Such a great drive, so relaxed & comfortable with outstanding fuel efficiency. Brakes are fantastic a massive improvement on my previous 07/2015 Camry Altise Hybrid. Really good space making it feel so spacious inside whilst feeling compact outside, noise levels inside are really quiet. Awesome tech & safety features like Radar Cruise Control, Blind spot Monitoring, Lane keep assist & CarPlay, etc make any journey enjoyable & calming. Vision is fantastic, especially like the extra little windows on the front doors instead of internal side mirro...r covers which really reduces the front blind spots, side mirrors also give an excellent view down both sides. Nice looking vehicle even the base model, highly recommended. Great job Toyota. My only feedback would be the keyless entry handle with open & close function, which is super convenient so you can open the car without the key remote + an independent tailgate unlock button, so you don’t have to unlock all doors to just open the tailgate (Both of these features were standard on my above previous Camry Hybrid).
Purchased in July 2020.
Reliable and easy to use
Love my Rav 4 - bought second hand from Toyata dealer. It had done a lot of km but good service history - 80k when bought but we drove it from Mel to Perth 5 weeks after purchasing! There and back and not one hitch! Ecomonimcal to run but it is a diesel - We upgraded from a Coralla and happy we did - much more comfortable and surprisingly spacious in back seats. Body work a little light weight but all cars seem to be like that now. I agree with others the suspension is AWFUL - can't believe they got away with this for a SUV. Others brands I tri...ed were so much better in that department - but is is super reliable and I would always buy Toyota as we do long drives and I trust the brand..... Cup holders really badly positioned - get a practical woman to design them in the next model Toyota!!!
Purchased in October 2019 for A$20,000.00.
Love my rav4
I have loved my experience with my rav4. We use it for family transport, we've done a ltttle off roadinf, I cna fit sooooo much stuff in it you wouldn't believe the space inside! Lots of little storage spots and an awesome boot compartment underneath the floor of the already massive back section of the car. Love it.
Purchased in June 2018 for A$8,000.00.
A car that does its job
This is my daily driver.
Bought it just over 18 months ago, and over that time I've been getting 8.8 l/100km, which I can't really complain about. That's over a general mix of peak-hour traffic (17km each way) and easier weekend driving.
It has all the bells and whistles I need - active cruise control, AEB, rear camera, parking sensors, lane departure warning. The only thing I'd like would have been to include Apple Carplay/Android Auto. As it is I leave an iPod in the car, so all music is played off that. If I want to listen to something str...eamed, it plays via bluetooth audio from my phone without a problem. The inbuilt GPS works, but it's just easier to use it from my phone. Have been taking it back to the dealer for servicing, as it's just easier. Have been happy with them so far, and capped-price servicing makes budget planning a bit easier.

Reliable car from always reliable Toyota
Big fan of Toyota. We had to update the family car with a baby on the way so Toyota was a pretty easy choice. It’s not the most powerful car but that’s not much of an issue. Clean layout inside, knobs, buttons etc don’t feel cheap. Boot space is great (we have a big pram so it was a big consideration). Very happy with purchase
Great Vehicle with so many extras included
I had a RAV4 Cabrio back in 1997...?? when they first came on the market. I loved this vehicle. We needed to upgrade and required a larger vehicle so decided, due to our previous positive experience, to go with the RAV4 again. A great all round vehicle with so many extras included. Love the lane indicators on the side mirrors, great for when vehicles are in your blind spot. It also has a lane alarm that tells you if you are straying out of your lane, another great safety aspect. The anti dazzle rear view mirror is also great and something...i cannot do without at night. The seats are comfortable and its a great drive. My only disappointment is with the suspension. It is harder than I would have liked and not something that was really noticeable on a short test drive nor pointed out by the salesman when making our purchase. GREAT value vehicle and you cannot surpass the Toyota brand for reliability.

This medium size RAV4 Generation is highly recommended not only for everyday use but also for couple or family who loves to travel. it has spacious capacity for passengers and baggage (you can refer to my video reference to see how many travel luggage can occupy) The engine is fuel efficient even though it has huge body and carry much weight.
Furthermore, you can save a lot with regards to parts and service due to its very affordable maintenance checklist. Just follow the official or technical advice from your trusted mechanic based on th...e guidelines of this vehicle. In my experience, it cost 180 Australian Dollars last time I had it in the service station. Although we are the second owner, based on the checklist on my references I think that in the first three years of its ownership, you will just spend about 200 Dollars per maintenance schedule session.

