I have a regal iron I am also experiencing the same daily the base has started leaking ? Any ideas why , I can’t return it to the store in UK as I live overseas . Thanks

I have a tefal steam iron which is about 2 yrs old max and is leaking from the base. It empties out as fast as i fill it. I dont have the receipt anymore. What can i do. This is the 3rd tefal iron i have had in 6yrs and if i cant get it fixed without spending a cent. Id never recommend these irons.

My Tefal Express Compact Iron has been working well for about 4 years but suddenly water started leaking from underneath the stand and then moments later I pushed to start button and it just pushed in and never turned on or came back out again. Please tell me what I should do? Thank you. Ann

Hi i have a Tegal steam iron and it is only two years old cost quite a bit and it loses water from the base - empties out completely. I cannot believe that such an expenive iron could do this - bought it from David jones. Can anyone help?

Hi Rosie,

What's the warranty on this iron? Can you bring it back to DJ and get an exchange. I had a similar problem with my iron (not this model) and I took it back to Harvey Norman, and they swapped it for a new iron. Good luck.

My Tefal pro express steam iron leaks water from the sole plate whist ironing. Any ideas ?

I have cleaned the anti calc a few times but still leaking.

My tefal express steam iron has decided to leak from the base. The same thing happened to my mothers one after only two years and shortly after it stopped working. Please advise how to fix this?

How can i clean my iron plate? Its burnt and marking items. Is it now damaged ..?

Hi Texas, Your Soleplate is not damaged and can be cleaned. We recommend that you purchase a soleplate cleaner from your local supermarket. You can find them in the laundry Isle, one example is High Speed - Hot Iron Cleaner and is approx $6-$8. You apply the cream on the soleplate with a soft cloth whilst it is warm to touch this will remove and stains or burnt on objects.
