we were given a 3 year Toyota factory extended warranty after a service manager told my wife to go get f..ked after we asked a few questions as car was not as described been brand new. The factory extended warranty was to start after the new car warranty expired, however it never existed even though they gave us all the paper work it did on 2 occasions as the original paper work went missing out from service book from the dealership that gave us the Toyota factory warranty. So my so called 4x4 which its far from it had an issue that was only fo...und once new car warranty expired , that was Transmission was burnt out along with broken struts at 40.000 ks and the rear inbuilt antenna had issues. So before we headed off to the N.T and top end of W.A for wife's family to meet there great grandson and grand nephew we called to be sure we are covered in case of emergency, What we were told we stopped dead in our tracks and the stresses kicked in let alone we did not even end up going on our trip losing money at motels we booked on our long drive as overnight driving we wanted to avoid as roos everywhere. Toyota Insurance informed us that our policy was never paid for and did not exist even though they sent us paper work as if it did exist after the original went missing from log book. So we call and email the dealer where the senior area manager for Toyota M.C Australia organised the Toyota factory extended warranty to be given to us and put the question to them what the hell is going on, there reply was sorry we forgot to pay for it, load of croak as they sent out paper work after other lot was taken by same dealership, and what over 3 year new car warranty you forgot to pay for it. More they paid for it as underwriter informed me then cancelled it within there 14 day Toyota cooling off period , the underwriter even informed Toyota Finance to contact me and tell me this has been cancelled yet Toyota finance part of Toyota failed to do so. So Toyota Finance activate the 3 year Toyota Factory warranty outside there ow underwriters guidelines that this policy can only be taken out within the 3 year new car warranty yet Toyota And Toyota Finance believe there a law of there own, and FOS assists and allows them to do as they please,. You would expect this as FOS is made up of former insurance bosses and executives and claim they are there to help the customer however corruption within FOS is wide spread and i will get to that shortly as they will be getting a KANE & WARREN. So have diagnosis from a Toyota Dealer that my transmission has had it and as i have informed Toyota and Toyota Finance my car will never go to a dealer ever again, for reasons they can not be trusted , Toyota Finance try telling me no we say were it goes and it goes to Toyota dealership , however when was given this bogus factory extended warranty we were told we could take it to any licence mechanic so yet another lie from Toyota M.C Australia and Toyota finance. They informed me i had to take it to Lane Toyota as there the transmission specialists ad they will diagnose the auto if it has issues, they along with Toyota M.C inform me they called the dealer to let them know of the issue, or more to make claim to tell me there was no issue. Even though i had another dealer which Toyota M.C Australia on there website make claim all dealerships staff are trained by Toyota and are all qualified to diagnose any issue so they caught themselves in there own web of lies, but we did take it to lane Toyota which mind you Toyota Australia gives me incorrect address so a whole day on the road for nothing yet when we found the place and they wanted no bar of it. Not 1 person was available to come on a test drive or more they thought we were silly like them as they requested i leave my not 4x4 as claimed with them for a week, last time i left it at a dealership they caused damage to glass front windscreen and side window, they caused paintwork damage and the worst part as they disconnected the dash cam but did not see the other hidden cam in it they used it to run around in it along with 1 of there staff who was unlicensed drove to and from work and 4000ks extra was clocked up on it. Then Toyota send out 1 of there field technical officers to listen to my car at tat stage and he states on Toyota dealership paper work the nose is 2 rubber grommets and to be replaced under warranty even though it expired, however P Z from Toyota those parts do not nor have ever existed and rubber does not cause metal rubbing sounds. Then he calls a number of service managers and tells all no one is to touch my car under new car warranty that any work was done under nor with extended warranty however he already knew it did not exist, but the axe will fall on him soon to. My mechanic who services my kluger ha car on hoist and as he is an ex BMW old school trained mechanic unlike the Toyota Tecs that wear gloves not to get dirty hands and most of the work now days is nothing. My mechanic and a trans specialist heard the metal grinding sound coming from transmission as they faulted it as did not 1 but 2 Toyota dealerships, 1 used a weight distribution kit which is a band aid fix the other tried having Toyota fix it under the Factory extended warranty however they would not, and the answer to that is cause they had not activated it from Toyota M.C Australia's end, shows me just how much they are con artists and fraudsters quick to take your money and lie to you eve quicker not to do as they promise.Again we call Toyota finance and ask why its still not activated after saying its done now, and was told which was even more shocking news to me that i stated i no longer require it, more stresses. We had no choice but to involve FOS as we noticed deliberate and false information once they finally activated the Toyota Factory Extended Warranty now close to 4 years after new car warranty expired yet they started it as if they did in 2014 to commence in 2017. I found they had falsified where i brought the new car from on 2 occasions they falsified the date it was first registered and the kilometers along with other information which i reported to FOS and the 1st person i was dealing with was touching base with me every couple of weeks they were great and even told me Toyota Finance stated it was underwriters issue ad the underwriters stated it was Toyota Finance issue, it was more lets just keep hand baling back and forth to stall this, this was lodged with FOS early this year before we headed overseas. Then it was give to a more higher person in the fast track area of FOS however far from fast track as the moron has given Toyota time and more time and more time over and over and his responses are more covering his game he has been playing, he requires a good Kane. His communication with us was zero as we were told he would call us within a certain time and this was meant to occur before going abroad however has my phone on roaming so he could of called but used the excuse we already left. He has only called me 2 or 3 times in the months