on line customer service
I purchased 3 pairs of sandals on line. They arrived very quickly. Only one pair suited me. This pair unfortunately arrived with a very noticeable dark discolouration on one strap. I returned them to a retail store who gladly returned the two unwanted pairs but were unable to help with a partial refund on the faulty pair. I could return them as no replacement stock was available. As I was happy with the pair of sandals but not happy to pay full price I embarked on an attempt to communicate with customer service. After being on the phone for 16 ...
Read moreminutes on two separate days an automated message advised me to use email or live chat. Tried these lines of communication but kept receiving a generic reply by email re returns and never addressing my question. My conclusion is there are no customer service people at all but a computer responsding to trigger words in the emails. The telephone number they provide is a sham. Customer service is only a token service. From now on I will shop in store only. Very dissapointing!!!!!!!- 10 reviews

The Worst
I visited The Athletes store at North Lakes Qld today and took a pair of shoes to the counter to purchase .The price marked on the shoes was $239.95 . When at the counter the rude guy at the counter said that the shoes was $249.95 . Not the price marked on the shoes . These people should be informed of the laws governing marked prices in the retail industry . Please dont be caught . Stay away from this store and the very rude people that run it . Buyer beware .
Unhelpful Staff
The smallest selection of shoes out of all the stores I’ve been to. There was a shoe that my sis wanted but they didn’t have the size so we asked them if they could order or check from other stores in different areas, they went to the desk and talked with each other for a long time before saying they could do neither. When we asked more about the shoe structure they replied 'why do you need that particular shoe.' The staff clearly didn’t want to help us and wasted our time.

Sold a lemon twice.
For many years I purchased ASIC's from Athelites Foot with predictable good results. A few years ago a got a new pair but at I used them it became clear that the fit was wrong, my new expensive shoes were to small, however I was able to use them for the gym. Putting this down to a one of error, I went back to the same store, told them what had happened and they I wanted to buy a new pair. So once again the put me on the walking machine and measured my feet ect. This time they recommend a few different shoes including a Brooks which I decided to...
Read more take Ghost 10. I finally used them on a simple flat 2 hour walk last night. Fit was great but 0 support, by the end of the walk my back, legs and feet were in agony. The Brooks are going in the bin this morning. Never have I had a pair of shoes do this to me and I don't know how the hell a professional sports store could recommend them. Athletes Foot I am done. You need to do way better than this.Find out how The Athlete's Foot compares to other Footwear Shops & Brands

Crippled- so called shoes nurses wear for long hours on feet.
Went in to get a good leather shoe for long hours on my feet. Was sold what I was told nurses bought. Kept asking sales girl if there were any other options and she said they were the best($179 later, worst sho I have ever bought) I have persevered for weeks with my feet feeling more and more crippled by the end of my shift. I have to do them up so tight so they don’t slip off my head. They seem to be a bad design which is very low at the back and very hard with no cushioning. Will think very hard about shopping here again after I have had many good experiences here. This was the worst.

Defective Products Not Fit for Purpose
I had had multiple bad experiences with Athletes Foot. 2 pairs of expensive shoes wore out in the uppers very quickly. One they replaced very reluctantly under warranty. One was out of warranty. A 3rd purchase had a manufacturing defect with big lumps in the moulded sole. Again they reluctantly replaced under warranty. The replacement pair is supposedly a running shoe but the sole is a soft material that has worn significantly after a short distance of walking. Every purchase has given a problem!

Brilliant Service at Shepparton.
I was more than impressed with the young assistant who served me today. Brandi (from the Shepparton store). Not only was she patient and helpful but most professional and friendly.