My Rav4 is used mainly for my work related travels. Being a driver of toyota for approximately 10 years now, I was really eager to drive this car. With no doubt, it delivered my expectations. I regularly send my rav4 for a semi annual service at the toyota centre. No issues since bought and have always performed great!
2009 Toyota Rav4 Good car, But boring...
Driving the Rav4 is SOOO boring, But is great with EVERYTHING else.
Plenty of room, easy to service, great on fuel. Whether its a sort trip or long it is quite capable.
Can't go wrong with a Rav4, just not as fun to drive as some other SUV's on the market.
Love this car! drives amazing but small back seat!
i brought this car when i found out i was pregnant, i have 2 kelpies and then having a baby i wanted a big boot space for them. but have figured they like the back seat also, its easy to install my car seat with isofix but i dont think alot of cars accomodate rear facing car seats which kind of sucks especially since they can now rear face for 4 years which i will be doing, the dilemma is not enough space for the passanger. anywho, the car itself runs great, toyotas are obviously known for how good of a car they really are, the boot space is ge...nerous and i like that i can fold all the seats down for more room. overall happy with my purchase but my only downside would be the small back seats, if i were to want to have 3 kids i would need a new car as 3 car seats wouldnt fit along the back,
Unreal Car has tackled everything I've thrown at it
Have had this car for 3 years, and it is unreal. Plenty of space for surfboards, camping and everything else. I've taken it onto the sand on the beach and handles sand really well due to its relative lightness. Services are pretty cheap. Only thing is fuel economy not quite as good as I'd hoped, but is still worth it.

Good family car
Very good family car. Good on petrol and very spacious.
We have 2 kids under the age of 3 and this car is perfect for 2 car seats and a double pram in the back.
I love the leather dashboard and the keyless start button.
My wife drive is most of the time and It’s a peace of mind knowing this car is very safe for her and the kids.

I have this new RAV4 GXL CVT POST sept 2017 which has toyota safety sense pack included....few new additions to this gxl which I really love are adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, auto high low beam head lights...white LED lights( lights are simply amazing, when you are driving on freeway at night and you notice the lights of passing by vehicle, this RAV4 100% ultra white lights are treat to drive with, amazing Bluetooth integration, excellent voice on mic, people don’t complain for sound quality when you are talking...climate cont...rol is another amazing thing, folding mirrors good!!!! Inside rear view electric mirror with auto dimming, simply amazing....keyless entry awesome... In short they have packed this GXL very well What I really don’t like is engine power, may be toyota should have used 2.5L Camry engine as standard, why we have this 2L crappy engine with FWD, I don’t get it. Powered driver seat should have been standard, I had it in my basic 2008 Aurion. Auto side mirrors fold not possible with engine turn off... No 360 camera...
Purchased in November 2017 at Toyota chatswood.
I've been driving my 2004 RAV for almost a year now. I have never had a technical problem with the car and the comfort and presentation of it are to die for.
It is a practical car for both urban and off-road cruising, but it's AWD nature makes it impractical for some off-road use.
Love my Rav but room for improvement!
Overall, I love driving my Rav4. It is super comfortable, roomy on the inside without being too big on the outside, and fuel efficient. It's perfect for getting my toddler in and out of the car. Not super zippy unless you are in sport mode, but that doesn't bother me.The dashboard is a bit of a design flop because you can't see the clock or the screen if its sunny, for most of the day - so not much point to the reversing camera if you can't actually see the screen! The turning circle is really tight, which is probably good, unless you forget and are used to the wider circle of most other cars.
I assume if you are looking at this you are stalking me or looking for a cheep small reliable suv
Well you have found it, ours (and latter I will tell you why we say ours) is currently in Wangaratta Victoria having made another long journey without even the hint of letting us down. It's fridge white, with silver plastic bits and like those fridges of long time past with the rounded shoulders and chrome handles, it just can't be stopped.
I am a grandfather - congratulations you say, the RAV has been in my family since new, my parents bought it, drove it for five years, put 15,000ks on the clock and then gave it to me. I drove it f...or another five years, mostly long country driving in my commute to work in Canberra and put another 150,000ks on it. Then I ran over a wombat, had it fixed - the RAV the is, no hope for the wombat unfortunately, and gave it to my daughter. Can't say it is very tenderly cherished, but it just keeps going, like new. Now and again new tries, a wash, bit of new engine oil and some radiator stuff and on it goes. The trim is in really good shape no real signs of age, remarkable. Scratches now outnumber the unscratched bits of the duco but it lives in the bush , so that goes with the territory.
Purchased in May 2004.
I have always wanted a Rav4
I have always wanted a Rav4 since they first hit the market many years ago, so glad I finally made the move as this is a dream to drive. Plenty of room for the kids or hauling larger items, the only down side I can see is it is a little tricky to park in small bays, but not the end of the world.
Really good car
Drives really good but a bit noisy, acceleration is excellent, there's heaps of space and it also has a basket in the boot for shopping which makes it much easier to organise our stuff in the boot. the radio touch screen stopped working after two years and the windscreen cracked from nothing.
overall performance is good.
