Great speeds. So glad I waited instead of getting NBN.
Having had heard the horror stories about NBN and talking to neighbours about HFC connection in the neighbourhood I decided never to go with NBN and stay with 4g wireless connection. It was a struggle but I managed with my phone data. One day I checked for 5g rollout in my area and could not believe that Telstra was covering my area. The Wifi Pro 5g is an expensive piece of gear for sure and Telstra's pricing is needless to say amongst the highest in the country. But I decided to take the plunge and I can honestly say I am very very satisfied t...hus far with the speed. As I write this Okla shows 96.10 mbps download and 57.88 mbps upload. I don't know if these are great speeds but these are the best I have ever experienced in my home. I get 400 gigs for $75 per month. Got the device on a 12 month plan for $39.91. Pricey but well worth the speeds. I don't experience heavy traffic drop outs at this stage either. My only gripe would be with Telstra's initial customer service. In my first two interactions the service officers blatantly lied about the cost charging me $85 per month for 400 gigs. However, my follow-up interactions with two different service officers was simply brilliant. They easily managed to find the problem and resolve it honestly for me. For that I am truly grateful.
Purchased in June 2021 at Telstra Stores.
Excellent wireless internet modem for anyone who travels within Australia.
Purchased from The Good Guys, this wireless modem delivers good reliable internet speeds even in low signal areas. signals are low here, but downloads above 200Mbps and upload around 10Mbps.
