Jetstar Refunded my cancelled flights and Travelonline wont pass on my Refund..
Jetstar refunded my flights in full and Travelonline won't refund my money...
Jetstar refunded my flights in full because of the Corona Virus and they cancelled my flights but Travelonline will not refund me only offering a credit online which is not suitable for my circumstances. I was traveling with my infant Grandson who I foster through DCP and 2 other people on the booking who was coming to help and the chances of us all booking together are very slim. I have been informed by DCP that I will not be able to travel overseas for some time w...ith my infant grandson. I spent 3 hours trying to get through to Jetstar and they agreed to give me a full refund and not a credit voucher. However Travelonline have now said they will not pass the refund on to me instead offering credit on file ??? What gives them the right to keep my refund.. Very disappointed and I will never book with them again..
Warning consider booking any travel with travel online
They are not looking after customers during convid 19. I’ve been told I have to wait 12 weeks for a refundable accommodation booking. I understand they have many customers affected but should be looking after the welfare of each customers situation which is different in each case.
Warning: No Flexibility with Coronavirus
I have used travelonline in the past and was happy with their deals. This time our friends and I booked a trip to Thailand. Firstly when a better deal was offered by them they refused to move me to deal, so I had to cancel original deal and lose original $100 deposit.
Secondly and the main thing I want others to be aware of is the company is showing no flexibility regarding Coronavirus. My request was if Australian or Thai government cancels flights to or from Thailand could we receive credit or refund. They said that the standard terms and c...onditions apply at the moment and can’t guarantee anything. So I cancelled our two bookings which would have been over $4500 revenue to them and the hotel and booked with another hotel in Thailand offering 100% flexibility to cancel if things change. I’d recommend you book direct with hotels or with a travel agent that is more flexible. Between our family and my friends family we have lost $300 in deposits to this company and will never recommend or use them again. 2 years ago I recommended them to 11 families who all booked through Travelonline and will passing this feedback onto them.
Staffs are not very friendly & impatient on the phone
I found that Travel online the staffs are not very friendly on the phone, I understand that they are busy, but for someone who's the first time book a holiday with them, they were very impatient. When you email them, they took a long time to reply and very unhelpful and at the end you still need to call them. However on the phone they just want to rush to finish the phone call, and didn't answer your question, i.e like changing the transfer time from airport to the resort, they keep telling me when you receive the voucher then will tell you, but nothing written on the voucher, and have to made two phone calls then finally someone tells you how to change it.
Poorly trained staff
Initial airfare quoted was incorrectly quoted by agent. We paid the extra and booked airfares and accommodation.
We then travelled as a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children). The rooms booked by the agent were not suitable for our family at both hotels. So much so, that at one hotel we had to pay an additional amount to the hotel to be placed in a suitable room type. This was very disappointing. I believe a lack of product knowledge and caring about what the customer receives at the other end led to this.

