This company is a fraud, they were in the news for tax evasion and GST evasion. I bought a phone from them, after a month the phone restarted multiple time over the day out of no reason. I asked them to get it repaired, which they did and asked me wait for 4-6 weeks. And then after 6 weeks they said, the phone will take more time to be repaired, hence will give you a 80% refund for your usage and as per the market price.
Total fraud and scam!

I bought a Nintendo Switch game for my kid's bff on the site saying "Toby deals AU". Not only they took forever to send me the game, which did not arrive on time, but the game was coming from HK! I thought that because the web shows an AU, the item was from Australia or, at least, they have providers here to fulfill the aussie orders. Obviously no! After an email asking them about the game, the item arrived next day IN SPANISH! Can anyone tell me how on Earth this poor kids is supposed to play a game in another language? Just to let you know, I bought the ENG version advertised on their page. I have tried to contact them several times with no reply and I have raised the issue with Paypal and Fair Trading. Pure Scammers!!!!!!!

Would rate them “negative 10” (- 10) stars if I could. Buyers please stay away and be aware of their unprofessional tactics. They cannot be trusted and they do not stick to their company mission in ensuring a pleasant customer experience (so they contradict what they say on their website). Issue as follows:
Purchased a brand new Samsung Galaxy A71 in August 2020. However, upon unboxing the phone, I was shocked to see the phone showed signs of da...mage or tampering. See attached pics. There are 4 marked spots on the top of the phone where it looks like something has been put in there by someone to pry the back of the phone open 4 times. Imagine getting that shock on a BRAND NEW SEALED Samsung BOX. Contacted TobyDeals whom was not willing to investigate the issue at their end. Toby Deals kept pointing the finger at their couriers and asked me to supply photos of the packaging. The mistake I made was not to keep the packaging but even if I did, I am not sure what Toby Deals intends to do with it. I kept telling Toby Deals the Samsung box that was delivered to me by their courier was delivered in a perfectly sealed Samsung box which showed no signs of damaged at all. It definitely DID NOT look like it was tampered with by their courier so not sure what they want their courier to investigate? They should be investigating themselves or their distributor but chose to lay blame on the courier instead. I am very suspicious TobyDeals knowingly sold me a phone that has been tampered with and choose to blame other parties and they are not willing to investigate their own processes and/or distributor, and claiming that the damage is therefore not covered by warranty. So I am very shocked to have ordered and paid for a new phone only to get one that has been tampered with and they did nothing to ensure their customers are protected.
No refund for undelivered package!!
My $350 phone has been declared missing by the courier (Toll) since April, 5 months later and Toby Deals says that they are still confirming with Toll and refuse to refund me!!
Terrible service, bordering on theft, not refunding a missing package is clearly outlined as being illegal in the Australian Consumer Law, but this does not deter Toby deals from ignoring me.
Buy from this company at your own risk!!

Used insurance tracking and still no news of it. Sent several emails with no answer. My partner ordered 8 days ago. Still processing, both very expensive purchases, and no news.

3 weeks ago I ordered a new phone with express 5 day shipping, support staff don't exist, the only phone num is in hong kong. hopefully, Paypal will refund me.
I purchased a Sony Phone from Tobydeals and when the phone started to play up I tried to return but was told it was out of warranty because warranty begins when you purchase the product, not when you actually receive it.
Toby Deals SCREWED me over
Toby Deals are bloody thieves, and I wish I'd just paid the extra money and bought the phone from my local shop! Steer clear of them and just buy local to save yourself your hair and sanity! At the very least, if there are any troubles, you will know that you can just head into the shop and communicate with reasonable people to get a fair resolution!
To cut a long story short (as this was a 6 month long ordeal) - I bought a brand new Galaxy S8 Plus in Gold for $512. It took 6 weeks to arrive. After a month of use, it started randomly resetting..., and then 2 weeks later completely died. Well within the 12 month warranty, I contacted Toby Deals and after significant back and forth, they eventually accepted a return for it to be inspected. Back to Hong Kong it went. After a long period of silence re. the inspection, they finally informed me that it was indeed a fault with the phone itself. Then they offered me a replacement with a cheaper REFURBISHED GREY Galaxy S8+. I told them I didn't want refurbished, or grey. They said to wait till it was in stock. I said ok. About a month later, they told me finally another new Gold S8+ was getting sent. I said great. Then one month later, they contacted me again, and said actually they don't have it in stock, and proceeded to once again offer me a REFURBISHED GREY model, or a refund of half the original amount I paid ($256) providing no explanation as to why I was entitled to only half of the original amount, even though the phone was still under full warranty, and was not my fault. I complained, and then a few days later they came back with their best and final offer: The refurbished grey model, or a refund of $410 (still ~$100 short of what I originally paid). I accepted, so I could get at least some of my money back and move on. A nightmare experience to say the least and I will be posting this negative review in as many places as I can manage so that hopefully it saves others from what I went through!
Mis-representation of goods, No warranty, dreadful after sales service
Dyson V11 sent was damaged and was in fact a USA model, not Australian. This was misrepresented in the advertisement. There is no warranty in Australia and Toby deals refused to do anything about the damaged vacuum wand.
I suspect that they are taking advantage of the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic and are just screwing whomever they can
The product can not be used in Australia .
The product came supplied with a EU electricity lead and plug and as such I can not use it in Australia. Also it two weeks for them to send it when they said it would take three days

I've sent email to them but no one response, I'm thinking to buy it from other store but I have put a dispute in Paypal, how do I escalate my dispute to get money back? The status in my dispute is waiting for seller's response, and the status of my order is "Paypal Reversed", what does this mean?
It is in the paypal resalute center you have to let paypal review the case.
I had the exact same status but they never actually reversed it. you need to make paypal do it.
I ordered a phone on 3rd of December and paid $25 extra for the express delivery which supposed to be delivered in 5 days but until now nothing ,sent 4 emails but no reply not even estimated time or anything at all ,the order number is TAUW380167782, any suggestion or help will be appreciated .
I emailed their support email but only got a response 4 days later.
They can be a bit slow with the dispatching and replying to emails but you will receive your phone.

It's on its way. Calm down. 9 days is nothing. These guys need at least two weeks to ship anything, despite the times quoted on their website. I ordered the same Xiaomi smartphone on the 24th of November, and it only just arrived today. Although initially it ships via a courier called DPEX, it'll be transferred to Toll once it enters Australia. You can then continue tracking it via the Toll website using the same tracking code Tobydeals provide shortly after dispatch (not your order number).

Toby deals are closed down (bankrupted ?) as of 19 December 2020. See if they shipped it before that, if not... you might have to get your money back.
