Last review I said the sales staff were dreadful, at Camberwell athletes foot. Today it couldn’t have been more different, we had a young man called Lachlan, he was knowledgeable, honest, helpful and we left with a great pair of runners. Thanks Lachlan, you’ve restored my faith in Athletes foot!
Worst customer experience, never received my order.
Ordered a pair of Brooks GTS21 on the 30th September, still waiting for them to be delivered a distance of 40km, 25 days later, tracking said parcel went to first depo and then simply vanished, Athletes foot they would investigate, but didnt, then when contacted again said they would investigate again and so far have not, at every step they have failed to communicate anything with me, they seem to be unable to contact Startrack themselves as I was able to do it twice.
They do not answer the phone, they do not return emails, their managers do ...not take phone calls or emails and just hide. They said they want to confirm its lost incase they give me a refund and then the shoes get delivered. so its about them, not the customer. Nearly a month later I have no shoes, no refund, and no communication. I have opened a case with NSW Dept Fair Trading and will never shop here again
I ordered my running shoes and got them two days later which is almost a miracle nowadays. Shoes are perfect, no complaints!
Customer Service non existent
I purchased two pairs of oncloud running shoes. Easy enough, good price, good stock etc, perfectly fine re delivery, except when my addressed package arrived what was inside were two pairs of children's shoes and a docket in another persons name. Tried calling a few times that day 1/9 and got cut off after 15 mins waiting time each time. Sent an email and got a bounceback offering 'helpful' suggestions. Tried to call the next day, same issue, though I did reach a human who said they were the wrong department and couldn't redirect my call. The h...old music is designed to make you hang up immediately, it wouldn't be out of place in a captive hostage situation. So I texted the owner of the children's shoes, because all of her info was on the docket - address, phone, email etc. She had also been trying to get in touch. Nothing. On the 3/9 we decided between us we would mail each others shoes to each other and then try and get TAF to reimburse our postage. Both of us received our shoes the next day, QLD to NSW. It is now the 10/9 and after tweeting, emailing, phoning, instagram and facebook messaging, both publicly and in DM all I have had is a generic reply on insta that due to Covid, deliveries and refunds are delayed. Neither of which are in my actual complaint. The live chat function on the website is useless, it just spits out 'suggestions' and then asks if they were helpful. A few days after my delivery we got a 'feedback' email from TAF. They got some feedback alright, but no reply. I tried emailing one more time yesterday, but got an undelivered message as their mail box is full... full of complaints I would imagine. What on earth is going on? I can only imagine the irritation if the shoes I did buy hadn't fit, or I did need a refund. At the moment I am out of pocket some $25 odd for postage, but a small price to pay for some poor mother to get her kids school shoes. I get it, its a pandemic, but everything is online, to not even reply, or respond to any of those queries across all platforms beggars belief. Hopeless. Never again.
Very poor service, mislead, management not interested
Being in lockdown in Victoria had to buy a pair of runners online which were very expensive with The Athletes Foot, paid and organised click and collect. Hours later told that they didn't have my size even though their website confirmed they did.
Now getting the runaround (not even their Head Office is interested to sort this out). Unacceptable service!!
Good pensioner service!
Went along to the Athletes Foot here in Hobart TAS to buy a pair of sneakers. I am in my seventies and need a correct fitting pair of sneakers as I go in Parkruns. I use to buy sneakers at Kmart but this time I wanted properly fitted sneakers so thought I would go along to the Athletes Foot to use their equipment to get a correct fitting. The shop is very nicely set out and being elderly was a little intimidated as it looked like it is geared for a much younger clientele.
A young lady by the name of Hannah served me and was very professional...and spent time explaining various sneakers. Hannah asked me to use their MyFit 3D system so that she could make sure I received a correct fitting. After trying several pairs I made a selection and bought a pair of Brooks Ghost 14 sneakers. An unexpected bonus was a pensioner discount. Thank you Hannah for your patience and professional service.
