Poor descriptions on website led to wrong size

published

I purchased shoes for my wife which turned out to be extra wide

How would I know this? Well there is a letter (D) next to the description on the website. How on earth would anyone know this means WIDE?

How about something like "WIDE FIT" as a description?

Now they are telling me that there is a 4 WEEK turn around on exchanges.

Go buy online…

published

Twice recently I have been to Athletes Foot and twice I have been sent away with a note telling me I can buy the shoes I want online. It seems they have basic shoes, sizes and colours in store but if you want it in another colour or something you can’t see in store they write a note for you, send you away and tell you you can buy it online. Well, no, I’m over it. I want to go into a shop and see and try the product there and then and buy it. Is this too much to ask from a retail store??? I give up. I’m going elsewhere.

Poor service and attitude

published

I entered the store and stated what I was looking for, however, I was informed there was no way they could recommend any shoe without doing the gait analysis etc. I appreciated how important that was to the right shoe however I was able to explain some of my needs having done a previous analysis at a different but similar store. They should have been able to say 'these shoes are XXX, or these shoes are not". I decided to leave and go elsewhere.

Crippled- so called shoes nurses wear for long hours on feet.

published

Went in to get a good leather shoe for long hours on my feet. Was sold what I was told nurses bought. Kept asking sales girl if there were any other options and she said they were the best($179 later, worst sho I have ever bought) I have persevered for weeks with my feet feeling more and more crippled by the end of my shift. I have to do them up so tight so they don’t slip off my head. They seem to be a bad design which is very low at the back and very hard with no cushioning. Will think very hard about shopping here again after I have had many good experiences here. This was the worst.

Defective Products Not Fit for Purpose

published

I had had multiple bad experiences with Athletes Foot. 2 pairs of expensive shoes wore out in the uppers very quickly. One they replaced very reluctantly under warranty. One was out of warranty. A 3rd purchase had a manufacturing defect with big lumps in the moulded sole. Again they reluctantly replaced under warranty. The replacement pair is supposedly a running shoe but the sole is a soft material that has worn significantly after a short distance of walking. Every purchase has given a problem!

Disappointing customer service

published

Bought trainers for my son $260 wanting to be loyal for having him fitter in store. Only to find the same shoe literally 2 doors up for $60 less (REBEL). Went straight back and asked if they could do something as a gesture if they cannot price match but they said no. And then they wonder why stores are going bust. VERY disappointing they couldnt do any gesture as good customer service management would

Excellent shoes

published

Brought 2 shoes via Afterpay in store at northland

The only negative thing I can really say is I made attempts to purchase shoes closer to home since I needed work boots and runners

Julian was excellent

Store however was understaffed for a Saturday.

Had multiple people waiting and the staff had to get creative with serving 2 people at once

I normally don’t do reviews but the effort from the understaffed team did great

Pretty good

published

Always buy my work shoes from athletes foot, expensive but very comfortable and always get about 2 years out of them, work lOmg hours on feet all day.
Recently just brought my new pair from athletes foot @ Loganholme, excellent service from Rachel, who really made sure I had the right fit, had to be ordered in, all went smoothly, highly recommend her service at that store.

What has happened to Athlete's Foot?

published

Went into the store at Park Beach Plaza to buy two lots of children's runners. For a start the sales team were far too busy having a conversation amongst themselves to pay me any mind. The whole experience was a let-down. I had to prompt the sales person for everything, for example, "Sorry but we dont have those in that size...."....silence.....
I had to say, "Er, well do you have a similar shoe"?.
The entire transaction went like that. I got the impression they wanted me to leave so they could carry on their conversation.

I brought a pair of shoes at the store, that were on sale. Once i tried them both on at home i realized one fit better than the other. Bc they were on sale i could obly exchange and ended up getting a pair and paying the difference but these dont fit well either.. Is it possible to take the new ones back for a full refund?

The reason for your problem is because one foot maybe bigger than the other, your bigger foot should have a finger nail room between your longest toe & the shoe . otherwise you will have sore feet by the end of an activity.
