Todo Digital Electric Food Dehydrator
Hyde A.North Queensland, QLD
- Verified purchase
Works EXACTLY as intended and described.
My first dehydrator, and zero regrets purchasing this one. I've used it to create beef and chicken jerky so far, and will soon start drying fruits as well.
The jerky turns out perfect and super tasty. The trays are a little annoying to clean, but nothing too bad. Some of the trays seem to bend a little if you manhandle them too much, and won't fit properly in the stack, so I've just taken to placing a heavy textbook on top of the stack when I'm running it, just to make sure the trays are fully sealing together.

ave this product 2 stars purchased it for a use that was never advertised (drying minced meat) and are complaining that the product isn't suited for it. They say it works well as intended, yet still gave it 2 stars. Okay...Purchased in July 2019 at Kogan.com for A$59.00.

Not Good for Dehydrating Mince Meat
I have just purchased this dehydrator to prepare dehydrated meals /snacks for camping trips. Firstly the product arrived from Kogan well packaged and promptly delivered. As a mere male, I am still experimenting with dehydrating to get the correct level of dryness, which is reliant on many factors such as temperature, time, thickness of the product being dried. Instructions with the machine are very basic, but there is plenty of info on the internet. The included instructions - table of product drying times & temp have an excessively broad...Read more
range eg Bananas 10 - 36 hours!! I think quoting such a vast range is quite poor. Product seems to work as intended, sending warm dry air over the product....However the product is not good for drying minced meat as the holes in the drying try are too large and will allow the meat to fall through same. The unit should come with one mesh drying tray insert mine didnt..but I have requested Kogan supply the missing part) ...which would be great for mince; but for efficiency one would need several.Similar opinion? hi toni, I clean my dehydrator with hot soapy water, using a small nail brush and rinse well. There are heaps of online recipes for beef jerky; I havent made it yet, buts its an upcoming project as I want to take it with me on an upcoming camping trip. I believe the key is to thinly slice fat free meat. Easiest to cut the meat if you semi freeze it. I also understand there are a lot of Facebook dehydrator groups that maybe worth a look. Hope this helps,
