Faulty rug not willing to repair after one month old
Purchased a rug from Trit House which started to fall apart after one month of use. Emailed the store to request a repair. The only thing they offered was a name of a repairer and also suggested I google search for a rug repair place. The rug was clearly a faulty product which Trit House refused to repair based on the fact it was floor stock. I wasn't asking for a refund or a replacement, I was simply asking for a repair and I don't feel It is the consumers right to pay for the repair of a faulty rug. I therefore do not recommend this company to anyone.
- Physical store
Don't buy from here. We purchased 6 walnut and leather chairs but received the wrong (or faulty) colour and they refused to take them back.
That was despite numerous phone calls and emails and they didn't offer any other practical solutions. The website clearly showed a gloss black leather and we received grey. We sent comparative pictures (attached) but they denied any difference and eventually hung up on us.
We regret doing business with Trit and tried to contact consumer affairs but they have been inundated with complaints during covid, so the process took too long and we gave up.
Worst experience for a long time
Ordered a sofa months ago and still waiting. Todd at the melbourne store is the most condescending person i have dealt with in a very long time with his “well it is what it is attitude”.
Got a call to tell me the sofa was in their warehouse weeks ago and according to the sales person, it has to be paid THAT DAY in order to get delivery booked in. Weeks passed and i called the delivery company who told me that they have never has my delivery booked in. They also confirmed that they had been to trit house several times over that time and had come...
Sonder Trit House - Bad Customer Service and Average Product
We visited the Redfern store and selected the Sonder 3 seater sofa. We were told it would take 12-14 weeks to be made, however this blew out to 4 months due to Christmas which was understandable. The delivery process was smooth, however once in situ we noticed the cushions were deflated and there didn't seem to be enough stuffing. I reached out to the Trit team who were unhelpful and arrogant to say the least and took no action to rectify when we asked if the cushions could be restuffed. Photos attached, one from the store and 3 from the week the sofa was delivered. Would have been happier with a Freedom couch. Shame.
BUYER BEWARE - The short version of our experience.
My wife and I purchased 12 items through these guys, worth a substantial $. And I can assure you the trouble started before we paid them, we absolutely should have run a million miles in the other direction. The quoted as $1000 for delivery at the last minute when we asked for an invoice to pay them. No mention of this $1000 delivery charge in the 2 months prior while we were finalising our order. (we are in Sydney, their warehouse in in Melbourne it was obvious that these good would need de...livery) Then we paid, and only AFTER we paid they made us aware the ETA's on the invoice are into Port Melbourne. So in reality the ETA could be upto a week after this to their warehouse. Delivery is sorted by them, and we get an e-mail stating delivery could take anywhere from 4 - 18 WORKING DAYS so potentially 4 weeks. You get this e-mail even if you have made specific arrangements for delivery. The delivery company, then sends you text messages for the delivery date and it changes to suit them, even if you have made arrangements with Trit House for specific dates and times they don't pass it on to the delivery company. Delivery company all in all is good however, it's the information they are passed that is the problem. If you get a faulty item, they will agree to swap it over (well they did in our instance), you then have to go through the entire disaster of sorting delivery AGAIN. On this occasion we are given a date, it then changes a day later because there was a miscommunication, you then wait around for the 3 hours given and when no one arrives you send an email asking what is happening. Within minutes you receive a text message stating that delivery is now SEVEN days later! When you bother to let them know of your dissatisfaction, in the first instance you will get insincere passive aggressive emails back. When you take it further, you will get all the apologies in the world that are simply hot air. The e-mail I received from their showroom manager had all the right things written in it, but then only days later the same things happen AGAIN.
VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE
I purchased a rug from Clickon in Dec 2018 and received it on Monday 29 April 2019 - 4 months later.
I had to constantly contact Clickon to ask where the rug was and how long delivery would take . Intially I was told January ...then February ....then March ....finally April. When I received confirmation that the rug had arrived I had to ring yet another number to book in delivery . When I attempted to do this I was told ..."sorry there's no more room on the truck ." After waiting 4 months I seriously thought my rug would be a priority !! But ...
