After Frustrated comes Satisfaction
Due to the company's takeover and growth I was left with a deadline and the advertised contact means were not functioning. Eventually I made contact and a solution was found.
I anticipate their communication problems going away but want to make it clear that their photobooks are EXCELLENT and I will continue using them .
Quality is not up to scratch. Customer service is pathetic.
I have used several on-line photo developers. This mob are by far the worst. The process of putting together an order involves far too many hoops to jump through and the software is full of glitches. The customer service, if you could call it that, is woeful. If you have a problem, the attitude seems to be "too bad but we've already got your money". Use a local service, or if you have to take your chances on-line, there are much better options out there. Avoid.
Not delivering as promised
If there is a negative rating, I would put negative on this.
My voucher extension was not honoured. I have tried to contact them many times, but I was ignored. I am thoroughly disappointed with them. Even after showing their own email to say that the voucher should still be valid on the day that I was going to use it, they ignored it.They do not care about their customer!!!
All those amount of work I put in to have my photobook printed on the voucher I bought, and the extension that they granted me - useless!!! A waste of time, a waste of my money.
They said they will look into it, it's almost 3 weeks now, not a word from them.
Do not use, will get extra $ from you
I have ordered acrylic paint. I have used the template provided, all I did was to drag the picture onto the template. week after I ordered they emailed me that the photo is not stretched all the way and that they will reprint it if I pay
$50 they also refused to send me the original print.
I bought few coupons at once I also had picture book, book turned up ok but had issues in finalising ordered and uploading files.

This is the worst site/ company I have had to deal with! I bought a voucher from Groupon for a chopping board, that was all fine. Then trying to create an account for thephotobookclub was a nightmare and then the log in into my account would not work, in the meantime I had sent a couple of emails, they did not reply to my issue but they did however send survey requests to see how they dealt with my problem. After calling them I was able to sort it out, designed my chopping board, saved it to finish another day and now they say my login does not exist, tried calling 4 times this morning and each time after 5 minutes wait they hang up on me. Do not use this site!
Choose another company
Not only did they send my order (which was supposed to be a Christmas gift!) as half the photo book repeated twice, but they've never once responded to my complaint regarding the book or their shocking customer service. Avoid, avoid.

I have ordered canvases and photobooks through this company and have been very happy every time. The colours are great. I like the way it will warn you while creating your book if a photo isn't top quality so you can change it if necessary. I haven't had a problem with then yet. I also like how you can extend your voucher if you forget to use it like I did and was upset that I had waisted my money.
I bought a voucher for 3 calendars, I assumed when I ordered as I ordered straight from the deal that 1 meant one voucher or the 3 calendars that I had paid for, BUT no it means one calendar and they just said bad luck you have used your voucher and next time follow the instructions . THERE will not be a next time for me.
Success is in the planning, not making it ad hoc
I am a happy with this production service and am making another book with them. The first time I used them the colour was not good but they replaced the books and the colour was great. I have had a few issues working out how to do things but found the service in Manila friendly and helpful. The software is very basic and not intuitive, but after a few attempts I found that writing the text in MS Word to spell check and editing photos in Photoshop before adding them makes me plan the book to the last detail. Success is in the planning, not makin...g it ad hoc. I showed the photo canvas prints to my boss and she ordered three of them on the spot. Now, I produce the book and then buy the vouchers and don't pay for express post. It niggles me a bit that I have to buy a draft copy because I cannot print from my computer if I am making multiple copies but I understand why this is so (why else would I use them). They make wonderful gifts for people who like to hold a book to look at photos, as digital images don't have the same appeal.
The Photobooks and Calendars turn out beautifully
I have done about 9 calendars and 10 photo books with this Company. I am completely happy with their quality of work and service. Have only had 1 problem sending a large photobook for printing, but once I put it on a disc and sent it to them it was fine. The quality of the items is fantastic. I have never been disappointed with anything they have done for me.
Also puzzled and unhappy...will be furious if not resolved!!
I too can't work out how to order my book. My voucher says. 'Once (your book is) completed, proceed to our order page, enter your Voucher Code and click "redeem".
Couldn't be easier, I thought, except that once I've clicked on order, there is a cart with a price which bears no resemblance to my voucher cost, unless the postage is twice as much as the voucher, AND
nowhere can I find anywhere to enter my voucher code.

