Putrid Mess on my veranda - they will not collect! - zero rating
No customer service, they delivered at 6.30am incorrectly to my address, contacted them at 7.00am and again at 8.40am to collect box, again contacted them at 2.00pm and 4.00pm to get rid of the putrid contents. Box sat in the sun for 7 hours, its still here 10 hours later stinking up my veranda. Have asked them four (4) times to collect the box, no luck. I cannot lift a heavy box & put in my garbage (its too big anyway). Are they going to clean up the mess when the rodents decide to have a party? No option for zero stars.

Bland food, 50% of the first order wrong
Thrive is an easy and effective way to purchase pre-made meals. It is cost effective and fast BUT. My first order only contained half of what I actually ordered. The expensive meals I did order were replaced with a lot cheaper meals.
I contacted the compant who were fast to offer the same order again, as in what I ordered but for free. I declined the offer.
They did not however offer to refund the difference in meal costs.
The food itself, while healthy, was bland and tasteless. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

Not Keto at all!
Ordered from thrive as I wanted to restart my keto diet. I ordered only what they classified as “keto friendly”. Despite what they claim, their meals are not keto at all. Most of them have >10 g of sugar and starch and added sugar very common ingredients. They are not that tasty either.. Delivery was alright, late by one hour.

Incapable of delivering meals effectively
I like that Thrive offers low carb options and ordering individual meals. The food is fine, sometimes a little bland but not offensive, especially since I'm choosing foods designed to a certain nutritional profile. Some of the meals freeze OK.
My issue is that of four orders, not a single one has been delivered without a problem. I've had to chase up customer service for every single order and arrange another delivery. The most recent time, I was getting the text messages telling me that my order was coming that morning, my order is arriving around X time (so I waited for it instead of leaving for work), the order was five minutes away, and then... nothing. No order delivered. The online tracker suddenly says it's coming tomorrow. I've used meal delivery services a lot and none of the others has even once failed to deliver where and when they said. I order meal deliveries because I don't have time to prepare meals so I certainly don't have time to chase up customer service to find out where my meals are. Delivery Late & Food Very Average
I was so excited to get organised and have a healthy meal prep. Unfortunately my delivery was amost 2 days late so i had to go and shop for food for the first few days. Then I started with the meals.. Lots of overpowering flavours, mushy textures and when heated, lots of water left in the containers. Also, there was a meal that came with avodaco, sealed in ready to be heated... who wants warm avocado? (no-one is the answer!)
I have tried another meal prep company and I will definitely go back to them and not order again.

Such a disappointment!
I was really looking forward to trying Thrive. My first meal of chicken cacciatore was nice, however after that the meals were really disappointing. The vegetables were already overcooked and soggy even before they were re-heated. I found a bone in my lemon chicken which just tasted like they’d squeezed some lemon over a piece of chicken. The meals were really unsatisfying and felt hungry afterwards. I ended up throwing out the whole next weeks worth of food it was really disappointing and I wouldn’t ever buy their food again! I’ve since changed to a different brand (You Foodz) and they’re fresh and delicious and I feel full after eating them. Out of 10 I give thrive a zero!

I ordered 10 of their meals. When l received them, they looked like the $2 aeroplane meals you can get just with a plastic covering on them and there is no Thrive label on it. Did they buy old airline meals and resell them? I will not buy again as they do not look appealIng, the amount of protein in them is inadequate and left me hungry and from a price point are overpriced, don't compare to their competitors.

Hair, broken containers and chicken bones
I ordered 10 meals from Thr1ve.
When received I opened it , two broken containers with food everywhere.
This was fine that happens. I had a sealed one for lunch and it had two hairs and two chicken bones. One bone cutting my throat.
At this point why would I want to eat any meals, the sauce was also very bland and tasted watered down.
When I contacted the customer service they refused to refund me and tried to insinuate i had dirty plates and was i certain the hair was not my own, it was a clean plate I used to show the hair.
My partner tried one of her meals, again very bland and another hair. When contacted they said they would only refund for these four meals....Read more

Disappointing
When my meals arrived from Thrive I had a leaking chicken meal, leaking protein shake and a meal that is displayed in the photo not sealed properly. I emailed the customer service line to voice my disappointment with no response. I would NEVER buy from this company again and warn others against it. NO value for money at all. I am actually left out of pocket as I could not have the three meals.

Although the experience was disappointing. Izzy the customer service person was highly professional and has responded. I would still never order from Thrive again though, it is not value for money.

