 below retail price i added to cart but then decided to check reviews and saw this forum. so then decided to call and see if they had in stock thinking i would pickup instead of delivery, they were arrogant and they also told me not in stock on back order purchase or something waiting for stock from warehouse.. full of crap dont buy you will get screwed
