They have lost my business.
I do a lot of kms and have had my car since new. Extended warranty. Always had it serviced with Tynans Sutherland until now. Over a year ago my radio unit was playing up. Multiple software updates and supposed fixes carried out to no avail. Finally agreed to replace the unit. Due to Covid-19 and a few other issues the new unit has been delayed. I try to book it in to get it replaced. Two weeks notice. They tell me I need to get a software update and that my vehicle is out of warranty. I was told I had a five year warranty when the new unit was ...ordered. Anyway, talking to the service staff got heated and they hung up because I called him out. I was also charged for items on a previous service that don’t exist on my car. They also fail to give printed copies or even electronic copies of the invoice. I can see why they are called a Stealership not a dealership. I will contact Subaru Australia to make a formal complaint. Absolutely disgusting service.

No Tynan Service
Had to book a month ahead to get a dangerous factory recall repaired for my Kia Stinger. I received the sms reminder the day before and turned up on time in the morning to immediately be told that the dealership had run out of parts with no real apology . It had now been a couple of weeks with no update calls received. I provided feedback to the Marketing Director via the company website email with no response.
Will never return to Hyundai or Tynan
A company that deceives to make a sale and lies constantly when you talk to management run you around in circles please be very very careful, car dealerships like this are very dangerous.
After speaking with Hyundai and making a formal complaint not getting anywhere so I’m left to go to another make. Will never purchase from Tynan or Hyundai again DYOR

Tynan Motors.. you are a disgrace!!!!!. I bought 4 x LDV Vans from you. All 4 Vans have failed and I am getting NO ASSISTANCE from you, other than dragging out the repairs. Im paying for a loan Van.. have been without a van for months. Quick to take your money, then hopeless after sales service. We need a loan van!!!! Call me with a solution.
Incompetent disgraceful dealership - shame shame shame
This dealership is the worst by far I have ever dealt with. Their service dep't and management are a disgrace to the car industry. I have taken my car there over 5 times for the same issue, yet no parts ordered & cant do the work. They all blame each other and eventually the guy who doesn't work there anymore. They give all the reputable brands they sell a bad name by providing dirt poor service. [Name Removed] must be turning in his grave seeing such incompetence. I will not be buying any brands they sell just so that I don't come across these morons ever again. Shame on you lot absolutely disorganized organization.
Unprofessional service department
First my new honda had a drivers door adjustment refused the car was under dealers warranty had get honda Australia involved then as the car aged I requested a pink slip when they did a service picked up the car no plink slip they said it needed new tyres as I checked all tyres before the service I asked to be shown were the tyres were not legal no one could could show me as I drove out I drove past a sandwich board saying buy tynan tyres I then took my car to a tyre dealer and said if you the they need changing do all of them the answer was they still had 50’000 klm on them. I would never recommend this dishonest car dealer
The cars at this dealership seemed to be good quality however I had a terrible experience with the dealer who was trying to sell me a hatchback. I nearly went through with the purchase, but when we told him we would purchase the car, he was smirking and I immediately felt this was the wrong choice so we Changed our mind as we knew by Hueys reaction we were not getting a good deal.
Jeep Cherokee limited - Kirrawee service department disgusting customer service
My vehicle wouldn't start and I had to have it towed to Tynan Kirrawee Service Dept. I was told it would take 6-8wks for the part to arrive from the United States. During that waiting period I emailed the service department numerous times requesting them to reply to my questions - eg. what part number had they ordered, so that I could include that in my email to Jeep Australia, where I wanted to complain about my vehicle breaking down due to a probable WIFI problem, and the fact that I was told it would cost over $2,000 to get the part before...the service dep't could work out the problem with my vehicle. Also that they couldn't say it wouldn't happen again in the future. During the 8week period I also needed the service department to give me some updates as to progress with the part arriving, because my family was also effected by my vehicle being off the road as far as school pickups etc. having to be rearranged for this long period. When I did not get any response from anyone from the service department, I contacted the salesman at Tynans who initially sold us the vehicle. He acknowledged in a return email that the communication had been lacking from the Service Dept. and that he would forward my email to the Service Manager. I thought I would hear back from the Service Manager at least, but 2week later still no reply, so I emailed both the Service Manager and the Salesman again - still no replies from either one. After the 8th week my wife went in to the service department to try to get some answers and was told that the car had been ready to be picked up for 2 days, and why hadn't I replied to the text sent (We checked both our phones and there was no text). As I had previously requested the part number required to be given to me, a couple of times, after collecting my car I emailed my disgust with the service I had received, and questioned whether I had in fact had the part installed in my car at all - still no response from the Service department or the Salesman. About 4 days later driving along with smoke billowing out of the engine, discovered that the coolant cap had been left off. Back to the service department again to have them check for any damage caused. I have to acknowledge a receptionist in the service department - [Name Removed] - was the first person my wife and I felt was willing to go out of her way to help/organise things and show some concern. Who knows if there is any long term effect from the overheating coolant. No apology either. I even had to insist on some paperwork to say what they done to check the car. Also this time they actually offered a loan car but neglected to inform my wife until she asked that there would be up to $3,000 excess charge if there was any damage to the vehicle. This offer would have been more appreciated during the 8weeks of having no vehicle (without the large excess charge - fair enough if a smaller excess was charged if we were at fault) due to this being a WIFI problem with this model vehicle. Buyers/Users Beware of this company