I couldn't be more unhappy with the service i haven't received!! I have wasted so many hours thanks to this company. I still haven't even managed to get the books ordered!! If i hadn't spent so much time on this i would throw my vouchers in the bin and use another company but i want my books now iv wasted the time,
I will never recommend this company to anyone , nor will i use it ever again. And as for cudo they should state how difficult it is to actually follow through with your order!! instead they intise you to buy more.
Buy a voucher, use it by the date given. Most vouchers last for six months and yes you do have to pay extra if you want to extend, read the fine print which is quite obvious. Use the auto correct button to try and fix your photos, it does not always work but most time it does. For those complaining about limited backgrounds, add your own it is very easy. I have hundreds added, you can also add Scrapbook items. I have had one printing problem with a six book order, they were replaced immediately after sending a photo in. Any time I have asked a ...question they have answered my query. I have used many companies, I find value for money this one wins hands down. I do not print my photos anymore as I find doing one album per year is much better. I have never had a problem with colour. I order sometimes 12 to 20 items per year. The one thing I do not like is the fact you cannot cover the company name on the front of the calendar, and I did make the mistake of purchasing a 3 calendar voucher when I needed three different ones, my fault. Use an editing program to fix your photos before adding them to the items. I find the ten dollar soft cover book great to give friends and relatives with photos of an event. I love the way you can start a book and then when nearly completed wait for a special and purchase a voucher. I now have quite a few items in production and I know they will arrive before Christmas.
Worst company to deal with, never again!
I have used this company for over a year, mainly because they are cheap, but I have had many issues with them. printing colours are often off, usually too green, but sometimes too blue. Very poor customer service, I bought x3 calendars and didn't realise all 3 had to be purchased at the same time. When I contacted the company via email to say the code isn't working they said I had to pay $ to get another coded issued. Then I said just print the calendar in your system another 2 times to make up my voucher and she said no. They are just so hard ...to deal with. She wouldnt put me through to management and there is no number to call and speak with anyone directly. Once I have used my existing vouchers they have lost me as a customer. I don't recomend! spend a bit more and you will get a better product with better customer service.
I have nothing but good things to say about this company. I have produced and received 5 absolutely beautiful books in different sizes and a puzzle. My 6th book is on its way to being delivered to me within 2 days of me uploading it. Friends who have used other similar services such as snapfish etc have all commented that the quality of the paper used is far better than the other brands. Software is easy to use and purchasing a breeze using the voucher system, not to mention cheaper. During the course of uploading one book I cancelled the ...order mid way (which you should not do) as I had found an error. I therefore voided my order and my voucher. My email to their office had the problem promptly rectified trouble free within 1 business day. This company has made the days of the boring photo albums a thing of the past for me.
Poor Customer Service particularly if there is a problem with their printing
I have used the Photobook club for a number of years and patronized this company well however whilst I find my images come out quite good, their service when there is an issue with their final product is extremely poor. I have recently had 2 books replaced when both arrived damaged on numerous pages, and then one of the replacements which was sent had the bottom half of the title/text on the front cover chopped off making it unreadable - all the other pages had also been printed 1/2 cm lower to the bottom edge. After sending 4 emails and photos...of the problem 3 separate times I am being given the run around ..i.e promised an email about follow up and then I am ignored and so I send another email and are promised there will be a follow up and then I am ignored again and so on its goes!. There must be issues with quality control as this is not the first order that I have had where the delivered books where damaged and its not just photobooks - its been magnets as well. After frustrating customer service and being ignored - there is nothing about this company at this time I would see as a positive. Extremely poor customer service and followup if there is a problem with books
I have bought several vouchers from The Photobook Club and I have not been able to download the books that I had spent weeks making I have had problems downloading books, logging in to use vouchers and list goes on. My latest is acrylic print which I cannot see any options for, I only have options for photobooks and I'm waiting for a reply from support desk, wont hold my breath!

