I’ve given this sometime and some thought before I wrote a review. But I’m still quite upset how this company handled my situation.
I first used this company to check my computer as it was running extremely slow. The tech Paul came in and had a look said that I’d need to upgrade the harddrive to a solid state drive, fine that’s all good. As I use my computer for work he asked when I needed it back and if I work on the weekend as he could probably get it back by Sunday. I said no don’t worry bring it back latest Tuesday. Stole laptop and won’t return calls
My daughters laptop was picked up weeks ago. Was told it would be ready by the weekend ( 3 days)... it’s been over two weeks. I rang up friday and they said it would be delivered to me by 11am Saturday.
Saturday came and by 3pm I gave them a call to find out where my laptop it. The man said he would get someone from the company to call me. I said “ if your not from the company then who are you?”. (Looks like the pc doctors just outsource someone to do the job for them). So who knows where my laptop is now.
They have stolen my laptop and I have no option to now go to police to report theft.
Issue not fixed still paid money

I call the PC Doctor for a quotation. I told them I have purchased a genuine keypad for my computer and wanted a quote to fit it. They responded by telling me that they have to order the parts for the computer and can not install my genuine part. Which is ridicules and outright poor service.
They say they are experienced technicians, if so why can't they quote a fixed price for such a simple repair.
Contact person was impatient and aggressive
The person called kathy sounded really impatient and aggressive when calling while I was so patient to look for details she need, and it was quick. Did not contact within 30 minutes either and just not worth my time to contact with.
Important to understand what a customer needs - greed is not good.
I inquired about some help to restore some old laptops. I was followed up by a Kathy repeatedly and she was very persistent in calling me. When I finally got to speak to her, she asked me what was wrong with the laptop and I tried telling her what I could but shr didn't really understand the issues I had with it. She just immediately wanted to discuss hourly rates and book in somebody to fix it - was very aggressive to the point of wanting to negotiate on hourly rates.
Whilst finding a solution isn't a problem, if she really understood what I was looking for, she would have known that restoring laptops is a time consuming activity and I was looking for a service that was affordable, bespoke, and was not forced on me.
AVOID at all costs if you value your money!
Please DO NOT use this company if you value your money and don't want to be ripped off! "No Fix No Fee" is a straight out lie and you will be charged an arm and a leg for repairs!
My Sony Vaio Pro Ultrabook needed to be diagnosed and repaired due to the LCD screen no longer working so I thought I'd give this company a go. After an $85 callout fee (fair enough) the technician came to my house and told me the display cable or LCD may need replacing which I already knew. He was unable to do the repair and told me it would have to be sent to the h...ead office for 'assessment'. After spending a further $99 dollars for the technician to do the assessment I was told that the motherboard needed replacing due to a 'power issue' and that it would be $475 to fix. Absolute rubbish... I'm not an idiot when it comes to computers and knew this didn't sound right at all. I cancelled the job and had to pay a further $35 for them to post it back to me. At this point I've spent $219 and my laptop is still broken; after receiving the laptop in the post the keyboard no longer worked as well - so my computer was in worse condition than what it was prior to giving it to them! Dishonest, incompetent and careless technicians - Please avoid this company. I ended up taking my laptop to an independent, reputable computer shop - within two hours and only $30 the keyboard was fixed and was told a new LCD would be $250. I have no do doubt in my mind this company preys on people who are clueless about computers and don't know any better.
Misleading with pricing
Probably don’t use this company if you’re wanting affordable repairs. I was charged about 3 x more than what was expected. The service was good, but not for the price.
They kinda refuse to help!I was trying to communicate with them 4 days!Finally i found another tecnician!They said to me that they will call. me.They never do.I call them alla the time and the answer was ok thanks we will call you.4 DAYS? REALLY? thats for wasting my time!lol
Fixed the problem but did not stick to quotes/estimates
I asked for an estimate for a straightforward job on the phone and was told job would take half an hour and they work on site (They charge in time slots). However, when the technician arrived he said it would take 3-4 hours to back up my files (without checking what I had) and didn't want to spend the time then (despite no new problem or complication with the issue) While I am not a tech expert, I do know how long it takes me to do backup as I have no large files/videos. He offered to charge a flat (more expensive than original quote) fee to ta...ke my computer off premises and have it overnight to do the job. So, I was either up for a fortune or had to pay the callout fee for no service. In house service was one factor I considered in choosing this company. Also, the original half hour quote matches what another IT company told me for the same job. Added to this, he then charged $5 more than the revised quote when he returned my computer. When I complained I was offered a partial refund. About six weeks later that hasn't come through. Large national company means, despite their numerous contact emails and attempts at customer service, it is difficult to discuss an issue when booking. They sent standard responses to my emails, except the complaint.

Them when I pushed for email quote, one price jumped from $400 to $700 for same part.
Just wonder what happens when they have your unit then what money?.
Needed assistance with iTunes movie library
From the first point of contact which was ok, it just got worse. They could not come to the house and explained a remote appointment would be needed. I was not thrilled with this, however have worked in corporate for over 30 years and used to using team view and other applications.
I than spoke with the actual technician and I knew more about the issues then he did. Not happy, so cancelled the appointment and returned to Geeks2U who I have been using for a long time, outcome all fixed. The technician called and we discussed the problems. They could come to the house, which was my preference p.
NO SHOW NO APOLOGY
Called company early in week for appointment on Friday evening (8th Nov.). Advised Technician will call Wednesday or Thursday to discuss job. Since not hearing from Technician, called PC Doctor on Thursday to reconfirm appointment for Friday.
On late Friday afternoon (around 4pm), Helpdesk called to say Technician (Michael) unable to attend due to an emergency and needed to rebook to Sunday morning (10th Nov). No show on Sunday. Telephoned helpdesk who said they are an answering service only and Technician will call within the hour. After 3 ...hours still no show or call from Technician. Called helpdesk again, who advised I will receive a call tomorrow (12th Nov.). Next day still no show or call. Telephoned Head Office @ 4pm to lodge a complaint. Told by helpdesk that Technician had tried to call me. Said that my phone call register showed one missed call which I returned (after several attempts) to their helpdesk. The helpdesk was not apologetic at all and made no attempt to rectify the customer service experience. Things can go wrong and a test of a good service provider is to have backup procedures in place. Fortunately, there are many same day providers to choose from.
Warning!! A very dodgy company
The policy called “no fix no charge” turned out to be a trap. They will charge you regardless( minimum 120 bucks).
My speaker was making clicking sound. After finding out my computer had a hardware fault, the technician made a diagnosis of water spillage without opening the computer. He suggested to upgrade the system or reset it. I said no, which means denying the solution offered. So they can charge you.
After I made a complaint, i was told that “you could be double charged for one problem, if the computer cannot be fixed the first time!!”
Do Not Use This Company
Initially they fixed my laptop only for it to break down two weeks later. They offered to repair it again which took over a month only for it to break down again two weeks later all the while not detailing me with an invoice or any information regarding what was wrong. Upon offering a third time they took the 99 dollar service fee for a technician to come pick it up and spent it on a courier service with terrible reviews that I couldn't contact instead which I quoted to about half of what I paid, all the while blaming it on my poor miscommunication. Extremely incompetent and unprofessional do not use this service.

Is there a restriction on reviews? I submitted an adverse review for a job done by The Original PC Doctor, following on from that review TOPCD attended and rectified My concerns. Subsequently I submitted a follow up review that has disappeared. Have tried retrievals etc. ?? Had tried to amend original review but couldn,t.
