Had nothing but excellent service from Jason and the boys from Airport west on numerous occasions. It’s a bloody pity others don’t follow suit. Recommend them highly.

Dual battery system incorrectly wired
I had TJM Cairns install a dual battery system in my vehicle, it was wired incorrectly and caused nearly $8000 worth of damage to the electrical system. They wouldn't issue a refund until we got to court mediation. Worse customer service I have ever had to deal with, policy seems to be just keep on denying the facts. Nine weeks without my vehicle. Would not recommend to anyone.
Great Product - Very Poor Quality Service!
I love the the look of the TJM bar work and I had this install on my Hilux. The bar work was installed and I had no issues. Due to the good service I went back and had multiple items fitted and this is where it all went down hill. Note that I used more that one workshop in the Perth area. The roof rack leaked heavily through the A-Pillar due to the rivets used allowing water penetrate. My long range fuel tank developed a very loud squealing noise which turned out to be the exhaust heat shield not being cut properly to allow for the new tank. My...BCDC setup which was installed for my dual battery setup had a much smaller capacity fuse installed and tripped out. As I’m not an auto sparky I had to stop on a trip into canarvon to have this assessed. My TJM canopy has developed a leak through the newly installed air vent. This may not be a direct TJM issue but to think a foam seal is going to stop water / act as a seal is crazy. I’ve removed it myself and resealed it with silicone but it still leaks. I will be honest and say they have acted fairly quickly on all of the issues but what makes me extremely angry is i paid good money for the products and instalations. If I can maybe influence one persons choice or make them look at other products or services, then I’m happy. I’m not one to jump online and do this but after coming back to my car after a week sitting at the airport and see water on my draw setup, enough is enough! Cheers Steve

One star is a too generous rating for this company!
Purchased a Premium Canopy from TJM Tweed Heads, for my brand new Mitsubishi Triton, their marketing and Sales Rep said that they colour match it to my vehicle. The photos are the proof. TJM sent out an Aeroklas Rep to scan the colours, they stated that the colour was an acceptable colour match! I then got an independent spectrometer testing of both vehicle and canopy and discovered two extra pigments appeared in the colour of the canopy, compared to the colour of my vehicle! So how these two different colour can match is beyond logic! Buyers b...e very aware, you might have a fight on your hands, because after trying to deal with the company 6 months later nothing, went to NSW Fair Trade, and nothing was achieved there either. So now, I on to legal action and the court! What they advertise and what they actually do are very different. See photos for yourself! In some photos(which are true and not altered) shows different colours in different light, the canopy looks darker compared to my vehicle on a sunny day and when cloudy, it looks lighter! Pathetic and frustrating!
Tjm lismore nsw 2480. Worst customer service ever!
Extremely rude owner, paid for a suspension quote I never received. After 4 weeks approached them & asked for a refund! Told me my vehicle was a piece of crap & never wanted to work on it. Apparently a quote to them is telling you verbly what you need. No itemised quote with a price or anything. Recommended avoiding this crappy place!