Horrible experience. The website promise price and availibility. when you book you received a confirmation email only to let you know 24 hour later that they actually don't have availability for the hotel and that the booking was only tentative. By then, you already book you airfare and you stuck with a plane ticket you can't use. When you complain they only answer is this is all written in the T&C's. So carreful if you book with Travel online, all booking are only tentative!!!
Poor service and bad booking experience!
I booked the package of Heron Island Resort on 31 May, 2019. The staff contacted me at noon time and told me the room I booked was not available. I wasn't available to talk at that time and asked her to call me back in the afternoon. Nobody contacted me until 4:00pm. I called Travelonline and the man said he'd let the girl who sent two quotes to me to call me back. But no phone calls until Monday 3 Jun and when I contacted with the centre, the price was changed to 1/3 more than the original deal. I wanted to ask about the change and the two opt...ions on 31 May but no response even I asked them to call me back. And the staff thought they've sent the emails through, it doesn't matter to them if the customers need help to make things clear. I feel very frustrated because this tour is planned by 3 families and now I couldn't make it because I couldn't afford the price. The service is really poor!
I have used travel on line for ages, I booked my wedding in fiji and book travel online on the invitation for payment options when everyone goes to book it and pay deposit no option! go through all of the website for nothing and to call them and say oh sorry because we have done our contracts yet and it will come through when the wedding is! disgusting service!!!!! will never use again
Voucher - never again!
As a gift, I received a travel online voucher and activating/using it has been very difficult - many emails and phone calls over 3 attempted bookings over months before I was able to finalise. At one stage company refused to honour the inclusion of breakfast but a package inclusive of breakfast was very clearly indicated - apology received after a few e-mails - by then the room price had risen by about the same cost as the breakfast. Beware of prices - one room had escalated by $90 in a matter of a few hours. However staff I dealt with were alw...ays polite and helpful - it is just a dreadful voucher system they are trying to deal with. The people who gave me the gift voucher felt really bad for such a gift and have apologised many times after I explained the situation. My advice - if you are contemplating a travel gift voucher do not use Travelonline
Worst travel website. Charged me $15 extra for booking my train ticket from Melbourne to Sydney. The official NSW website shows the price of ticket as $65 but travelonline.com showed the pirce for the same ticket as $79. Will never use this website again.
There is only 1 advantage to this site, the rest is ordinary
Cumbersome and mildly irritating booking process. They are a booking agent, no different to Flight Centre, so be prepared for lots of to-and-fro slow reply emails because what is advertised on their site, isn't necessarily available or for the price. They are not like Expedia and others, where it is all instant.
PRO: this site allows you to delay payment on accommodation. Can give you some breathing space between paying for flights straight away then accommodation a month before you travel.
CON: slow, back-and-forth communication. Wh...en you are booking late-ish....this is really stressful! You risk missing out on your preferred option. Their payments system is glitchy. We made full payment via Credit Card (so it's instant) - we then got approx 3-4 emails the following week saying our accommodation had not been paid for and was going to be cancelled! You ring them. They have a message service ONLY. They then ring you back when suits them. It took me nearly 2wk to sort this situation out. Meanwhile not knowing whether we would have accommodation, as no confirmation was received. I finally spoke to a manager 2wk before departure who emailed confirmation. Do not rely on their travel reviews either- they don't publish the bad ones. Stick with Trip Advisor.

advertised deals made me click the link but when i got quotations , it was never same. our travel dates was valid travel dates in package deal and they kept on saying it's school holiday so it's double the price etc...
Customer should be able to get same deals for what's advertised. they just want customers to put foot in but the advertised deal was never exist, that's how i felt
Scam!!!! Pricing increase!!!!!
After booking Garuda flights at 9am today for our honeymoon in September AND NOWHERE DID IT WARN THAT A PRICE COULD INCREASE, I was informed this afternoon that my flights have increased by over $130!!! and I was given a new price to pay. That being the case I would not have used this company. Here is a list of inconvenient changes to our honeymoon I made to suit that flight; all 3 of our accommodations booked and paid for had to be changed by a day as the flight was the cheapest on line. Furthermore one accommodation cannot be changed again so...we are now stuck for those dates. Had I known this flight did not exist at this price I would not have changed my dates and I just would have left all 3 bookings as they were! We have also had to inform our managers that our holidays are a day later now and this also organised with pay office. I went from telling all our family and friends our honeymoon is booked and how fantastic a deal we got to absolute deflation and disappointment. I begged customer service to please honour this for us as it is our honeymoon and I was put on hold and then told it was not possible but I could fly on a cheaper airline, Malindo. To say this is not good enough is an understatement and I felt as though the most important time in our lives has been completely ruined by a total pricing scam. And to think this company was recommended to me. I will spread the news FAR AND VERY WIDE on every social media platform I can. If you want your wedding and honeymoon plans completely RUINED then use Travel Online. Thanks for the tears today.
Disappointing service while a lovely agent was on leave
I called before booking my holiday as I wanted to ensure my selections were correct, I was told everything was correct and to go ahead and book online. I book the $18k holiday and then am called straight away to be told the booking is incorrect, the rooms I’ve selected don’t interconnect. I have been to the resort before and know they do. The agent was condescending and unhelpful. She told me she could book different rooms, but it would then cost $22k.

