Do not bother
After being with telecom for 3 years. I'm trying to move house. They initially said yes. But then last minute said no carn't do it. With no reason why. Despite also wanting an upgrade in tiers. Switched companies. And said no worries
Impossible to contact when you need to
My subscription was supposed to end on 31st January, written notice given 3 dec but they still charged me for February. Phone constantly engaged, chat off line and emails unanswered!!!!!!
Scam artist rip off merchant.
Been with this backyard dodgy company for the past terrible year. Paid for 100Mbps plan last year on fixed wireless. With sites barely hitting 8000Mbps at all ever. What a frigging joke. Talk about SCAM ARTIST, RIP OFF MERCHANT. The kicker about this 100Mbps plan is, there is no such thing as 100Mbps available through nbn for fixed wireless. It was cancelled and turned off by nbn in May or so last year because nbn said it is too expensive and not viable to have switched on. So if you have a 100Mbps wireless plan with this company, be warned you...are being ripped off for something that doesn't exist. They are fraudulent. Any to go to the ombudsman to find out how to get refunded and also how to get money back for ripping me off with my current plan, as I am on 50000Mbps and only get 8000Mbs max. Look it up, we are entitled to a refund. Scum company.
Expect unusable speeds and service during on peak times.
Expect a fraction of your contracted speeds during on peak times.
Also require 30 days notice prior to cancellation so expect another bill before cancellation.
When i had first signed up service and speeds had been satisfactory, however fast forward 12 months the line stability and speed has degraded to unusable levels during on peak times.
Plenty of other providers out there would steer well clear of this mob.
avoid at all costs
they never provided a service to the level of performance i had purchased. 50mbs service, with fibre to the premises (into our apartment) - never saw those speeds - typical speeds were around 15mbs, no faster than our previous broadband service which cost significantly less. their customer service is non existent. their website is terrible. there are far better providers out there.
Terrible service. Will use every trick to squeeze more money from you
Might seem like a good deal but there are a bunch of different providers that can supply the exact same service with a lot less headache. Wouldn’t be surprised if they bought a bunch of good reviews based on their previous behaviour.
Teleron’s service was incredibly difficult to set up initially.
Tech support (when you can actually get hold of them) were rude and unhelpful. They don’t even have a contact number readily listed. This should have been a red flag but I was naive.
With the pay as you go style plans you aren’t given any o...ption to actually pay the bill. You just have to wait until they decided to try and take the money. They also very quick to slap on late fees and other charges. If I wanted to have money automatically taken from my accounts I would have sign up to one of the those plans and not fork out the money for the connection fee. It’s just a sketchy business man who paid for a fancy looking website who’s on selling the same service as everyone else while trying to squeeze every last dollar from unsuspecting customers.
Beware - poor service coupled with threats
Connection never met speeds charged for and many drop outs. Things got worse when I attempted to exit.
When I spoke with them 2 months prior to the end of contract wanting to end early(reasonable given service never received as per contract) I was threatened by who I later learned to be [name removed] the CEO.
Beware that this provider will make on boarding very easy, however this is where the service ends. You are not going to be helped nor appropriately billed.
The plan pricing is good signup was a breeze, they connected me very quickly, however from there I never got a good speed. I was getting 5-6mb/sec on the 12mb plan, I complained and did 10 speed tests so they could investigate further but I always had to follow them up and they never fixed it they wanted more speed tests which I didn’t have time to do!
6 months later I changed to 25mb in hope of better speed I paid $35 (rip off) to change my speeds which were then approx 17mb/sec- however most of the time my Netflix would work but the rest ...the net was unusable, I was surprisingly asked for more speed tests and they never did much more to fix it. I emailed them that I was leaving and they advised me that I had to give one months notice, so I asked what would happen if I didn’t, they, no joke, called me and straight up told me I would be referred to a debt collector! I was quite angry as you can imagine and it was only after a few questions I established that I would have to pay one more months worth to be rid of them- I agreed to this gladly to be rid of them, even though I think this is just poor form on their behalf. Now I’m with a new provider who gives me amazing speed, I won’t be back mainly because of the poor manner tech support have dealt with my case, and that they were only determined to help me when i started talking about leaving.
