Incapable of delivering meals effectively
I like that Thrive offers low carb options and ordering individual meals. The food is fine, sometimes a little bland but not offensive, especially since I'm choosing foods designed to a certain nutritional profile. Some of the meals freeze OK.
My issue is that of four orders, not a single one has been delivered without a problem. I've had to chase up customer service for every single order and arrange another delivery. Two times it was not taken to my door in my unit complex (and one of these times I found it in the garage on top of another u...nit's hot water system??) and two times it was late. The most recent time, I was getting the text messages telling me that my order was coming that morning, my order is arriving around X time (so I waited for it instead of leaving for work), the order was five minutes away, and then... nothing. No order delivered. The online tracker suddenly says it's coming tomorrow. I've used meal delivery services a lot and none of the others has even once failed to deliver where and when they said. I order meal deliveries because I don't have time to prepare meals so I certainly don't have time to chase up customer service to find out where my meals are. I've given Thr1ve chance after chance but now I'll never use them again.

Delivery Late & Food Very Average
I was so excited to get organised and have a healthy meal prep. Unfortunately my delivery was amost 2 days late so i had to go and shop for food for the first few days. Then I started with the meals.. Lots of overpowering flavours, mushy textures and when heated, lots of water left in the containers. Also, there was a meal that came with avodaco, sealed in ready to be heated... who wants warm avocado? (no-one is the answer!)
I have tried another meal prep company and I will definitely go back to them and not order again.

I have used approximately 10 times now - the food is pretty good, but the ordering process is complex - you are ordering meals that you haven’t even tried yet, due to the lead time. If you are on the 8 week program that is supposed to have 3 stages, you never know if you have been delivered the right meals, appropriate for where you are in the 8 weeks. It usually takes me 3 attempts to actually get an order placed.
But my biggest issue is the delivery. I mean, if you send a text the night before, saying your delivery will be at 11:30am - then ...deliver at 11:30! To get an order at 5:30 pm is just plain UNACCEPTABLE!!! People have lives, jobs, work shift work, kids - all which gets impacted when this happens. In the 10 odd deliveries I have received - not one of them has been delivered on time - not even one. I’ve also had a box of food left on top garden plants in the full sun in the middle of summer - all the food was destroyed, and so were the garden plants under it. I’ve tried to put a hold on delivery for a week, and it’s been delivered anyway - for those last two events, I got a $50 refund on about $300 worth of food, which I guess shows they care a little at least - like about 15% care factor? I’ve tried working with them, to get things sorted out - because the food itself is good. It’s a shame - they have put a lot of effort into the food - but sorry, the business end sucks. I’m done - I feel like I’ve been extremely patient and given them every chance to get things right, but now I just feel like a sucker getting taken for a ride. Cancelling my subscription. A real shame.
Terrible experience with Thr1ve and would not recommend it to anyone. It seems like scam when things go wrong.
I had half my meals missing. I tried to contact Thr1ve multiple times when I had notice half the meals were not delivered.
So far 2 calls were answered out of 20 over 3 days.
They have not bothered to get back to me once they had answered to tell me what they are going to do regarding the matter of missing meals after I have paid for them. Nothing about refunds or replacements.
Youfoods, Muscle Chef and 5.4 meals have been a much better easier professional experience. I would recommend either of those instead

Absolutely appalled at this company.
Absolutely appalled at their service. Circumstances changed as does in life and I’m away and can’t accept delivery and they won’t cancel so will deliver $200 worth of food to an empty house. Super dissatisfied with the customer service I received. Would not recommend this company at all. Was told to get family or friends to collect. Family is DEAD. friends freezers full. Abysmal.