Love my books
I have done several books through them including 2 120 page 30cm x 30cm square books and they are fantastic. It did take me a while to work out the software but that is no different to other photo book companies. I have recommended them to several people who have gone on to use them and loved the result.
Quality of pages, books and photos. Great value if you buy their vouchers.
Excellent value and quality
I've had more than 10 books printed with this company, of all different sizes. The value of their vouchers is excellent, unbeatable. The books always arrive quite quickly and I can track online the progress of the production and delivery. As I enjoy photography and multimedia design, I've found the program used to design the books to be quite flexible and suitable to my needs. The quality of the books has always been good - both the printing and binding. A couple of times I've had trouble uploading using their site, but that's usually because m...any people are simultaneously doing the same thing as me and the server wasn't able to process everyone's. I wrote to them at night using their contact option on their webpage about my problem, they replied the next morning. I used their suggestions, and although it didn't go through the first attempt, it was fine on the second attempt. I've always had good experiences.
Unbelievably bad service and website!!!!
I received a canvas voucher for christmas and have been trying for three weeks to order and have had nothing but one problem after another from not accepting my voucher code, to not allowing me to log in, to making ridiculous requests regarding my voucher (it's just a code to put in shouldn't be that hard) taking ten days to reset a password it goes on and on.....They take ages to answer your emails and then don't answer the question you have asked anyway - very very frustrating - do not use this website!!!!!! I, after a million attempts to get...two simple canvases have decided to forgo my voucher as it has compiled to about 20 hours of time i will never get back. Take this as a warning i have complained to the company but they are not helping at all so dont waste your money
I received my book and am very happy with the quality of photos but after opening the book up the whole cover fell off. I also found the frames and colour backgrounds very limiting. The response from the company was always slow if I needed to ask anything and there is no email address on their website or any other contact. The only way I knew how to contact them was after I had placed an order and they sent a confirmation of receiving it.
Photos come out really clear.

Books are of excellent quality
We have ordered from them before and their quality really is amazing. It was a 100 page hard cover book. We were very happy.
I have just given my husband a voucher for a photobook for his birthday and he is In the process of getting another book from them. There was a glitch with the voucher expiry date being recorded incorrectly in their system but they have extended it by a day so they he can try ordering again. We are hoping the next one will be just as good.

I bought 3 photobook vouchers. One was for a book I was constructing, the other two were for duplication versions of the book except with a couple of changes.
I had issues completing the first photobook as I could not upload online. As suggested by them, I burnt the images onto a CD and posted this to photobook club. After approximately 3 weeks, I received an email from photobook club saying they had not received my order. I burnt another CD and sent it to them. This they received, and I received the book approximately 2 weeks later.
When...developing the 2nd and 3rd book, I also could not send through online, so I burnt a CD and sent it to photobook shop at the same address the last CD was sent. Approximately 3 weeks later I received another email to say my order had not been received. It appears this CD has also gone missing. I have left messages with Photobook Club, none of which have been returned. I have sent emails to Photobook Club, none of which have been replied. I have sent through a formal complaint. Still 2 weeks later, I have not received a reply. I have attempted to call the Photobook Club, and no one answers any more. Photobook Club deliver some of the worst customer service I have received. I will not, and recommend others DO NOT deal with them again. Books when they arrive, look great Poor customer service, No responses to emails/phone calls, I have now lost 2 vouchers because of their bad service.
Have had 3 books plus one redone for two friends who loved ours. Have used another photo book nothing like the colours. Just waiting for our next one to arrive, all promptly received. Have recommended Photobook Club to friends who saw ours. Cannot wait to goon another holiday to do yet another book
Colours, price, ease of using software
I've purchased 2 x large size (26 x 33cm), 100 page photo books from this company and on both occasions I've been exceptionally happy. The quality is fantastic - thick glossy pages and a thick hardcover also. Both photobooks had a photo enlarged on the cover and the quality was again excellent. I found the product easy to use and very flexible, however I do work in IT so I think I had an advantage putting the albums together. Have loved showing the albums to dozens of friends and family - all who are highly impressed with the quality.
