Horrible experience and the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.
I purchased shoes for my daughter which were too small. They didn’t have any shoes in her size and told me they have an exchange only policy. The four styles they had my daughter would settle on were not available in her size because they didn’t have them in stock. Their inventory was depleted. They told me that I should exchange them for clothes. When I asked for the managers email or contact info the manager told me he couldn’t give it to me. I lost $90 and now have a pair of shoes which are of no use to me or my daughter. This is in Chicago Ridge Mall.
Athletes Foot does not honor their return policy
Return policy is a sham and I am lodging a complaint with Fair Trading.
Bought a pair of Hoka trail shoes. Too small so returned unworn and in the original undamaged box. They refused the return saying the shoes were not in a saleable condition. They were new, unworn and in the original packaging so this is a mystery. Seems like this is a common event with The Athletes Foot.
I would not recommend shopping at Athletes Foot as they are dishonest and do not honor the returns policy.
Saucony Omni not authentic
My Omni 19 have arrived, but I don't believe they are authentic. I have had Saucony Omni for the past 9 years and this pair don't support my feet like all the previous pairs I have owned. I purchased these shoes from this site because the shoes pictured where the same as the Saucony website, but my shoes are not the same, there are slight modifications to the design of the shoe, which also makes me believe these are not authentic. Not happy with my purchase at all, and wont be purchasing my Saucony Omni's from this web site again.

Still no refund after over 2 weeks
Returned my shoes as they were too small over 2 weeks ago and still have not received my refund and cannot get a hold of anyone. Also, I tried to write a negative product review as they were poor quality and apparently it did not meet the review criteria so couldn’t be published.

Fitted with wrong size shoes
Fitted with wrong size shoes for work. Unfortunately kept the shoes for a month before starting to wear and now the are putting pressure on my toes and my feet hurt. Checked with store but they can’t offer a change of size because I am out of the date range. Terrible experience as I used to love these shoes for work. Wish I had not followed the guide of specialist fitters and gone with my own instinct. Not a happy customer

one debacle after another
The young man who served me originally was lovely however, I had trouble with my shoes. I believed the 30 day money back guarantee was real. NO My 2nd toe is longer than my big toe, that they measure from. I found my biggest foot 2nd toe was hitting an end and damaging the nail. Ssssooo here begins the debacle. I rang within the 30 days, silly me, it was the end of the holidays and 'they were busy', well that was the excuse the customer complaint person gave me when I complained they hung up on me 4 times in a row after leaving the phone ring f...
Read moreor awhile they picked it up and hung it up. The customer complains person seemed to think this explained their actions????? So, I sent another complaint and requested that they note I had tried to contact within the 30 day limit as I had problems with the shoes. It's too draining to detail all of my terrible adventures suffice to say it was terrible..............so to today when I went to another store to try and sort out my problem.........once again the experience was not good and to go into too much detail is too draining. Suffice to say my problem was not fixed. I was told I had worn my shoes so no return (how does one find any issues within the 30 days without wearing them???) and when I asked to speak with the managers' manager I was told many times there was no one he was the top. After explaining that everyone has a more senior person he finally said well yes but it's no use ringing him because he will agree with me...........there you go. One last try I have placed another complaint. Not dealing with this company again. I question the validity of their 'foot analysis' or rather my interpretation is it is a gimmick.- 15 reviews

Sold a lemon twice.
For many years I purchased ASIC's from Athelites Foot with predictable good results. A few years ago a got a new pair but at I used them it became clear that the fit was wrong, my new expensive shoes were to small, however I was able to use them for the gym. Putting this down to a one of error, I went back to the same store, told them what had happened and they I wanted to buy a new pair. So once again the put me on the walking machine and measured my feet ect. This time they recommend a few different shoes including a Brooks which I decided to...
Read more take Ghost 10. I finally used them on a simple flat 2 hour walk last night. Fit was great but 0 support, by the end of the walk my back, legs and feet were in agony. The Brooks are going in the bin this morning. Never have I had a pair of shoes do this to me and I don't know how the hell a professional sports store could recommend them. Athletes Foot I am done. You need to do way better than this.- 2 reviews

So disappointed in both product and service
I’ve been a loyal customer of The Athletes Foot for over 10 years. I have back, ankle & foot issues so I have relied on good footwear because of this.
I have been so disappointed with my recent experience.
Due to Covid we can’t shop in person, and my last pair of Brooks developed holes in the mesh. I ordered a new pair online, but when I tried them out they were giving me pain across my foot so I asked if I could return them. One week, 6 photos and 16 emails later they agreed to a return.
I took the shoes to Australia Post where I was ass...
Read moreured the box could be taped and returned. Another week later I received an email that my return was denied because of the tape! Apparently there’s fine print on their website that says this, but it wasn’t mentioned anywhere in my emails. You can see the final email below with no mention of the box which is apparently worth about $200. I have exchanged another 8 emails with customer service begging for help with no luck. I strongly recommend against online shopping with this company. They just don’t care.- 6 reviews

The very best customer service
Today I experienced the very best customer service at The Athlete’s Foot shop at St Ives, Sydney. I had purchased a pair of running shoes from them a few weeks back but on wearing them a couple of times found them to be a size too big. I returned to the shop and without any fuss, the shoes were replaced with a pair a size smaller. The new shoes feel so good and I am so happy and appreciate and thank them so much.

Sole shocker - Nike Pegasus 35
Not worth the money. as a long time Pegasus buyer the 35's were a disappointment. Narrow fit and sole not up to general wear expectation wearing through completely to the foam in 4 months.
Athletes foot not sympathetic to my request for replacement.

Awful Experience!
I placed an order on January 12 & received it on January 15. I was unable to fit the shoes and immediately contacted customer service to request an exchange. I was told they are unable to exchange them or take them back at a store. Therefore, I was required to return the shoes and to pay for another pair. They stated that once received, I would the first pair, I would receive a refund. The catch was that they deduct $8.00 from the amount I paid for restocking. I had already paid $7.44 for shipping. Well I returned the shoes the same day via UPS...
Read more and received a confirmation indicating they were received them. To date, they are indicating that they did not receive the shoes back despite me providing the tracking number which indicated they were signed for. I have called customer service numerous times and either on hold for an extended period of time or they still claim they dont see that they were received. I have currently been placed on hold for more than 10 minutes and upon callback, I have been holding for 11 minutes. Please do not take yourself through this hassle. This has been very frustrating and something I will NEVER do again!Find out how The Athlete's Foot compares to other Footwear Shops & Brands
