Expensive and very disappointing
We bought this to replace our heavy, slightly impractical chicco. Got the whole kit including capsule adaptor. It’s not cheap, but the videos and reviews sold it to us.
Firstly it’s a nightmare to fold and unfold. You have to lean down one end to grab the handle, pull then twist then try to fold with the other hand from the far end of the pram. Unless you’re Mr Fantastic, you’ll end up smashing the frame against your shin. When you try to unfold it, you’re pulling the opposite side of the frame lock so the harder you pull the frame locks upon...itself again. The handle bar is another thoughtless design. You need two hands to fold it for some reason (it’s not dangerous machinery, so why use two hands to unlock?). This means you need to fold the pram first, then hold it in the air or flip it on its side to fold the handles do it can fit the extremely long chassis into your average car boot. If you don’t like it, you can buy a ute to fit the pram. It’s a bad idea to try yo outsmart the not-so-smart design by folding the handlebars first, for when it comes to fold the pram, they will clash with the brakes and won’t lock. If you bought a bassinet, like we did, you’ll need the full boot for the pram, maybe the back seat too. There is a slide at the bottom of the bassinet that allegedly folds it flat, until it doesn’t. You have to first empty everything in the bassinet, including the lining, then flip it upside down to access the slide, then use three hands, yes.. three hands, to control the slide and compress the bassinet. It still doesn’t fold exactly flat and still has the two stubs that attach to the frame sticking out to annoy you. Don’t get me started about the wheels. How on earth are you expected to remove them with the pram folded? You will need to turn it, hold with one hand, remove the wheel, drop it somewhere, somehow turn it to the other side without your fingers getting caught, then repeat. Cool, so I mastered that, how can I put them on again? By myself? On a rainy day? Crying child? With a bassinet that sits halfway across the universe because it doesn’t fit in the boot? The online video reviews make it look so easy. It’s not. It’s not the lightest either, or narrowest, or shortest... so why is it that expensive?
