Slow service and poor communication
I've used this company a few times. The first was great - item arrived quickly and with no issues. The second time it seemed like nothing was happening, but after a few emails went without a response I received notification that the order had been processed and was on its way, and the order arrived later than expected, but in good condition. The most recent time, I purchased a phone from them, received an email saying that the order was processing almost immediately, waited 9 days, nothing further, contacted them for order status, no respons...e, waited a few days, contacted them again, no response, waited a few days, contacted them again, no response. It's now been 16 days since I paid for the goods - and there's been no response from them at all, so now I have to try to get a refund through Paypal - and I won't be able to get the order filled before Christmas. I wouldn't use them again - yes they have good prices on certain items, but I wish I'd paid a bit more to ensure that the product actually turned up or to buy off a company that actually responds to enquiries. PS - if you look the 5 star reviews on the website - you'll see that lots of them are incentivised, which falsely inflates their overall rating. Buyer beware!

Ordered a galaxy s20+ and a note 20 ultra. The s20+ arrived within a week. The note 20 ultra sold to me as in stock was eventually a cancelled order as no stock.
Not getting what you are paying for
Phone I ordered was cheaper than RetIl shop(Samsung A71) but on receiving it get to kniw its not an Australian model phone so the charger cannot be plugged in Australian powerpoint. Had to spent another $45 on charger.
Cheap in every way.
If you are willing to give-up every kind of customer service for the saving, in my case around $200 per lens, then Toby deals is your store. I bought three lenses from them, Sigma 70mm, Tamron 35mm, and Sigma 100-400mm which I’ve ordered 15 days ago and paid extra for express delivery (within 3-5 days) but the lens was shipped only after 7 working days.
the communication is horrible, the email replay feels automated and certainly they don't care about you or that they didn't deliver on their promises.

Couldn't deliver - twice!
I ordered a Fujifilm 15-45mm lens twice and both times the order was not fulfilled, though I received refunds promptly.
Item still not recieved, Support not responding.
My item has been stuck shipping for over 2 weeks now, no movement or updates.
TobyDealsAU support ignore my emails and calls and I have had no response or assistance.
Item was allegedly sent with DPEX which has TERRIBLE shipping reviews online.
Legit products bad customer service
Products are legitimate and great, the problem is their communication. I paid for express delivery - it was exactly the same as regular postage. Also when their items aren't in stock they don't show that, they let you buy it and wait. Once get ask them when it will actually be sent they auto reply with a generic message, if you follow up on that and ask again you wait a few days and get the same generic message. DON'T PAT FOR EXPRESS - it makes no difference. After saying all of this I do recommend them for their products, not the swrvice
So slow for despatch and delivery.
My first experience is really bad with them. Firstly they aren’t not operating from Aust but they are using AU with their name to trick people. Item I have ordered on 14th Sep and Now 14 days past and they say item in transition and on the way to your country. Still no tracking number or any sign of its coming next 10 days to me . Price is good but delays are way too longer. I wouldn’t buy again from them.
The store was very easy to navigate through and the service was great. However the item arrived with several cosmetic dents and scratches. Still works but not happy with the condition of the unit itself despite being packaged well, it was handled poorly with little care.
Long delays -Terrible communicators
I ordered a Xiaomi Mi Note 10 6GB/128GB Dual Sim with Screen Protector and Folding Case (Black) - Midnight Black three weeks ago. I heard nothing for two weeks until I chased up and then they told me it was out of stock. They offered me the same model in green which I accepted. 1 week later they made the same offer again which I again accepted. Since nothing - they don't even respond to my emails. I've got a bad feeling about this...
Wrong adapter and seal broken
Our phones arrived with the wrong adapters that don't fit the original phone charger. The seal on the box that says "do not accept if broken" has also broken. We've contacted Toby Deals Customer Care twice and they still haven't responded even though the website says they'll respond within 24-72hrs (it's been over a week).
Not in stock - poor customer service
I ordered a phone online - no indication that it wasn't in stock online. So when 2 weeks later when it didn't arrive I got concerned and I emailed them to find out where it was, at this point they indicated they didn't have it in stock with no indication of when they thought they would have it in stock again. I'm patient so I waited another 2 weeks before emailing them again still not in stock so requested a refund. The refund was processed promptly but 4 weeks of waiting with nothing but silence isn't good enough.
Ships from Hong Kong - they did not make that clear!
Good prices, but I was upset when I realized it was shipping from Hong Kong and it still has not come more than 2 weeks later! They did not specify that! I'm still waiting!
Prices reflect the sparse customer service and support that you receive if you have any issues or queries. Random shipping times with little to no updates. Phone arrived with wrong region 30W charger.. Am I meant to purchase one myself for $60?
Inaccurate postage, no customer service.
We ordered a vacuum, website states item will be posted within 48-72 hours. This in reality took 2 weeks for item to be posted, no response when we emailed, no working phone number to contact. Eventually we got an email with tracking number, that took a week to update. In total the item took 4-5 weeks to be delivered instead of the 4-8 business days. The lack or communication was super worrying but we’re relieved the item showed up at all. Seems to be as described, however questioning the model number. We ordered v10, the battery states v9. I wouldn’t order again due to the lack of problem solving capabilities of the company. Don’t trust them.

I bought a Nikon camera and need this by end of December. I've sent email to them but no one response, I'm thinking to buy it from other store but I have put a dispute in Paypal, how do I escalate my dispute to get money back? The status in my dispute is waiting for seller's response, and the status of my order is "Paypal Reversed", what does this mean?
It is in the paypal resalute center you have to let paypal review the case.
I had the exact same status but they never actually reversed it. you need to make paypal do it.
I ordered a phone on 3rd of December and paid $25 extra for the express delivery which supposed to be delivered in 5 days but until now nothing ,sent 4 emails but no reply not even estimated time or anything at all ,the order number is TAUW380167782, any suggestion or help will be appreciated .
I emailed their support email but only got a response 4 days later.
They can be a bit slow with the dispatching and replying to emails but you will receive your phone.

It's on its way. Calm down. 9 days is nothing. These guys need at least two weeks to ship anything, despite the times quoted on their website. I ordered the same Xiaomi smartphone on the 24th of November, and it only just arrived today. Although initially it ships via a courier called DPEX, it'll be transferred to Toll once it enters Australia. You can then continue tracking it via the Toll website using the same tracking code Tobydeals provide shortly after dispatch (not your order number).
Thank you very much, they finally replied to me via email, saying that it's out of stock and they are sourcing it... Hopefully I'll get it eventually, thank you!
Toby deals are closed down (bankrupted ?) as of 19 December 2020. See if they shipped it before that, if not... you might have to get your money back.
