Buy at own risk with this pathetic joke of a company.
Ordered phone back on July 7th to send to Melbourne, with insurance.
After not seeing any change in Toby status sent Toby an email 3 weeks later.
Said item would be soon be shipped.
A week later finally shipped.
Took a week before the courier updated its status.
Had to message Toll as they were the courier at this end with a status of Unable to deliver, Delivery not accepted - items missing from delivery, on the 5th August, even though there is only 1 item.
Toll updated the status as arrived in Melbourne on the 11th
Still no sign of it 2 weeks later and no courier status update. Emailed toll again, no response so far.
Meanwhile the Toby website status shows Delivered.
Send a Paypal dispute....
Ordered 15 days ago, still haven’t received the product. Sent emails asking about it, no answer.
Used insurance tracking and still no news of it. Sent several emails with no answer. My partner ordered 8 days ago. Still processing, both very expensive purchases, and no news.

the phone you have sent me is unusable in Australia. I have a phone I can not use and you are not answering my emails. If I do not get my money back or another phone I will report you to the Australian Taxation Office because your are defrauding them off the GST and they will pull your webside from the Australian Market.

I am absolutely livid as per my experience buying on your website. The way that your website runs and deals with customer complaints is farcical and primitive. I bought a Dyson V11 animal vacuum cleaner and received it on the 21st of April, and after two days of casual use the main body broke. I contacted the Dyson head office and went to their warehouse in Melbourne to check the item, and it was found that I had been sold a faulty vacuum head which broke down as quickly as I received it. I received written confirmation that it ...was due to a hardware issue prevalent in the head as it was being sold to me. I then contacted TobyDeals regarding the issue, to which I received no response for over two weeks, and it only took until I filed a PayPal dispute to return my item or receive a refund for my item for them to respond. After that, I found that TobyDeals lied to PayPal about reaching out to me for my order prior to me filing a case, to which I have email evidence that there was no correspondence in two full weeks after my initial email. I lost the PayPal dispute for a return as a result, TobyDeals never gave me an option for a refund or a return until after I lost the dispute, in which then you offered to take the item back provided I pay for postage. In all my experiences shopping online, I have never been dealt such a disrespectful, distasteful, abhorrid response to an issue that could have easily been solved with simple correspondence back and forth early after my complaint. It certainly would have not been an issue had I been sold an item that was not defective, to which TobyDeals did. I am absolutely frustrated and furious with my experience, I would not recommend TobyDeals to anyone and I would highly recommend everyone to stay away from this site completely. Justice demands retribution for the absolutely shocking experience I, and many others according to the reviews, have had buying on the site.

Worst result ever. Faulty on arrival and they say its not their problem.
I purchased a V10 Absolute vacuum cleaner from To bus Deals. It was supposed to be brand new. I paid almost $800 for it. It arrived approx 2 weeks ago and almost immediately started making loud noises and banging on the floor. When I looked at the roller, one of the small rowes of brushes is coming out of the roller. I pushed them back in but they keep coming out. My first email to Tobys deals was 2 days after i received the vacuum. Their first reply said I physically broke it so it wasn't covered. They tried this a couple of times and then the...y ask a question every day or two to delay the process. Now they are saying it was damaged in transit. Meanwhile I paid a lot of money for a vacuum and still cant use it two weeks after i received it. When purchasing online it's a big risk and this certainly didn't pay off. If you get bad goods, don't expect Tobys Deals will honour their responsibilities. Worst possible scenario.

3 weeks ago I ordered a new phone with express 5 day shipping, support staff don't exist, the only phone num is in hong kong. hopefully, Paypal will refund me.