he has had it for yet he speaks to his buddies i Toyota Finance on a regular basis. He told me Toyota Finance did not respond to the questions asked by corrupt FOS yet he continues to give them time extensions after time extensions. He was quick to have a go at me stating when sent me the Authority for my local mechanic to repair the car however as my mechanic stated and this is legally correct that its up to Toyota Finance / insurance to make contact and or email me a letter of Authority, as any one could type up a letter and i end up not been paid. We told the FOS agent this over a month ago as well but he showed his true colours after trying to cover all his mistakes and deals with Toyota Finance / insurance. He also states he is waiting o me to sign the deed of release that i cannot take matter further or seek further repairs from the issue, Had my lawyers go over it with a top insurance law specialist and he stated you do not sign anything for following reasons, it is Toyota M.C Australia along with Toyota finance who have 1 breached the law, 2 committed fraud and more so letting you believe you had the Toyota factory extended warranty when it was not even activated yet sent me out paper work of cover after original was taken, then breach there own terms and conditions , 3 knowingly committed fraud by stating you brought the car from this dealer then on the other notice from another with false incorrect date of 1st registered and kilometers and price, 4 as he read the emails between me and Toyota Finance and Toyota M.C customer service they deliberately failed to answer the questions you put to them abut the fraudulent entries, 5 the transmission is damaged and all this time they have avoided there responsibilities to repair there is other mechanical components that work with transmission and if or most likely have suffered damage then if you sign this and the mechanic finds other issues then you cant do jack, he advised me not to sign as Toyota Finance / insurance are carrying this out with intentions to cover there mistakes and fraudulent activity. I advised FOS as the person handling this was keen i get it back to him, that i will wipe my butt with it send it back as Toyota finance want things on there terms but insurance does not work that way, they are doing so cause they know they have shot themselves good and well and the guy from FOS who has told us and emailed us several times he will have his outcome on so and so but never the case as he gives Toyota finance / insurance more and more time extrusions, lucky for me an investigator was activated a few weeks back to look into what there up to and both Toyota M.C Toyota Finance / insurance and the person from fos handling this will have questions to answer, very serious ones to, they may want to get the idea of what a cell looks like soon to. Both FOS and Toyota finance / insurance are aware i have many drs to see prior to life saving surgery booked on the 23rd of this month, FOS investigator knew of this upon my return from abroad, i supplied him with a letter from 1 of my treating Drs as i advised him my Drs have seen the stress over this and even have missed important appointments as transmission lost gear all together ,asked if i had to send it to him so he can work out what compensation we are entitled to, my dr has in confidence to FOS and i told him for his eyes only, he has sent it to Toyota Finance as someone from there called his clinic however he is away, i was told buy other Drs there. yet he turns around and says i can not use it if i cannot share it with them as what i send he needs to send to Toyota Finance yet we have only received 3 things from him from Toyota Finance and insurance and it started not stacking up, more so he he asked if i missed anything i haven't sent to send him and apart from all the paper trial if he believed i would send him all the recordings that will fix these fraudsters once and for all well he is wrong cause i know this guys game as he has been caught out lying over and over then uses every excuse to get out of it. The stress FOS and Toyota finance / insurance has brought on in the past week has had my BP all over the place, have an iv with medication and still on it as i write this flowing into me however this was the one medication the surgeons did not want me on prior to the surgery so my life saving surgery has now been cancelled due to this as it stays in the blood stream and will cause complications. Toyota Finance & FOS have now given me a death sentence my kids grow up without me 1 is only 3 ,my wife and family grow old without me but that was Toyota Finance / insurance and FOS game. As of this afternoon legal documents are been drawn up to take both Toyota M.C Australia, Toyota Finance / insurance and the dodgy FOS investigator through the court system , i most likely will not be around to see the result in body but in spirit il be there , however its time that the courts hear the fraudulent dealings that have taken place including the deed they expected me to sign to cover the fraudulent activities, the lies misconduct and all the loses including my life in the end. I got an email at end of business from the FOS investigator as he always send at end of business cause he is dodgy stating Toyota Finance has sent authority to the mechanic, um derrrrrr was telling him this is only way the mechanic would carry out the works for few weeks but tries covering his dodgy dealings up, he also states as Toyota Finance / insurance ask for a further extension which earlier email he said needed to think about but knew he would give it to the as he has many many times, i already knew he would cause his a lying rat . The mechanic informed me he can not do work until parts arrive from japan as its a brand new transmission he will be ordering, My car is fitted with equipment that patient transport doe not carry, tells you how serious my illness is plus i put it to FOS is Toyota finance / insurance going to pay fr it or will you. He asked is there not anyone else who can take you, lets see i have a suv i have been waiting over 18 months to be fixed , my neighbors works as do my adult kids and uni as well and oh my wife car is so small i cant fit in it without been in pain after what happened abroad that again in FOS hands yet that may take 20 years even more in there fast track section as this has been since June of this year and we are in October now. Time to face the music Toyota M.C Australia , Toyota Finance insurance and FOS , not going to back down but will take you all down, and there will be action now life saving surgery has been canceled as you all just gave me a death sentence cause of the lies deception fraud and misconduct you all have committed. I gave you all ample opportunity now the courts and the media oh and the Royal commission that is taking place will make sure you are punished financially and charges brought against you as a legal person is filling in the paper work so its used in the royal commission how you took a life over $$$$$$$$.

