Don't use this Company
Please take some advise from someone who used this company to move our furniture. They arrived but body language said they didn't want to be there, then they started dragging furniture around scratching the floors but they didn't care cause it wasn't their place. When they arrived at the new property & started to bring stuff in then dented our Fridge, didn't put the travel plugs in our washing machine & worst of all the cracked our LED TV & then basically said TOUGH even though their ads say they have insurance they will not cover anything tha...
Read moret is damaged in transit. After contacting the company the owner basically said well how do I know it was working before hand, so if you chose to use this company then make sure you take photos of every item working with them standing next it so you can prove when they break it that is was working. This company are very heartless & there is certainly no care of compass with your items or the property that they move. This is the first time we have had to use a moving company to move us & it has been one of the worst experiences we have had. WON'T RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY EVER THEY ARE REAL COWBOYS.. If I was was so rude and abrupt why would I offer the guys drinks at both places and lollies to eat as I could not offer them any other food due to moving. Our tv was working perfectly well before the...
Read more move, it had not been in the fire it was brand new when we moved back in here, but as I stated previously, obviously you need to take a photo showing it working with the removalist standing next to it to prove working order. Nothing that your team broke was broken beforehand and I never hid or expected you to repair the previous dents to the fridge. I used your company because of a recommendation but can assure you that person is now thinking twice about using or recommending your company again. I really do take offence at the way in which we have been treated and the things that you have said about me. When you visited the previous home you dismissed the damage the the floor which showed me that this was never going to be taken seriously. This whole experience has left us extremely disappointed and upset. I am entitled to my opinion which is from my experience with your company & the way in which we have been treated both during & after the move..Gordon C.The Moving Man
No visible scratches could be seen on any floors and your attempts to make highly suspect insurance claims for alleged damages to other goods was unsuccessful. Hence your unsubstantiated remarks and c...

Nice people but cost us $thousands
We booked The Moving Man to move all our large/heavy belongings to our brand new home. Very friendly and helpful crew whose task was made more challenging when, on arrival at the new address, discovered that the road was being resurfaced! Sadly, our total experience cost us tens of thousands of dollars (fortunately covered by insurance). One of the guys connected up the washing machine incorrectly and fed the waste hose into the void in the laundry cupboard. After coming home from the shops the next morning, we discovered the entire ground floo...
Read morer flooded. This has meant the whole wood floor needs replacing. The kitchen and laundry cupboards need replacing and some gyprock walls need replacing. This is in a house ONE day old! You can imagine how upset we are. Please, do not let unqualified removalists do any plumbing - no matter how simple it appears to be. Apart from that experience, after settling in, over the next few days, we did discover some paint damage to a doorway and damage to a display cabinet. So, in conclusion, would I use this company again? I think not.4 comments

Ok, we finally got to the bottom of this unfortunate occurrence. As is often our normal practice when delivering washing machines, we connect the hoses to the taps and the drain hose to the drain outl...
Read moreet on top of the sink. We do this as a courtesy. Unbeknown to our crew at the time, was that the plumbing on the inside of the cabinet was not connected to the bottom of the outlet, thus, the first time the machine was used, waste water entered the cabinet instead of going out the drain. This is the first time in 32 years of operation that we have ever come across this situation. A lesson well learned for us all and our most humble apologies to our valued client. On the matter of the slight incidental damage to a door frame and scratch on a cabinet, as stated earlier in our clients review, the road outside was being re bituminised and was restricting our access to unload. To assist us, the contractor offered a 40 minute window where our crew would need to get into position and unload very quickly. The crew were going hard as quickly as possible to get the load off on time. In their haste, they caught the door frame to the room at the top of the stairs which caused a minor scratch to the frame and a chip in the bottom of the cabinet. While we always try our very best, being human, sometimes the odd incident can occur. We and our crew apologise unreservedly for the inconvenience caused which of course was totally unintentional. We assure all our clients that we aim to make each relocation as stress free as possible, however, we failed on this occasion.Gordon C.The Moving Man
The heading of your review is somewhat misleading, as the whole event was covered by insurance and did not in fact cost you thousands. A more realistic comment based on fact would be more helpful for those that read these reviews.
Happy to change it to Nice people but caused thousands of dollars damage. I believe it’s irrelevant who paid. The damage still occurred. And we are out of pocket because we still have to pay $500 excess.

Awful
They were late, rude and disappeared halfway through for a "cold drink".. fine when you're not paying by the hour but otherwise not cool.
That's not the extent of the bad experience but I think it's enough, would not recommend to anyone.

A little disappointed with your cutting comments Kristen, as we discussed a number of concerns you had and thought these had been resolved for you as you indicated. The truck GPS showed the truck arri...
Read moreving on time, however it took some time to get the truck into position at your apartment as the whole complex is quite a rabbit warren to get into. The crew stopped at a shop while driving to your drop off to buy extra water as it was a very hot day. The crew deducted 10 mins from the time. They were aware also that the whole move was a very emotional experience for you and tried to lighten the situation with a little humour which you took exception to. We apologise for any undue stress this may have caused and wish you well in the future.I'm pretty surprised to get a response from you 4 years later... it's easy now to respond as though I exaggerated the entire thing but that isn't true.
In fact, at the time when I complained directly...

Hi
A lot of reviews are from first time reviewers who have no other review history. Can reviews be sorted by seniority of reviewers?

Hi Alex. The reviews are from people of all age groups.Im not aware of any way that Product Review would be able to list in order of seniority. All clients wishing to post a review have to provide a tax Invoice receipt from us to verify the authenticity of their having used our service.

I have moved into a two story apartment and am looking for furniture movers who can lift large items (sofas, mattresses) up over 1st floor balcony, as the stair well is to small and twisted to get these items up to the main living area.

Thank you Donna, we will happily accept a negative review rather than be coerced into a dubious insurance claim for alleged damages. We are totally up front both verbally and in our written confirmati...
Read moreon emails regarding Terms and conditions and insurances. You are correct, when our crew arrived there was an atmosphere of not wanting to be there, however, it did not emanate from them. Your attitude was rude and abrupt with them from the get go. As far as damage claims go, the fridge already had several small dents on it and strategically placed fridge magnets obviously hid the larger one. Your TV was delivered in the same condition it was picked in, without a make on it and suddenly it does not work? Perhaps the recent house fire you were involved in had some affect on that. I personally visited both homes with you. There were absolutely no visible scratches on any floors at all at the pick up property and very minor chips to the door frame at the drop off due to the tricky access with some larger items. This has since been rectified. The loose chair leg was exactly that and i repaired all legs as i found them to have obvious signs of old damage but simply did that as a courtesy for you.. In your statement you have deliberately misrepresented our Insurance policy which is quite clearly stated in our confirmation details. As can be viewed in this medium, the great majority of clients are more than happy with the work we do and we stand by our reputation as offering a good job at a fair price. If we were are at fault through negligence or unprofessional work we are happy to make good on any problems but will not tolerate false claims when we know most of them are highly suspect.