Very disappointed with our entire experience with Clickon Furniture. From the delayed delivery time of table, which at time of online purchase was not stated.
Once received, the table has a crack in it, to which Clickon Furniture now refuses to replace or remedy. We are told to see how the crack goes as we've a 1yr warranty on the table. That's absolutely unacceptable. For an expensive table that we were so looking forward to having and using, we are now frightful of using at all as not to have the crack expand any further. I have never experienced such bad customer service and I work in the retail industry.
Will be ensuring that we do not recommend this store to friends, family and customers.
Clickon should review there service package!
Click-on Furniture supplied a Julia bed. The packaging was backyardish with a stick on A4 page that said the company name. Two of the packages contained dust and litter. No assembly instructions. Had to contact them on 5 occasions to get missing parts, such as correct size legs and missing nuts and washers.
As they only on-sell and not manufacture they feel no responsibility!
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. We were lied to by in store staff and then by customer service over the phone. Was astonishing. Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Terrible customer service, faulty product... avoid!
I ordered a desk and dining table from their website. The desk was faulty and could not be assembled. They sent a replacement desk and the delivery people were meant to assemble it. Not only were the delivery people extremely rude and stank very strongly of body odor, but they also failed to put part of the desk together and left with the necessary parts (presumably threw them out with the packaging). I contacted Clickon to let them know the parts were missing and they said they will send replacements in 3 to 5 business days. 8 days later and n...othing so I email them and they now tell me the replacement parts are out of stock and I will have to wait for them to come back into stock. No one takes any responsibility, they haven't apologized except to say 'sorry for the inconvenience' regarding the delay in the replacement parts. Their items are not cheap so you'd at least expect a decent level of customer service but this is not the case. Avoid this company!
Unprofessional company with poor after sales service - buy at your own risk
Our experience echoes others here that have found the after sales service to be poor. We purchased an entertainment unit online which was faulty. Although the initial delivery of the product and correspondences were relatively quick and easy, what transpired was the most unprofessional after sales service I've ever received. The situation was escalated to a more senior member of the company and instead of dealing with it with level-headedness, we were shocked to find the emails were quite passive aggressive and were extremely patronising toward...s us. We felt our concerns were not addressed and we were extremely alarmed by their dismissive attitude. Needless to say, we were highly traumatised by the experience. Although we were initially promised a measly discount as remediation, it was not refunded to us in a timely manner and to our expectation. We reported the company's conduct to the department of Fair Trading and although I did not expect any further action to be taken by Fair Trading, I reported them simply as a matter of principle. I encourage others who have any issues with their conduct and have grounds to do so, to do the same. Fair Trading do keep tabs on complaints and will investigate further if enough complaints are received. I'm sure it's all fine if you don't have any problems with the product, however if there are ever any major issues, one word: BEWARE.
Fabulous products. Non existant customer service once a product has been purchased. Disregard for existing customers when there is a problem with shipment and delivery. I won't purchase from here again. I will not recommend this company to others.
Floating Shelf Nightmare
Had previously bought $6680 worth of beautiful furniture for my new build rumpus. Very happy.
Was prompted online to use loyalty points before they expired and subsequently quickly bought a shelf to match my furniture to install later. When it arrived I found the shelf was extremely heavy and it's fixing brackets to be wider than normal Australian studs. My studs are approx 4cm wide and the brackets are 8cm wide so they miss the studs on either side. I consulted two separate trades who said even with wall toggles for plaster, they couldn't ...
Poor customer service and product quality!
Bought two sideboards from this store. Both were delivered faulty/damaged. Advised store of issue only to be met with absolute rudeness. Staff laughed when we were explaining the issue and showed no care whatsoever. Staff advised that due to the products being "hand made" they can't guarantee the quality of said products. Both products were in the range of $1500-$2000 each. Be cautious when dealing with this company. They're not worth the loss of your time or your money.
Worst furniture store in Melbourne, Don't go there!!!!
Went to their Fitzroy store. Terrible service. Staff could not be bothered. Hard to extract them from the service desk. Very misleading. There were no signs in the store or warning from staff regarding their limited exchange policy. Read the fine print before you buy!!!