Terrible customer service and internet service
Have been with them for 6 months and had nothing but trouble up to 20 dropouts per day, we call them all the time and they are really not interested in helping us, today there service is just completley down which is great. Do not go with these crooks
There is a reason its cheap..
I paid extra for 25+mbps and found the speeds woeful. Opten failed to stream and I ended up using the 4G on my phone! PLUS $200 to relocate the service if you have to move! What a joke. My advice, stick to the names you know, give Teleron a miss.
Extremely rude and threatening
When my pre teleron service was excellent i have the good NBN but decided to try reducing costs. Teleron service was too slow to watch basic news items on internet then dropped out totally. I changed to TPG. Like a snail to a rocket ship Teleron where extremely rude and threatening. Without a bill or any kind of notice they removed 250 from my bank account (cancellation fee) within half hour of cancelling my service they could not provide. Bank grabbed it back from them so then. I got threatening emails of legal action etc. so i paid it again. And will contact ombudsman. Beware they do not behave like any business i have come across in my 60 years big chip on there shoulder.
The level of service with these guys is non existent. They own nothing and just resell others products. They under-buy massively and you can expect (in Melbourne at least) to have no ability to play games or expect a stable connection. Limited service hours. Rude staff, refusal to help. I'm paying my $200 break-fee happily to end this contract early. Do not sign. I suspect most of these 'positive' reviews have been purchased by Teleron themselves. It's exactly the sort of thing an unscrupulous company such as this would do.
Worst company service ever
We had Teleron NBN connection to an elderly persons home and the connection was repeatedly lost which necessitated resetting of the modem each time. Now you might think that an easy process. Press a button and off you go right, No. There were so many steps to resetting the service and it was so time consuming it became beyond a joke. The service was supposed to include a phone service but it took 2 months to set that up and running and then it would be on an off over and over again. The service was so bad it put the elderly person in danger. If she were to have a fall there were days on end when the service just wasn't operational. Its not user friendly, efficient or reliable. But yes, it was cheap. You get what you pay for.
Sign up if you want snail speeds and congestion at night time.
Just come off a 1yr contract with these guys and ran faster than Usain Bolt outta here! First three months I was getting 4-12Mbps on a 50 plan (Lousy), Night time was deplorable, Netflix would buffer. Got the standard nonsense from them reset modem, its the lines in your area or it was NBN Maintenance. TELERON buy the minimum amount of wholesale bandwidth from NBN Co, just like every other flaky ISP in this country. Most other countries you don't even pay for data you just pay for a subscription and get the internet. People need to WAKE THE HEL...L UP! Large majority of cases when you call up your ISP because of slow speeds at night is because your service provider is being stingy with how much Bandwidth they buy. They Luuuuuurve to blame the infrastructure and throw fancy terms around like Nodes, line distance, Backhaul and whatever else they can to detract from the fact that they are Dirty SOB's ripping off everybody. Think of your ISP as a water tap, customers need water and pay trash loads for it. at night time people are all thirsty and need a lot of water. but they only give enough water for a third of the amount of thirsty people, That's Congestion people. Oh and they double charged me $74 because I didn't give 30days notice of my cancellation, Dirty morons.
In WA and they obviously dont buy enough bandwith as im regularly 1-2 Mpbs
Customer service is poor and responses vague when you can actually get hold of them. I have run numerous speed tests and Teleron just don't seem to care. I'm in the market for a new NBN provider, stay away from these guys.
Questions & Answers
I have recently discovered the unreliability of the FTTN NBN. I have 5 days with no internet. Shoddy NBN techs. So I am curious if you offer a 4G backup like Telstra?