TJM Chipping Norton ‘mediocre installs’
I purchased a premium TJM canopy for my Wildtrack. The nuggets at chipping Norton installed a rubbish flexiglass instead, pocketing $200. The install was done by pee-wee Herman. Gaps between canopy and tray, crooked joiners, holes left in the cab, loose wires hanging everywhere, cable tied bird nest of wires next to the rock sliders (if this cable tie breaks, I would have 1 meter of wire dragging on the ground), loose wires near sharp edges, rear canopy door has gaps the size of a sausage, courtesy light doesn’t work on the back door, rubbish l...eft in vehicle and dirty floor mats, holes cut in my underbody rubber bung holes instead of using grommets. These guys are muppets! [Name Removed]- pick up your game! I will give them a chance to rectify this garbage, if I hit a wall. Then I will go direct to TJM and have a reputable company re-do the work with complete documentation to a safe standard practice. Then I will take them to court to pay for the poor workmanship and damage to what was a new vehicle, running around and overcharge for inferior product. Stay away or go down the road to ARB and save yourself a headache.
Helpful, friendly and did a good job
Due to the virus we couldn't go overseas this year so instead bought a new Prado for a few months up north. I got TJM in Pakenham to fit it out. GVM upgrade, bull bar, winch, rack, etc etc etc. Around 25k total.
Throughout I found TJM in Pakenham to be very helpful, going above and beyond on a couple of things. Their installation work was good and I was very happy with the result. I'd be happy to use them again, they were friendly, helpful and competent.
Tyres recommended not fit for purpose
We had a large for out completed on our new car, last of which was new tyres. We had expressed to TJM that we do a lot of outback travel and would be towing. We were assured the tyres recommended were the right tyres for us.
We set off on a 3 week trip travelling on gravel roads, nothing like the roads we would usually travel on, they were simply gravel and not very corrugated.
We experienced 2 tyres splitting and 1 punctured. Luckily we travel with 2 spares and were able to bung the other until we got.
We have since spoken to the tyre manuf...acturer who gave said we should never have been recommended those tyres for the style of travel and that they are not suitable for towing as they are not light truck tyres. We have since spoken to TJM who have taken no responsibility. They simply don't want to know. A response along the lines of thanks for your feedback but off you go.
un safe vehicle .
Purchased front suspension struts extra heavy duty as recommended by sales staff and they were very friendly , not given the option to pay for the good when i wanted to but had to pay when finished , had vehicle serviced at local isuzu dealer and informed of oil leak from front left strut , drove to townsville store were purchased and they looked under and stated ;yes it is leaking ; but; shill ;be right mate , i advised then that i;m going on a ten to fifteen thousand km outback trip over very rough dirt roads and the nearest help is days awa...y so can i have the broken strut replaced as still under warranty , told no we don;t have any in stock and it will take around six weeks to get one , told them i only have a week before i go , there reply was it will be ok till you get back or they can replace both front struts which are not the same ones as what i have so long as i pay half the cost . oil leaking under a vehicle makes it un road worthy , loosing gas pressure on one strut affects how the vehicle handles and braking , they don;t give a damn, not their problem ,were not interested , very poor attitude when there is a problem . Will contact ACCC and take matter further . Never again will I deal with TJM .
TJM chaser Bar saving our day!
I hit a Large Eastern kangaroo tonight at 60klm, TJM bar deflected the Roo without a scratch to the bar and Ranger, but unfortunately not so lucky was the kangaroo ... I’m very impressed with the quality, integrity and exactly why I purchased the bar.
My rear bar.
My rear bar after just 6 years. What a joke. The material
Is thin as alfoil and completely rusted out. When I complained about it I was told it’s out of warranty see ya later. Not good enough. Could you imagine replacing a roo bar every six years. Don’t think so.

On request for my concerned on rear canopy connection racks Staff member [name removed] start to get personal and basically telling me to go away.

I still got Scratches on Ranger roof top from Rhino rack installation .
Email sent to TJM.
I purchased a LC200 for its reliability and capabilities to travel around Australia with the first 2 trip planned 2021, Cape York and Simpson Dessert - Madigan line. I purchase the current accessories from TJM Canberra as I was very impressed with the quality of previous installations of TJM product from/by TJM Albury.
I am both disappointed and concerned that that the accessories install by TJM Canberra may either fail or even be a cause a vehicle fire. As a qualified electrician, I am fully aware of ensuring electrical co...

No customer communication
TJM suspension fitted in June 2019 to my 2016 Prado. Happy with the service and installation. 10000km later leaking front left strut. Disappointing, but it happens I'm told. St Marys TJM check strut, agree, and request warranty replacement. So far so good. I'm told over the phone it's been approved and I'll be contacted when strut arrives from Melbourne. Weeks later no phone call. Visit store where a very rude and disinterested lady tells me she has no idea what I'm talking about. Remind her she was there when I initially spoke to them. Rudely...looks up request on computer and says "yeah it's been here for a while. You should've called". Had strut installed today and was met with cold shoulder by both staff and dismissed when job was completed. Commented on rude service, other member came out to car and confronted me for blaming him for NO COMMUNICATION!! I reminded him of our conversations in the past to no avail. Will never set foot in that store again. The minute you mention warranty they get defensive and smiles disappear. They are happy to take your money but if anything goes wrong don't expect to get any sympathy or apology from TJM. If I ran my Handyman business that way I'd be broke in months!!!
Had accessory battery system installed by TJM in Cairns and had continuous trouble with it over several years. Called in to see the guys at TJM Mackay who didn’t want to know us. Ended up at an auto electrician who was amazed at the “shoddy” workmanship. $900 later and a new system installed we have finally solved the problem.
