Poor Customer Service
The store in Sumner Park never seems to have the items in stock - but they seem to get the items within an acceptable time frame. The customer service can be sometimes good and then again as bad as it gets . I would stand at the service desk - no customers and the three staff members would remain seated , stare at the computer screens and pretend I don't exist. Reluctantly one will eventually come over and serve . I ask them whether the 6 meter length of steel strut can be cut so it will fit in my car - they refuse to help. I eventually ...managed to get a hacksaw and cut the steel strut myself which took considerable effort - I have no intention to ever go to another Trade Link- considering what they charge for their goods they should offer a better service .
Acceptable product, poor service
Bought shower mixer & mixer tap. Had a warranty claim on the shower tap. Had to chase them up 3 or 4 times. 2 weeks later they admitted something went wrong and finally actually contacted the plumber to come and fix the problem.
Great service before we bought the taps, but it seemes clear they didn't care too much once we had bought the products.
Won't be going back again.
The worst product I have ever purchased
I purchased a new freestanding bath on sale from a Tradelink store. When it was delivered the box was opened, falling apart and the bath had dirt and insects in it. When I called to complain, the sales assistant put me onto the store-room manager who condescending and unhelpful. He told me they wouldn't under any circumstances accept the bath back and I was being "picky" because packaging isn't important. Well now, we've tried to install the bath and the bottom isn't level!! The bath skirt sits on an angle 2cm off the floor (which had a sli...ght fall but not by much). Despite being screwed to the floor the bath wobbles. The bath skirt also has holes on each side where it's supposed to connect! Our very experienced plumber can't believe how shoddy the product is! He has indicated Tradelink probably sold me a defective product when I was supposedly purchasing a new one.
Anna at Wollongong Tradelink
I recently went into Tradelink at Wollongong as a renovator without a clue. I looked around at the dismal showroom and was about to leave when friendly Anna came over to assist me. She listened to what I needed and said she could get a great variety of products and showed me the latest catalogues.
I had taken photos of items I like in another large bathroom shop and she not only could match their prices but beat everyone of them considerably.
Her communication skills were fantastic - she called me several times to ensure the quote and ite...ms were what I wanted. Anna went above and beyond calling suppliers and even organised a few sample swatches of the vanity laminate to ensure the colours would match my tiles. I really appreciated her assistance and was very blown away with the service I received. Thank you Anna.
Thanks to Anna at Tradelink Wollongong Store
I purchased a product from the Wollongong Store. The product was damaged when we opened the box. I would like to thank ANNA for her great customer service & professionalism. Anna was able to help us resolve the problem with the company that supplied us the goods. Thanks Anna we really appreciate your professional approach & understanding. Anna should be promoted in that store because it seems she is the only one that really cares about her customers.
I purchased a product and when I received the goods they were not what I asked for or what was described by the store. I was informed I could then return the goods for a refund, however a 20% restocking fee would be deducted from my refund! When I returned to the store they refused to refund because the box was broken and had some dirt on it! And the product seal was broken (they exact condition in which I received the item). I opened the box to inspect the goods - and when it was not what I wanted put it straight back into the box! Along with the attitude of the reception staff, I will NEVER purchase from tradelink again and I urge others to do so with caution! Disgusting.
Great Customer Service
Tradelink Bayswater Had to buy a hard to find plumbing item, we were not sure what was required for installation so the guy ran through what we needed and even went out the back to grab some extra items so he could accurately show to us what exactly what we needed to do. Thanks mate, much appreciated.
I have not dealt with this company before, having only recently come back to Australia after living in the US for many years. I went into their Caloundra trade store and picked up some flyers advertising a sale, from August to end September, of (inter alia) the "Andorra II toilet suite", in S and P-trap configurations, for a special price. I called the local retail store mid-August and they only had 7 left, all S trap, no P trap, and the only P trap in the country was at a single store 2 states away. They had never had the P-trap version during...the sale. Why do they have no stock of an item, early in a sale period? The idea is to get you into the store and then sell you a pricier alternative. It's called a "bait and switch" scam. This sort of shady practice —advertising goods for sale and then not having them in store— is illegal in the US, and can lead to hefty fines there. Here in Oz it's still legal, and I come across it a lot, e.g. Aldi. And like Aldi again, Tradelink think it's acceptable to charge a surcharge on anyone using a credit card, another offensive retail behaviour. Guess I'll stick with Reece and Bunnings for my sanitaryware needs.
Wonderful Customer Service
I am doing a home reno. and the Tradelink, plumbing supplies, Batman VIC 3058, customer service is amazing. I am just another bloke, trying to figure out stuff and these guys take their time, explain stuff, show me how it works. Its not as if I am a big sale to them (I think I am averaging about $10 per visit) but they spend the time. This isnt a "trying to find someone who knows something in bunnings" effort, these blokes know what they are talking about and are happy to recommend things that dont get them the next big sale. I highly recommend them for any plumbing product/advice.
Can not believe how responsive Trade link In Hamilton Hill have been .
Have been trying through other major plumbing services to supply a spanner for a Air rater.
They have rung twice to confirm that the will get one.Not like other suppliers who could not give a hoot because of such a inexpensive order.
I have in the past bought other products from this store with the same excellent service
Beware of their poor after sales service
Ordered an ADP Tropic bathroon vanity from Tradelink Enogerra. Initial customer service was ok, but it went down hill when the vanity we received was damaged multiple times (we returned it 3 times over 4 weeks). They're happy to take your money, but won't own issues with the products they sell you.
The damage was not Tradelinks fault, however they handled it very badly. They didn't keep us in the loop on the replacement vanities, and I had to resort to dealing with the manufacturer myself to get the solution happening. Their in-action pus...hes responsibility back to the customer. Tradelink offered to get back to us with 'compensation' for all the trouble and stress we went through, then stopped replying to my emails when I followed up on this offer. I guess it's easy to say this type of thing to appease a customer as they return a product for the third time, and even easier to ignore it later.