We booked 2 days before staying at a local hotel took a credit card details as everything was ok about the room then they tell has it has been booked out a night before by email , so i phone the hotel myself and they told me it has been booked out for sometime . plus are they giving us the right price where everyone is about $150.00 more on all other booking sites ,plus why can't they tell us up straight away if the room is booked out rather going down that path of booking a room so you guys stuffed up our weekend thank you !
Booked flights and accommodation via phone as we wanted two different hotels in the same country. They took my credit card details and said confirmation will be within 24hrs. 3 days past. I tried calling the agent and left several messages. No reply. I wrote emails. No reply. Finally on day 4 they called me back to say the accommodation was not available. So then i changed the hotel as the agent said this one had room and that he would confirm with me within an hour. 24 hours past, no confirmation. I called, left message for agent who didnt ret...urn my call. I sent him an email, no reply. By now the flights had gone up in price by over $500 and i couldnt do anything but wait as they already had my credit card details for payment. The agent called back on the 2nd day to tell me the accommodation was not available, i told him to cancel it all together and i would book it all myself. I went to book it myself (the accommodation WAS available when i enquired directly at the resorts) however it was almost double the cost from when i initially looked on the hotels website! I called and complained to a manager, who thankfully apologised and booked it all on their end at the first agreed price (THANK YOU). It was the WORST holiday booking experience ever. Took almost two weeks to book and a lot of wasted time. Never again and i would never recommend them. Their 24 hour confirmation is rubbish and you cannot get in contact with anyone for answers.
Worst Travel Company We Have Ever Used
They try adding on extras on the website and then deny they do this. We had read a few negatives comments about them and should have listened to the other people's warnings.
Perfect Short Breaks Not
Like all the others still waiting for my vouchers. When I ring up only get voice mail and they don’t ring back. Look like things started going bad at the end of March going by the reviews. It a scam don’t fall for it I don’t think they are the same people that were running it before. I want my money back.
They just didn't listen
We went on a family trip to Fiji, needed a few nights on the mainland before going to an island. We asked for a recommendation and were very specific about our tastes (in particular about food). The resort they recommended had AWFUL food. There were other ares in which it was disappointing, and overall it simply wasn't anything like what we described we wanted. Had they actually listened to us, they could never have recommended such a place. Then when we gave them feedback they claimed that the consultant no longer works for them. Following tha...t, we received an email from the very same consultant. She still seems to have her job... We also left a message for the manager, who didn't respond. Anyhoo, they simply weren't interested when we booked nor after the event.
Very sad a ticket that cost $554. End up grabbing $750 from my account and when i tried to call the number provided as a 24/7 never worked. Please explain ..
Cheap deals equals cheap service
The worst travel agency to deal with. If your happy with waiting for answers, emails and phone calls when it suits them then go for it! If there is an issue they won’t get back to you in a hurry!! Quick at taking your money but not good at doing their job ! Cheap deals equals cheap quality service!! Booked a holiday had to change flights paid an extra $1400 but itinerary and tickets were not updated money was taken though wasn’t it ? So I’m left with what ? Flights the have already

Lack of communication
I booked an overseas holiday for me and my family, could not get my agent to respond to emails or phonecalls not really what you want when out laying that sort of money without knowing whats going on.

Completely lacking any expert advice
I tried to book a trip to Fiji. I asked for advice on which resort from a shortlist of six would suit our group and the only reply I got was three separate emails with three separate generic quotes. No recommendation on which resort as requested. (One of the resort wasn’t even on our list). I asked for advice on which resort would suit us and there was no reply. I explained that I hadn’t been to Fiji and I was looking for expert advice, which they promoted themselves at providing. The quotes I got were from the big resorts on our shortlist so I can only assume they send my quotes for the resorts they get commission from??
Customer services was not good
Online advertise is different than in person. False statements, online site says breakfast included and they were saying not included. Seems not bothered how customer will be feeling. No sorry etc.

Return flights to Norfolk I booked on line It was not till I went to down load my eticket that I found out no luggage had been booked for the outward flight, but booked on the home flight. The price was not very much different from any other booking centre and they all included checked in luggage to 23kg.When I rang I was told that travel online does'nt know what is included and they say check with your travel agent regarding luggage. Well I booked 3 return flights to Norfolk a duration of 12days with Travel Online and would book no luggage on ...the outward flight but 23kg on the return, doesn.t say much for the travel company.. The experience was dreadful to say the least and I would never book with Travel online again. If I had not downloaded my eticket when I did myself and two companion would have had to pay over $100 at the airport
