They wanted to cancel my order
I have bought a few things from these Guys and up until today was happy with the products and the use of the web site, Order, pay, items turn up, Simple!
However today I got an email to say they are going to cancel my order as I need to confirm my ID, WHY!!! You have all my details and I have paid for the items and you want to confrim who I am. What the hell!
I talked to them on the phone and they said it was for security, WHO's security? if my card was stolen or being used by someone else thats the BANKS problem, not yours! so now I have two lights that I ordered over 9 days ago that have still not been shipped. So really not happy about that!
Cheap (not the $) and nasty Stuff
I recently order a desk, chair and Columbus globe from here and the quality is terrible.
The globe for $140 is super cheap and nasty, badly dented, and very loose fixtures.
The desk was suppose to be MDF however it is particle board with about a 5 mill layer of mdd on some panels but not all.
The chair well that still hasn't even arrived after about 2 months.
Before all this I had to verify my Credit Card and what a nightmare that was, they sent some money back (0.10) and I had to tell them how much it was, this took about 5 days by the time my funds cleared then the ones they sent back cleared so I could tell them.

About two years ago I purchased a rug from Temple and Webster. Their photographic shoots of styled rooms really helped pick the correct rug and I am still really pleased with this rug. Recently I purchased another rug, a little out of my comfort zone but again one of the images sold me. When it arrived, it was brighter and far more synthetic looking than advertised. I listed this as my reasons for returning the item and I was told that I might need a new monitor. I am a photographer, I do not need a new monitor and as a photographer I have exte...nsive understanding of lighting and post production soft such as Lightroom. The attitude of the return team was quite passive aggressive and their return approach was plain rude. They ignored questions about earlier return dates and took up to a week to partially respond to my emails. I will never use them again. Not worth the freight risk.

I bought a dining table and all the steel work wasn't straight. Seats would wabble on the floor. Was very poor. I had to counter it by adjusting all the legs. (Very difficult)
Exceptionally Poor Service And Attitude - Rip Off Merchants
Ordered a bed through T&W. It stated in stock when I purchased it and was told I would get it in a week. 3 weeks later no bed, no communication from T&W. I had to chase them up 3 times to find out where my bed was. They advised that it was out of stock and would be delivered in another 3 weeks. 4 weeks later no bed. I had to contact them again only to find out they couldn't advise when my bed would come. Decided to switch to a cheaper bed, not happy about it, but I needed a bed, and because they had already charged me for delivery of som...ething I hadn't yet received, didn't want to cancel it because I knew I would not get the delivery cost of approximately $75 refunded. The bed I purchased was $50 cheaper. But no refund was made to me. I had to contact them several times before I even got a response, a response that was joke actually, the worst service ever. They agreed that when I purchased the bed it was $50 more expensive, but now the bed is on sale, so they wouldn't refund me the difference. I will never purchase through them again. Be careful when purchasing through this company. Such a shame because their products are good quality, but service is terrible. :(
Piper entertainment cabinet
Bought the Piper high gloss white entertainment unit, took way longer for delivery than estimated, poor quality material and finish. The high gloss looks yellow or off white in places. Very disappointed.
Nice product but really poor service
I purchased two vinyl chairs to be delivered to an office building in Melbourne. About a week later I received a message from Australia Post requiring me to go to a depot in Port Melbourne to pick the chairs up. When I asked Temple & Webster why the chairs weren't delivered as agreed, their response was that their delivery providers don't carry items up more than two flights of stairs. When I pointed out that my commercial building had elevators and there was no need for those delivering to carry the items up stairs, the Temple & Webster rep...resentative told me that this was not their issue and that I needed to take it up with Australia Post. Tired of arguing about the delivery I drove to the depot to pick up the chairs. When I tried to assemble them, the screws provided to secure the swivel-plate to the chair legs were not long enough. Because of this defect the chairs were rickety and uncomfortable to sit in. I lodged a complaint on their website asking for a refund and have not heard anything since. Eventually I went to a hardware store and purchased screws long enough to secure the chairs. They're now in working order. The sad thing is that I like the chairs. They look great and are comfortable now, but I don't think I'll buy from this company again. Bottom line - if you're willing to pick up products that should have been delivered in the first place, purchase spare parts from a hardware store and fix the items yourself, then you should be ok...
sending wrong product. Terrible customer service
It was easy to find product that I wanted. I was satisfied with the range of products available
My issue is that I had ordered 2 rugs which was verified by Temple and Webster . delivery was speedy
the order was split into 2 separate items . The speed of delivery was great. as we live in Tasmania.
When the rugs arrived they were the wrong design rugs not the ones i had ordered and paid for. the size of the rugs were right. I sent emails and used the correct site under my order to inform of wrong delivery the only response was we will need t...
Terrible service and lacklustre product
The product was sub par, not great quality but my biggest frustration comes from the lack of communication and the terrible customer service.
Its impossible to get a hold of people and their phone number is never answered.
Lead times on products are incorrect, and they are selling product online for immediate dispatch that they dont have.
Really unhappy about paying $150 for products that are essentially faulty, I have expressed this to your customer service team and the T&W solution it appears is to ignore the customer until they go away.
Won't be ordering from here again.
False advertising on website
Bought a quilt cover loved it went to purchase another one different colour refined search for grey found the one I wanted, was delivered but was green. Called up and was told no returns. Problem is I have the green one already.$200+ wasted money. Therefore won't be buying from them again.
Coverlet size incorrect
Bought a King sized coverlet for a queen bed because I wanted it to reach the floor or close to it, but it ended up being very short (like a queen size or smaller). The photo is totally deceiving.
Karloff Tier bookshelf. Legs rusty, one metal flange bent out of shape on arrival and only 3 of 4 holes on each shelf aligned with the steel frame.
Everything is great.... unless there is a problem!

Purchase 1 - great! no problem
Purchase 2 - wasn't despatched or delivered in the timeframe as per the website. very hard to get a reply when following up.
Purchase 3 - The item doesn't match the description and this has become a nightmare. 16 days of following them up and they have contacted me back twice. Once to ask for pictures and a second time to ask for another picture in a different light'. then........ *crickets*
The comment seems to be "we are really busy at the moment".
So if you want to gamble and hope you don't have issues, and also have the time to progress your problems with fair trading (as I have to), I highly recommend this company
Terrible customer service
I ordered an Olsen Scandinavian Style Curved 1 Drawer Bedside Table on 5 October 2020. Got an email on 14 Oct advising shipment had been delayed until 28 October 2020. Ok, fine. Got another email on 28 October 2020 advising shipment had been delayed until 5 November 2020. Annoying, but ok these things happen. Got another email on 6 November 2020 advising shipment had been delayed until 11 November 2020. Ended up cancelling my order, as I am not interested in being strung along anymore when they appear to be selling things they do not have in stock. A terrible experience and I would not shop here again.

I’ve been quoted over $700 to transport 2 sofas to my location. I’ve asked if I might pick them up myself but have been told this is not possible, that option is no longer available. And so, it seems that I will have to shop elsewhere. Do you have any improvements on this scenario?
