Telstra rewards plus pay shopping- Horrible and a big time waste
I ordered apple power beats pro using 30000 points and more than 250 dollars. The earphones arrived promptly but did not work (only 1 was working). I called Telstra and was advise to call apple. Apple said that they cannot register the product as the model number was not in their records. Called telstra again and they said they will replace it. I was sent an email via Aus post to return the product. I returned it on 16th Aug as per instructions. I still have the aus post tracking number and proof of return.
The item was successfully sent and de...
Defective item ( DOA ) impossible to return
I ordered a present for my daughter through Telstra Plus and Telstra points.
On her Birthday 24 August, she unpacked and it did not work.
I Did contact Telstra via chat, and they ( very apologetically ) said they would send me a return satchel. It never arrived.
So I contacted them again, and ( very apologetically again ) said again they would escalate this, did provide an escalation number in the chat, but the chat does not give transcript. Waited, and NOTHING happened.
So I contacted them again, and same thing, they assured me that I would g...
Telstra Plus Rewards Risky
I claimed Rewards + cash on a Telstra Call Guardian 301 MK2, The box was thrown in a postage satchel, no protection or anything so the box was trashed looked like something second hand. I was going to gift it but due to the box being so damaged I couldn't risk it as the contents could be damaged too. So I tried contacting customer service for a exchange but the person said that's not a option and for me to look around the house for another box even after I said its going to be a gift. I said don't you do returns/exchanges she said no. I tried t...o ring customer service a number of times and there aren't any. I'm not even going to bother, you will be given the run around. I won't use the Rewards + cash program ever again, I'm just glad it was a small purchase for me. Very risky purchasing as any damage or returns will be a nightmare. The customer service person I spoke to was from overseas and she said to me exchanges and returns are not an option lol. She put me on hold and I ended up hanging up as she didn't come back. The postage is quick but I say Risky especially with a big purchase, if you end up with the wrong item or something damaged for me I couldn't see a resolution from Telstra. You just get the run around. Good luck
Waste Of Time And Money
I have been a telstra customer for over fourty years have telstra with landline/mobile ect this morning a bright shiny letter arrived all I got was 100 points a joke.
Missing points and no help
I signed up for Telstra Plus in May 2019 and have have NOTHING but issues with this whole point system. From not adding points at all, to taking points away for no reason.. I have had months where I have not received any points and have spent days on the phone trying to get them to correct this issue. The only thing I get is “You’re not signed up for Telstra plus” “we’ll open a case” or “we’ll escalate this”
This whole Telstra plus is a joke and a massive headache. Not worth it at all!
I redeemed points for a Fitbit in December 4, 2020. They charged my credit card twice for the extra $46, deducted the points and then nothing. Not even a confirming email. Hours wasted on the phone, emails sent, and a formal complaint lodged. Nothing. Beyond angry.
Telstra Rewards Plus
Feeling ripped off. Telstra took the points plus a payment for an apple mini pod speaker, but sent out an inferior blue ant speaker. Have spent three days of my time so far trying to talk to a real person but no luck - have to keep messaging. Was initially told it would take 3 - 5 days for contact and still waiting. SO FRUSTRATING...
Don't use Points + Pay
I used points and pay for an item worth around $500. It was returned to sender because I didn't claim the delivery?! What?! It was never delivered and I was never contacted about the delivery. I have followed up multiple times and get nothing but broken english excuses and customer service reps incapable of providing a resolution. I have made multiple complaints with no resolution and it has been 3 weeks since ordering. Do not ever use points and pay
More a punishment than a reward.
Like many others on this review site I purchased a couple of items from the Telstra rewards shop using points and cash. Whilst the cash and points were deducted immediately, the sale would not finalise and I was told to contact Telstra. I did this stating what had happened and what I had purchased. Foolishly, I assumed someone would sort out the glitch and dispatch the products.
Unfortunately, I have spent a month chasing this up and just don’t seem to be getting the customer service I need from the online virtual assistant (who’d have thought...
No communication, failed orders and missing orders
Made multiple redemptions in the Telstra Plus store and received email that item was dispatched but tracking number did not work and was never received. Also did not receive confirmation for orders but points taken from my account. They put the points back when following up, but then the issue happened again. There is no option to talk to a real person who works for Telstra Plus as they only seem to do emails and seem outsourced with no skill but copy/paste. They keep saying where I got technical errors in redeeming points I need to go to Telst...ra Shop to fix Telstra Plus by providing ID, but they cannot give any reasoning behind this considering they already have my ID when I signed up for the service. This rewards program has destroyed my opinion of Telstra and it makes me angry that they cannot get a simple task right. They would be better off removing the rewards program completely.
I tried to join this all weekend and it kept showing an error. Telstra confuse their customers with multiple logins and conflicting information. In the end the Operator couldn’t help either.
Redemption failed twice and no record exists of the order. Points get deducted though.
Would rate. zero if I could. Redemptions failed twice. The. It takes several hours to get nowhere but the points get deducted each time successfully, no surprise there. There is no record of the order and and it take hours to claim back the points.
Loyalty Program Doesn't Exist
They've put the program in place and giving you points, but they don't actually mean anything. None of the advertised benefits materialise. Should be illegal to advertise benefits that you can't actually get. They're making false promises in order to attract customers.
It doesn't exist
In early June 2020 I tried to use my many tens of thousands of Telstra Plus points to 'buy' some small speakers. Since then I have heard nothing. They haven't arrived, there is no one to email, there is no one to speak to and even the automated message system has stopped due to "Covid 19 restrictions." I wish I could use that excuse to stop paying my Telstra bills. As far as I can see the whole Telstra Plus is just promotional crap
It must be run by monkeys
Apparently Telstra Rewards turned one year old recently. Which makes sense at it behaves like a one year old. For months they have been sending me emails about signing up as their big birthday celebration is coming and I'd get a free gift. The emails contained pictures of the sort of present I could expect ... perhaps a set of headphones or a tablet or a smartphone ... these were the advertised types of items in the graphic that I could apparently look forward to. So I thought "that seems pretty good, maybe good enough to endure the sign-up h...assle. I do give Telstra over $1000 per year for my home internet so maybe they've been putting a bit aside to give me something nice for my loyalty". So after all this hullabaloo I finally received my reward the other day - a lousy 500 point bonus. I went to their site to see what this was worth ... about $1.91. Wow, thanks Telstra. At this rate in another 5 years I might have enough points to cover the postage on something.