Getting too expensive for no valid reason
Have been with them for 2 years and sharing my experience.
There was a not at fault incident I was involved in the past and the process was not difficult. The repair was done by their own mechanic that was not far away and had done a good job.
My premiums just kept increasing first from $99/m to $107/m and then $107/m to $120/m. None of my conditions had changed except for the car's value which is going down each year, yet my premiums go up by ridiculous amount.
I rang them up for explanation and was given not so convincing reasons like suburb's risk value has increased and they're matching competition, etc...
If your premiums are affordable I guess no problem with them from my experience.
“Under staffed” Toyota insurances words
Assessor from Toyota said, “send through the invoice for signage to the vehicle, you will be reimbursed”.
I send through the invoice, as per his requirements and wait over a month with no reply, called up and found they will not reimburse the signage costs.
Ask why they didn’t simply respond to my email to decline the reimbursement. There response “Sorry we are understaffed”, lol pretty embarrassing.
Also, there recommended smash repairer was diabolical. Took them 3 months to get the parts.
I have been with them for 18 months now and have had my car damaged by other parties twice. The most recent occasion I was looked after by Apol and had the claim approved whilst on the phone. The service was efficient and friendly unlike dealing with the at fault parties insurance company.
Involved in a 3 car pile up my car was in the middle hit front and back I have been without my car now for 8 weeks it's still in the panelbeaters I'm not an Expert but 8 weeks seems a bit long they have promised me my car in another week they are saying the delay was waiting for the assessors to come out from Toyota? I've heard nothing from Toyota all my information is from me calling the repairer.

