Cracker deal
I bought from Toby Deals 'au' because they offered me a cracker of a deal on a Oneplus Nord phone.....around AU$500.
There is always a downside risk when buying from an overseas supplier, which is that you will not get the consumer protection and service support levels that you would if you bought in Australia.....at a considerable premium.

n they occur. As it happened, Toby and co sent me the wrong conversion plug for the charger they supplied, which meant I had to get one here for a small extra outlay. I didn't mind as I still got the deal I wanted. The answer to Toby's critics is that it offers a very skinny price for a reason. And if things don't go well, you are not going to be consumer dutchessed like you would with an Australian retailer. If that is a problem, steer clear of them.Similar opinion? Would have got 5 stars, BUT - -
After reading lots of bad reports, bit the bullet and bought 2 x Samsung S20+ on 1st Dec. After 10 days of nothing, no updates on order, I sent 3 emails over 5 days, all for no response, this is why I give 4 stars, not 5. Then on 16th Dec, email indicating Order posted, 5 days later I had my 2 phones in perfect new condition. At $650 LESS per phone than the usual local shops, I feel great about Toby Deals, and would use again.

Total waste of time, unorganized!! Never received item
I ordered and paid for a phone, then waited and waited during this time I received 2x emails saying your order is being processed only to receive another email after a month saying Tobydeals is no longer in business and order has been cancelled and refunded, what a full waist of my time!!

Arrived as described, great price
My Mavic drone arrived safe n sound, quite a prolonged period between payment and dispatch but once the tracking number was provided it was a reasonable time frame ( Hong Kong to Australia) correspondence was generic but accurate.
Suggest paying with PayPal in case there is a drama.
$600 saving... happy camper!

Didn't deliver my product
I ordered an OnePlus 8T during the black friday at a super good rate.
After a month with no updates nor replies to my emails, I had to ask PayPal for a refund. What's worse is that I lost the black friday window to get a good deal from a decent store.

Scam internet company
Terrible communication. Had to get a refund from PayPal as I didn’t hear anything from Toby deals & toby deals didn’t respond to PayPal. Facebook reviews reflected that they are a scam company and pay for good reviews.

5 star accuracy for all items ordered.
I've ordered 4 times from them, all of them had a quick turn around of 2-4 working days. Loved the cheap deals and quality products.

I have put an order for a camera lens to Toby Deals AU on 16 December 2020. The deal was hard to pass, as they offered 35% off regular price. On 18 December, the order status changed to "shipped"., and I also got a tracking number. On 19 December, I could not login to my account on the tobydealsau.com website, as the whole website was taken down. On the front page, they exhibited the message: "Due to Covid, since 19 December 2020, we are closed down, and no longer conduct the business. For warranty issues, contact the email...".

as shipped a day before they closed for good. I was a little bit concerned. But the tracking showed the parcel reached Australia. On 23 December, I got the parcel. The lens looked brand-new, and no counterfeit. That's 7 days since I placed the order. I give the company the 5 stars out of 5. I consider their unbelievably cheap price the close-down sale. Sorry to see them go. As for the people who said: "I order the stuff early December, so that to receive it before the Xmas, but the parcel did not come, and they do not answer my emails", I will tell them the following. The cheap price means the low customer service. Apparently, they are an honest company, and they will eventually ship the product, even if they do not have it at the moment. Especially if you are buying a popular product such as the phone. Being a low-service seller, expect them to deliver the stuff anywhere between 2 weeks and 2 months. Do not expect them to answer the emails (promptly), especially of the kind: "A week has passed, where is my stuff ?" Order arrived but not fully convinced
Ordered the new Samsung air buds as a gift for Christmas. Recieved order in Australia 2 days after it was shipped from Hong Kong (took 10 days to process however). Chinese writing all over the box but looks legit. Guess we will find out Christmas morning.

They said the product was in stock, I paid for express post 2 days later I was sent an email saying they could not supply my order, I have tried to get a response from theythem for a full refund and I have herd nothing for 10days now.

Order not received!
Same problem as others have faced. Placed an order on 10/12 on priority freight. Approached them couple of times inquiring the why the goods have not been sent yet. Today I noticed they are no longer in business. No response to any emails. I am wondering if Australian Consumer Law can help with this.