Completely unsatisfied with service I got.
Came on here to voice my complaint but when I saw how many unhappy customers I realized it was a of time.
Fabulous customer service

Online experience is terrible
Was looking for a pair of Clarks shoes for my son in a specific size and noted their click and collect wouldn't bring up a store anywhere in Victoria. Jumped onto the chat and she explained the function only looked at stores with that exact size and if I wanted a specific size I'd have to pay freight. So the next question was " can I pop into my nearest store and order that specific size shoe?" Her answer was "no, you have to order online" Really!! Clearly she had no idea about retailing, no wonder people are just using the store to get the sizing and then shop online for the best price. Very poor indeed and immediately bought online elsewhere.
I visited The Athletes store at North Lakes Qld today and took a pair of shoes to the counter to purchase .The price marked on the shoes was $239.95 . When at the counter the rude guy at the counter said that the shoes was $249.95 . Not the price marked on the shoes . These people should be informed of the laws governing marked prices in the retail industry . Please dont be caught . Stay away from this store and the very rude people that run it . Buyer beware .
Parramatta store - excellent advice and service
I walk between 15km to 20km a day for work and was experiencing a lot of pain in my feet. The friendly sales person listened when I explained I needed the shoes for work. She then took me through the fitting process where they analyze your requirements. I was then given 4 different types of shoes to try and I ended up selecting Brooks Adrenaline 21 for $240 and I also purchased the inner-soles for $30 (I need the extra cushioning as I am older). I used AfterPay which I love. It is now 3 weeks later and my feet are noticeably better. Previously,...when I would wake of a morning I would walk around the house as if I was hobbled. Now the bone pain has diminished. Great shoes and the fitting process was definitely spot on. I found the service provided polite and friendly and would definitely recommend the store and Brooks as a shoe.
Walked in..there was 2 staff who were busy so we waited. No greeting from staff, no acknowledgement and I was just standing around waiting for help. I work in customer service. This isn't it. 2 staff members with 3 customers and they had no time for me. Never again I walked out.
Excellent training of the shoe product.
I want around shopping my daughter's school shoes and I came upon Athlete foot in Broadway. I have to say their service is fantastic and they know their products extremely well. My daughter have special needs on her school shoes. She requires shoes that can fits in her orthotics and the assistant store manager Kurt was extremely helpful and know his product so well that this is the first time I see my daughter walk with the shoes without twisting her ankle. I highly recommend this shop if you want a proper fitting. The quality is good and so is the service 10 out of 10. Ask for the assistant shop manager Kurt and he will give you very good feedback for any shoe you purchased.
Poor service and attitude
I entered the store and stated what I was looking for, however, I was informed there was no way they could recommend any shoe without doing the gait analysis etc. I appreciated how important that was to the right shoe however I was able to explain some of my needs having done a previous analysis at a different but similar store. They should have been able to say 'these shoes are XXX, or these shoes are not". I decided to leave and go elsewhere.
Great service at Epping Plaza store
I decided that I needed new runners and Epping Plaza was the closest store to where we were. As we entered we were greeted by both team members and a young man named Gentil came over to help me. He was helpful and polite. The shoes I wanted didn’t come in my size so he suggested other brands that might work. He found the perfect shoe and I left satisfied with my purchase. Great customer service. Well done

Hi my name Kathy I buy Ascent Avara Womens blank shoes all the time can you tell me why I never get a discount or the shoes are never on sale
If the shoes I buy in store for my husband don't fit, can they be refunded at any of your stores. Our local store doesn't stock what I want to buy.
I brought a pair of shoes at the store, that were on sale. Once i tried them both on at home i realized one fit better than the other. Bc they were on sale i could obly exchange and ended up getting a pair and paying the difference but these dont fit well either.. Is it possible to take the new ones back for a full refund?
The reason for your problem is because one foot maybe bigger than the other, your bigger foot should have a finger nail room between your longest toe & the shoe . otherwise you will have sore feet by the end of an activity.