No "at-fault" accident for the last four years as the new owner. On 5th August, unfortunately, I smashed two mirrors while reversing to the garage in a single accident. Requested by Toyota Insurance to get a quote and vehicle fixed from their authorized smash shop which is 60 km away from my home. After discussion, a local smash shop is selected by us and the quote is accepted by Toyota Insurance, actually lower than the price form other Toyota desired repairer.
Claim office changed the story later on and forced us to lodge two claims to pa...y double access fees. Assessor called but refused to state the reason coz the decision was based on his experience. No statement in the e-mail will be given as well, "That is not our way to do so. ", quoted from the assessor who even did not disclose his name. Rude and unprofessional. Sent several emails to claim center two weeks ago RE the reasons of two claims but no reply since then. The vehicle is not safe to drive as both mirrors are not functional. Pretty disappointed as we have two vehicles with Toyota Insurance. Already give-up the hope to get the rest of the yearly insurance premium back after reading previous threads.

Had a MB accident late May. Claimed against the driver at faults insurance... Toyota.... still waiting on our payout after being told it's been processed and we would have our money by Thursday. Now it's you'll have it by Monday. Sent all the documentation thru that they requested....several times after each operator stated they needed more info. Got put thru to management after losing it with the operator and even they admitted the claim had been handled poorly!!! In the mean time we are without transport after losing a deposit on a car when they assured us we would have the money today! Poor effort Toyota.
Useless Customer Service
Had an accident a week ago or so as been hit from the back by someone who has fully insured with Toyota and still trying to reach claim department but impossible to contact. 1800 numbers are useless. Intentionally they do not answer the phones from 8.30am to 4.30 pm. Probably will escalate to court to take legal action as did not like their sickening behavior!
After being involved in an accident over a month ago and making a claim which im not at fault Toyota have told me my car will be ready in another 6 weeks from now. They wont offer me a courtesy car and there customer service is diabolical. They have lost my business forever. Useless. Dont use.

One of our cars was damaged by one of their clients and he was found to be at fault. They accepted liability and agreed to pay us a write off amount. Three weeks later we are still waiting. Their latest lie when we enquired about the delay was “we have some system problems”. This just doesn’t pass the sniff test. They are trading under the name of one of Australia’s leading brands. Toyota - take note ! These unethical liars are trashing your name. Have a look at the reviews - you are overwhelming getting trashed. You should do something about this if you value your reputation. Oh what a terrible feeling.
Impossible to contact if you have a life..
My sister in-law recently hit my car called toyota her insurer. They then took over 2 weeks to process it. After speaking to my sister she informed me that i had to contact them as they wanted to speak to me directly, also my repairer was unable to process the claim. I attempted to call them on my dismal 1x 15min lunch break i get everyday and i would spend the entire duration on hold every time. I work 6 days a week and start at 3am and finish at 5+ pm which they aren't open yet and they are closed. I emailed them "nrmerous" times to no avail....its been over a months now and iv been forced to take a day off work for 1 phone call. Made the call just now and they said if uv been having so much trouble you should have emailed us we don't have your phone number... wow... seriously wow... do you muppets read your damn emails. All this messing around and i didn't even do anything wrong. Absolutely disgusted with their service i don't understand how they are still in business..

I have been with Toyota comprehensive car insurance for two years ,the service is appalling if ever there were negative stars I would give it ten out of ten,frankly speaking they shouldn't be in the insurance game,had two encounters with them both not at fault but the ordeal I been thru with them made me wish I had never brought a Toyota in the first place.Had a flyscreen fall from a unit and landed on the bonnet of my ute, took photos provided them with the unit number,the real estate agent number and also the strata manager number as requ...ested.After over a month , they get back to me saying that they have no legal standing to fight the case,people take out insurance for peace of mind, the level of stress and anxiety I had been thru ,I hope no one ever has to go thru to to experience "Oh what a feeling"
I was forced to make a claim when my new hilux was attacked by rats. I was working away in a remote area with no mobile phone reception. I managed to use a landowners home telephone to organize a tow back to the dealer.
Toyota insurance informed me that I would be covered for the damage and that they would also cover the towing bill. After I forwarded the bill, they screwed me around for two weeks while they reviewed it, then decided they weren't going to pay the entire amount. The bill was fair and reasonable.

Every time I e-mail Toyota Insurance I have to follow it up a week later with a phone call as no one in their Customer Service team ever gets back to me. This happens even when I e-mail the staff member directly. They have been promising my payout for over 2 weeks now and everything has been approved. They don't seem to realise that every person they deal with is a potential customer and by providing poor service to a third party they are not gaining any new business.
When your car is involved in an accidents and gets written off. The Toyota Insurance policy terms and conditions advise that ""We will retain your damaged vehicle, including any options and accessories and keep the proceeds of any salvage value. We will also retain any unexpired portion of the registration and Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance."" Since when are they entitled to deduct the refund from RMS & CTP from the pay out figure. No other Insurance Company I know of has this shonky clause. from an agreed value of $3100 for my car being written off to a claim payout of merely $869. What rip off artists.

Couldn’t get service even when I demanded it!
I wanted to speak with a manager regarding an increase to the cost of my policy but when I called I was told “all the Managers were in a meeting”. When I stated surely someone must be available and that I’d be happy to wait, the lovely young girl I was speaking with said he would ask the training manager (Shauna or Sandra perhaps). Upon her return she passed on the message that the training manager doesn’t take customer calls and couldn’t assist the young lady or I to navigate through my enquiry. I’ve been a customer for over 7 years - until no...w. RAA has given me a lovely new policy and when my husbands policy and my daughters policy is ready to be renewed, I’ll be cancelling them as well. The young lady apologised for the lack of help which was very gracious of her. Perhaps she should be promoted to the training manager role instead. At least she tried.