Ordered a Xiaomi Mi10T Pro 5G, 3 days after ordering I emailed enquiring about the order and when it would be shipped, 4 days later Tobydeals replied informing me that there was a delay in shipping but a few days after that I received another email informing me that the package was leaving the warehouse, then once it was dispatched it only took 5 days to ship from Hong Kong to me in Perth with me receiving shipping updates regularly by text message, (I paid for insured express delivery), nobody was at home the day it was delivered so Toll Freig...Read more

Buyer beware they don’t respond to emails
Purchased an Apple Watch thinking the supplier is australian (searched for shops within the country) but they turned out to be in Hong Kong. They claim to ship items within 2 working days but never did.
They never responded to any emails chasing the ETA - I sent at least 4 before contacting PayPal for a refund

Absolutely useless
Absolutely useless business. I ordered a few lenses as part of a black Friday/cyber Monday deal. It's more than 10 days later now and I've had zero response from them about when my order will actually ship.
Their page says 2-3 days but ordering one weekend, and having no update before the next weekend, I sent a message on Friday night saying I'd need to either cancel the order or change the address as I'm going to be away before it arrives based on their shipment estimates. I changed it up and went through PayPal and put in a dispute with screenshots of messages, t&cs, shipping time estimates, refund policies. 2 days later, I get an email "We're packing your order and it will be leaving our warehouse shortly." The moment the notification came up, I went to their site. The order said "Status: Paypal Reversal" or something. I can't remember for sure and I can't check now because a day later, it says "Status: Packing" and Paypal still shows there's been no response from the seller. So it's been a long time since I ordered, a long time since my first message to them, a slightly shorter time since my second message and a few days since I opened a Paypal dispute and still no response from them. At one point I thought it might just be an abandoned site from a now defunct business but then their banner changed from Cyber Monday to Christmas.Similar opinion? Very Poor Customer support. NO REPLY AT ALL.
I ordered a phone on 10th Dec and they have horrible software after adding Postcode of QLD it auto select NSW. From 11th onwards sent 4 emails and sent 2 messages on their chat and No reply. Today ie on 17th Dec a few hours back they sent the item and the State is NSW.
Very disappointed. I think we need a better law in Australia so companies who are running a business overseas must be made accountable.

Great service, great prices and great products!
I recently bought a Google Nest Hello doorbell from TobyDeals and it came in excellent condition! It was thoughtfully wrapped in bubble wrap and other standard packaging and the doorbell itself was in the original sealed Google box. Honestly, I was a bit sceptical of TobyDeals at first after seeing some negative reviews, but my experience with them was nothing but positive. If you're having doubts and the product you want is too good to let go, just go for it and buy it!

Ordered Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro because it was cheaper than anywhere else.
It's been 9 days since then, I tried contacting them via email, another email, phone, another phone, comments, questions, reviews, nothing helps.
Escalating this through PayPal right now.
Don't risk buying anything here.
I thought it may take some time (like aliexpress) but the seller is not responsive at all.
Hope that I'll get my money back at least.
It should be banned from Google and PayPal.

Slow service and poor communication
I've used this company a few times. The first was great - item arrived quickly and with no issues. The second time it seemed like nothing was happening, but after a few emails went without a response I received notification that the order had been processed and was on its way, and the order arrived later than expected, but in good condition. It's now been 16 days since I paid for the goods - and there's been no response from them at all, so now I have to try to get a refund through Paypal - and I won't be able to get the order filled before Christmas. I wouldn't use them again - yes they have good prices on certain items, but I wish I'd paid a bit more to ensure that the product actually turned up or to buy off a company that actually responds to enquiries. The status in my dispute is waiting for seller's response, and the status of my order is "Paypal Reversed", what does this mean?

It is in the paypal resalute center you have to let paypal review the case.
I had the exact same status but they never actually reversed it. you need to make paypal do it.

They can be a bit slow with the dispatching and replying to emails but you will receive your phone.

It's on its way. Calm down. 9 days is nothing. These guys need at least two weeks to ship anything, despite the times quoted on their website. I ordered the same Xiaomi smartphone on the 24th of November, and it only just arrived today. Although initially it ships via a courier called DPEX, it'll be transferred to Toll once it enters Australia. You can then continue tracking it via the Toll website using the same tracking code Tobydeals provide shortly after dispatch (not your order number).
Thank you very much, they finally replied to me via email, saying that it's out of stock and they are sourcing it... Hopefully I'll get it eventually, thank you!
Toby deals are closed down (bankrupted ?) as of 19 December 2020. See if they shipped it before that, if not... you might have to get your money back.