I bought a expensive wireless HDMI sender and receiver and they are shipping a cheap model inside their expensive model mixes, I've spent countless emails trying to get a replacement or refund and they wait days only to ask the same questions again. You cannot get to speak to a real person and their support them do not reply, I've lodged an RMA and they take forever to respond only asking the same questions i can only assume is a bot.
I purchased a Sony Phone from Tobydeals and when the phone started to play up I tried to return but was told it was out of warranty because warranty begins when you purchase the product, not when you actually receive it.
We bought a phone and it didnt last well. Have attempted to contact on several occassions and finally a response advising they were "delighted" we had received our phone. Clearly hadnt read our emails which is very disappointing. Off to consumer affairs.
Toby Deals SCREWED me over
Toby Deals are bloody thieves, and I wish I'd just paid the extra money and bought the phone from my local shop! Steer clear of them and just buy local to save yourself your hair and sanity! At the very least, if there are any troubles, you will know that you can just head into the shop and communicate with reasonable people to get a fair resolution!
To cut a long story short (as this was a 6 month long ordeal) - I bought a brand new Galaxy S8 Plus in Gold for $512. It took 6 weeks to arrive. After a month of use, it started randomly resetting..., and then 2 weeks later completely died. Well within the 12 month warranty, I contacted Toby Deals and after significant back and forth, they eventually accepted a return for it to be inspected. Back to Hong Kong it went. After a long period of silence re. the inspection, they finally informed me that it was indeed a fault with the phone itself. Then they offered me a replacement with a cheaper REFURBISHED GREY Galaxy S8+. I told them I didn't want refurbished, or grey. They said to wait till it was in stock. I said ok. About a month later, they told me finally another new Gold S8+ was getting sent. I said great. Then one month later, they contacted me again, and said actually they don't have it in stock, and proceeded to once again offer me a REFURBISHED GREY model, or a refund of half the original amount I paid ($256) providing no explanation as to why I was entitled to only half of the original amount, even though the phone was still under full warranty, and was not my fault. I complained, and then a few days later they came back with their best and final offer: The refurbished grey model, or a refund of $410 (still ~$100 short of what I originally paid). I accepted, so I could get at least some of my money back and move on. A nightmare experience to say the least and I will be posting this negative review in as many places as I can manage so that hopefully it saves others from what I went through!
Will not honour warranty
I ahve purchased several phones and devices from them, just be aware that they will not honor the warranty. Firstly they said it was water damage (which was not possible in my case) than claimed physical damage of some kind, even though it had not been dropped, all this with only a picture of the phone.
Yes prices are good, and I recommend them, but I hope my friends never have a problem.
Mis-representation of goods, No warranty, dreadful after sales service
Dyson V11 sent was damaged and was in fact a USA model, not Australian. This was misrepresented in the advertisement. There is no warranty in Australia and Toby deals refused to do anything about the damaged vacuum wand.
I suspect that they are taking advantage of the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic and are just screwing whomever they can
Faulty phone but they say it's fine
I have a Xiaomi M9, it lasted 2 months before becoming faulty. Phone would get so hot it switches itself off, battery would last one hour and headphone jack would sometimes connect. They say it's fine now I have to pay to get it back. Why would I sent a perfectly good new phone away for over a month, if it's fine. Will never purchase products from them again
Burning your money
Absolutely a waste of money. Don't buy electronics online. Purchased a Samsung A70 and it dies 1 month after purchase. Returned to store and said it was not covered by warranty due to physical damage. Shipping caused the physical damage. So apparently I threw away my money. Thanks!
Very bad after sales service
Buyers beware. Toby deals are great at point of sale, but once that deal is done, then forget getting something repaired or changed after even if the item is still under warranty.
My case was a mobile and the hoops they get you to jump to get the item to be seen is incredible.
Shop with care, better pay some more from outlets who are reputable rather than saving some dollars for a lemon after 11 months of use.
As for me, I’m gonna stir away from these guys. Never again they’ll see a sale from me.
The product can not be used in Australia .
The product came supplied with a EU electricity lead and plug and as such I can not use it in Australia. Also it two weeks for them to send it when they said it would take three days
Won't cover a water proof smart watch with swimming function, due to water damage.
I purchased a smart watch from
Tobydealsau. My watch had issues so I sent it back. They won't cover the repair, because the watch has water damage. I purchased the watch because it has a Swimming function, and advertised it was water proof. Tobydeals do not seem to understand. Avoid this company!
2 weeks and 20 phone calls later still waiting.
It’s 2 weeks and 20 phone calls later and the product still hasn’t arrived. We have been told many times it will come the next day and it never comes. Not worth it, go into a store and buy your item instead.
Edit-another week and I’ve paid for insurance which I shouldn’t need anyway as we have simple laws but they are refusing to pay and saying an investigation will take 4 weeks!
Non existent aftersales customer service. Dodgy
I bought a Nokia 6.1 in June 2019. Great price and colour, great features too. This was only used a handful of times when I went overseas. 3 months after, the phone stopped working and no matter what I do its on download mode. Contacted this company and no courtesy to reply to emails. Will never buy again. Poor aftersales customer service. Be WARY

I bought a Nikon camera and need this by end of December. I've sent email to them but no one response, I'm thinking to buy it from other store but I have put a dispute in Paypal, how do I escalate my dispute to get money back? The status in my dispute is waiting for seller's response, and the status of my order is "Paypal Reversed", what does this mean?
It is in the paypal resalute center you have to let paypal review the case.
I had the exact same status but they never actually reversed it. you need to make paypal do it.
I ordered a phone on 3rd of December and paid $25 extra for the express delivery which supposed to be delivered in 5 days but until now nothing ,sent 4 emails but no reply not even estimated time or anything at all ,the order number is TAUW380167782, any suggestion or help will be appreciated .
I emailed their support email but only got a response 4 days later.
They can be a bit slow with the dispatching and replying to emails but you will receive your phone.
Pls raise to PayPal asap. Toby deal closed business

It's on its way. Calm down. 9 days is nothing. These guys need at least two weeks to ship anything, despite the times quoted on their website. I ordered the same Xiaomi smartphone on the 24th of November, and it only just arrived today. Although initially it ships via a courier called DPEX, it'll be transferred to Toll once it enters Australia. You can then continue tracking it via the Toll website using the same tracking code Tobydeals provide shortly after dispatch (not your order number).
Thank you very much, they finally replied to me via email, saying that it's out of stock and they are sourcing it... Hopefully I'll get it eventually, thank you!
Toby deals are closed down (bankrupted ?) as of 19 December 2020. See if they shipped it before that, if not... you might have to get your money back.