Wanted to UPGRADE my booking, staff literally threatened and ridiculed me over the phone. Never going back again. Just not customer friendly.

Would be zero if it could be
Bought a new Mercedes Viano off Tynan Mercedes Miranda back in 2015. The thing was a complete lemon and constantly in the shop for a litany of issues. Tynan Mercedes were generally slow and communicated poorly during these multiple instances. Despite our misgivings (we thought about trading it in but the thing had more than halved in value in 3 years) we stumped up for an extended warranty for another two years after the pitiful 3 year manufacturers warranty expired.
Just prior to Easter 2018 we got the vehicle serviced and Tynan had a complet...e noob do the job who put BOTH the engine and transmission guard back on incorrectly (no washers). The engine guard partially came off (both front attachments pulled through the plastic) during a holiday in 2018 down the coast and I had to find an independent to put it back on. Next day the transmission guard fell right off. Tynan didn't want to know a thing about it and claimed we had "hit something with it". Having never had a guard fall off in 20+ years of driving I knew this was complete B.S. The service manager was rude to my wife and dishonestly claimed they didn't do the service in question when we had a service log book to that effect that also showed we had serviced it faithfully with them for over three years. Despite it being their error they wanted to charge us full freight to replace the damaged guards. The dealer principal at Tynan Mercedes Miranda didn't want to hear about it either and backed her incompetent and dishonest service staff. She then got defensive when I quite appropriately said I would take it to Mercedes Australia and make a formal complaint about their appalling service standards. Having no luck with them either ("it's the dealers call") I traded the lemon in for a VW Multivan (has been VERY reliable) at McGrath Sutherland Volkswagen (a great dealer group). I get my Honda serviced at Collins Honda in Banksia (terrific dealer again) rather than go to Tynan Honda in Kirrawee (bought a car off them at the beginning of 2018). Tynan Motors put all their efforts into a slick sales effort. They don't appear to give a damn about after sales customer service. They appear to trade off the reputation the business had when the late patriarch was running the thing. The current generation appear to only care about money. I will never again give a red cent of my money to a Tynan dealership and I wouldn't recommend anybody else to either!
Only giving one star because there's no zero star option
I could probably write a book with all the adversities I had with Tynan Motors. I bought a car with them 2.5 years ago and had at least 5 very disappointing episodes. Basically, servicing your car with Tynan Motors is absolutely unreliable, neglecting, unfair, overpriced option unless you want to be part of their scam. Moreover, the administrative staff is not helpful at all for solving client's issues as they don't care about the image of the company. It was a big mistake making a deal with them, what is confirmed by the majority of bad reviews given by other clients to Tynan. Very upsetting.
What a farce
The service from sales was first rate. Thats where it stops. My car was damaged at service centre requiring me to pay almost $1000. I was almost in a collision at the service centre with a tynan employee speeding out of the entrance, then was verbally abused almost to a point of physicality. I will never be back to Tynans ever
