Still magnificent

See my previous review and accolade (Dave) This car has now exceeded 860,000 kilometres (yes, again you read that correctly) The downside is its negative cachet and snob value though personally I consider it a plus. Another positive is its anti-theft system, the very best. Simply leave the keys in the ignition with the window open and no self-respecting car thief would want to steal it let alone find it has a manual transmission which they couldn't even drive. Show details

23 yo and still going

This my daily ride since 2009, I got it second hand at a car yard. It had a lot of genuine extras, mag wheels, tow bar, window shields. It hasn't been an expensive car to run, the 2.2 Lt motor has been reliable and lean. Over the years I've replaced the timing belt twice, head gaskets, front and back suspension, oil pump, water pump, radiator and a few other small things. I like it's level of comfort, speed, reliability and handling. It's 138 Hp is more than enough for highway use, it tows 500 Kg without problems. It's name is 'Zippy' because of it's quick response from stop. I've got a feeling we are going to be a team until I'm forced to buy an electric car, he'll last another 20 years. Show details

Camry 1998 if looked after goes forever. Greatest budget car

1998 camry csi v6. Brought the car very cheap for a low mile log book serviced car. After 150000 km and 6 years of hassle free driving this car is the best I ever owned. Very cheap to service and maintain if you know basic mechanics. The paint on all darker painted camry have faded but at 21 years old that's ok. Show details

Love my Camry - can’t imagine life without it

A workhorse, I’ve had it for just over two years and it’s done 96k and hasn’t skipped a beat! Travelling city and remote, it’s a smooth drive and goes when it needs to. Show details

Quentissential from A to B car

Bought mine at 200,000 (3L 1mz v6) So far, Its up to 270,000. Absolutely no issues. Comfortable car to drive and extremely reliable. I have used any old oil to date and only performed common everyday maintenance.

Somewhat of a boring vehicle if you are looking for a Paul Walker experience.

Good points are that its reliable, decent on fuel, solid vehicle, alot of space etc.

Bad points, a tad boatish, and can be a really boring car at times when you see people fly past in sports cars and the like.

Best car in the world

I bought a 1999 Camry manual for $1,500 with 255,000 on the odo and I Use it for short city drive and long highway drive and never misses a beat. It’s my everyday commute. I Change the oil and oil filter with 5w30 semi synthetic every 6,000km and engine is like butter so smooth. Bought 2 tyres for the front from a wreckers for $25 each including the rims. Ac is cool as ice and heater is warm in winter. If anyone wants 2 cars in a family, the 2nd car should definitely be a Camry as it is 100% reliable and long lasting. My wife has Holden Barina 2009 hatchback which has 1000 problems one after another but my cheap and old Camry is there on my good days and my worst days by my side.

Toyota Camry for sale 2001 excellent condition 152,000 on the clock

My Toyota Camry is in excellent condition it runs smoothly and for the first 4 years was serviced by Toyota since then by Ultra Tune but I feel I am getting too old and frail to drive her any more sadly. It has never let me down apart from a new battery from RACQ twice.

Good first car

Second-hand car that has been in the family for quite some time now. This was one of the cars that I learnt how to drive in, and a car I'd consider a good 'first car' for new drivers. For quite an old car, I think the driving experience is quite good. It performs well, however going up hills, I can feel the car struggle a little.

Great car

It still funtions well. It is fuel efficient. 0-60 in a blink. Engines are great havenot experienced any problems yet. It can be your primary or secondary car and it wont let you down. You are always ready to go and with the full tank fuel tou can go more than 600kms

Amazing Car!

I have '99 Camry Wagon CSI. Bought it last year when she had over 250k on the clock. This is one of the best cars I've ever had - reliable, very comfortable and quite economic on fuel. It's definitely not a fancy car, but it does its job very well. During 12 months of using it i replaced the brake pads and wiper blades :) This is why I like old Toyotas :)
