Ok my dad has had his Telstra home phone on for just under 50 years now they are trying to tell him he needs the nbn down well they that he now can’t get his phone to work as they made him get a new phone cause the old one dident work on the nbn so he went and got one of these new Telstra phones and now they r saying he needs to put some numbers or something like that in it to get it to work I can’t work it out how is my 76 year old father work it out plz help

My Call Guardian 301 always displays standard time. Spent months correcting (adjust to daylight saving) but time displayed always reverts to standard time. Any resolution please. Determined to adjust display hope to resolve before we cease Daylight Saving!

We switched to NBN this week and although I've tried to reset the date and time on the Call Guardian handsets, they keep going back about 12-15 hours to the previous day. Simply won't save. Main phone connected to Telstra NBN modem, and other two around the house. Problem is that we set phone to "do not disturb " for the night, and with settings suddenly going backwards they go to late pm during the day triggering the do not disturb.
Otherwise, absolutely love the product. 5 plus stars

Can I use a DECT repeater on my 3 set of Guardian 301. Is the Guardian repeater enabled as it has to go through steel and concrete walls with the base unit downstairs some distance away. Will the Panasonic DECT repeater or any repeater work with the 301 or can Telstra sell us one......John

Like all Telstra Documentation key parts are not covered!
As I said Telstra Service is an oxymoron. It is a system designed to isolate the executive from the customer.
If you read the documentation it directs you to 132200, and after you battle your way through their incomprehensible computer protocols, the operator will tell you they have not been trained on this product.

I thought I was the only one. My 86 year old father was sold a Telstra Call Guardian Phone. Did everything by the book. Rings once only then stops. Needless to say the Telstra Shop know nothing about the phone. Ring this number or pay $286 to have a technician come out. It is a disgrace!

Do newest model have ability to disconnect the screening process?

Not that I could see or find. I got mine a couple of months ago. You you can put call forward on the phone and that takes precedence over the screening, but then your un-screened calls go to another phone.

hi , one of our handsets reads the same when we push the "calls" button "currently not available " anyone know how to fix , cheers john

hi , Lynda we now have both 301 handsets working , handset 2 was the problem one , it didn't ring , "currently not available" ect , the main phone base has handset 1 , I took it out and put handset 2 in it and handset 1 in the handset 2 base and called using my mobile phone both phone rang , then replaced the handsets in original holders , and they are now both working , must have reset phone 2 , hope it helps , cheers john

ringing out on the 301 I can hear the receiver but they cannot hear me, I have 2 sets and the other one is fine. Have I accidently pressed a wrong button to cause this

That's weird. If you have the manual you could try to do a reset of the handset settings, if you haven't done that already.

If i want to hear the screening & NOT have the calls sent straight through to the 301's answering machine should i have the setting answer phone on or off?

When I press the dial button just get a continuous dial tone. When I dial the number from a mobile just goes to message bank

Can you key in a phone number, then press the green call button and then get to the number called?
That's odd that it goes to message bank. Are you calling from a number that has been accepted by the phone?

We reset the black box and now ok