I bought a vegan essential box for $130.
Do some ruff calculations if your went to a supermarket to buy it would have all cost maximum $50-$60.
To break it down
2 vegan curries at $15 =$30
1 2kg pumpkin soup $10
Tinny bad quality vegetables = $12 worth.
Total worth = $52

Blend and overpriced
Dissapointing blend small meal. Spend two dollar more and you get a good portion freshly made at your local Thai.
Missleading packaging with ingredients which are not in the meal.
Did not contain the 325g mentioned on packaging.

great food - once you get it.
I have used approximately 10 times now - the food is pretty good, but the ordering process is complex - you are ordering meals that you haven’t even tried yet, due to the lead time. If you are on the 8 week program that is supposed to have 3 stages, you never know if you have been delivered the right meals, appropriate for where you are in the 8 weeks. It usually takes me 3 attempts to actually get an order placed.
But my biggest issue is the delivery. I mean, if you send a text the night before, saying your delivery will be at 11:30am - then ...Read more
deliver at 11:30! To get an order at 5:30 pm is just plain UNACCEPTABLE!!! People have lives, jobs, work shift work, kids - all which gets impacted when this happens. In the 10 odd deliveries I have received - not one of them has been delivered on time - not even one. I’ve also had a box of food left on top garden plants in the full sun in the middle of summer - all the food was destroyed, and so were the garden plants under it. I’ve tried to put a hold on delivery for a week, and it’s been delivered anyway - for those last two events, I got a $50 refund on about $300 worth of food, which I guess shows they care a little at least - like about 15% care factor? I’ve tried working with them, to get things sorted out - because the food itself is good. It’s a shame - they have put a lot of effort into the food - but sorry, the business end sucks. I’m done - I feel like I’ve been extremely patient and given them every chance to get things right, but now I just feel like a sucker getting taken for a ride. Cancelling my subscription. Subscription variety a let down
My rating is based on comparing with other subscription services which vary meals each week. I was disappointed to find I had to vary my meals early in week (for the following week) even before I’d tried many. The taste was good - flavourful. The meals are freezable. But just lacking the simplicity of variety I would have preferred

Terrible Experience
Terrible experience with Thr1ve and would not recommend it to anyone. It seems like scam when things go wrong.
I had half my meals missing. I tried to contact Thr1ve multiple times when I had notice half the meals were not delivered.
So far 2 calls were answered out of 20 over 3 days.
They have not bothered to get back to me once they had answered to tell me what they are going to do regarding the matter of missing meals after I have paid for them. Nothing about refunds or replacements.
Youfoods, Muscle Chef and 5.4 meals have been a much better easier professional experience. I would recommend either of those instead

Bland and boring
Pretty disappointed with the food so far, everything was quite bland and I got bored of eating it 3 bites in. Even the Rendang curry which is supposed to be quite spicy had no flavour in it what so ever. Not what you want to get after spending so much.

Stupidly expensive with poor ingredients
Watery sauces, brown chicken and very expensive considering it’s a bit of meat and 1-2 veg with small portion sizes.
The lasagne was all pasta, very little filling. The lasagna from YouFoodz is amazing, copy that!!
I ordered 14 meals, have had 3 and will probably bin the rest.
For the $14.95 I can get a delicious and healthy chicken salad with nuts and grains at a cafe in the Docklands!

No response from customer service after botched delivery
My 1st delivery arrived and i was not impressed to open it to find the sweet potato soup container was completely split open and had gone everywhere. One other container was also split and i can only assume this happened with some pretty rough handling during delivery. I have called the mobile number numerous times and no one answers or calls back. I have contacted them via chat on the website with no response and an email only sent was replied with a generic email saying they are really busy and should hopefully get back to me within 48 hours. Too bad if i hadnt recieved my delivery at all. I will be taking my business elsewhere in future.
Read the reviews before bothering with this company. There is a pretty common theme

Absolutely appalled at this company.
Absolutely appalled at their service. Circumstances changed as does in life and I’m away and can’t accept delivery and they won’t cancel so will deliver $200 worth of food to an empty house. Super dissatisfied with the customer service I received. Would not recommend this company at all. Was told to get family or friends to collect. Family is DEAD. friends freezers full. Abysmal.

Used to love them...not anymore!
I was a customer of Thrive for several months through the 28 by Sam Wood program who recommend their meals as the best healthy approved options that support what is an excellent training and eating program. wasn't able to update something as simple as my address, so had to start a new subscription which meant I lost my loyalty points from my previous account. Then, all of a sudden, they stopped delivering to this area (NE suburbs of Melbourne, hardly in the middle of nowhere) and yet again, more issues with charging my card & subscriptions. Their customer service was terrible, never followed up on emails or calls and even then, I reattempted to get it sorted on about 3 more occasions and then gave up. The mobile number they provide isn't connected, they don't respond to emails and when they do, they don't do what they say they'll do. Fed up, over it and couldn't advise people against using them which is pretty incredible given I went from raving about them to this. I have also complained to 28 by Sam Wood so they know the issues their customers are facing with this company. I now have to find another much better option and with all of the competition out there; I doubt it'll be difficult.2 comments

Disappointed!
I wish I had read reviews before ordering! The food was nowhere close to as good as other companies. A curry is not steamed chicken with sauce on top and there was no variety in the vegetables. I don't eat peas so my meals often had little vegetables. Out of 14 meals, I only enjoyed one. Also disappointed with the popped sorgum - $3 for not even a handful.
I'll stick to the other companies!
