Bought new blinds before selling my house. The new owners told me the blinds weren't working. Ublinds told me that the warranty was void because I no longer owned the house. Ridiculous

Be afraid people and stay clear of U-Blinds. If you want quality, value for money, good customer service and a stress free experience DO NOT call U-Blinds.
After placing our order (178993) on 26 March 21, We are still awaiting the installation of our Shutters. They have been paid for in full for some months now (over $5k) and have even been partially installed on the 21 May but we have 3 shutters still in boxes left untouched in our garage , 1 Still Undelivered and 7 with fitting incomplete.
Not to mention that those partially installed do not...

Awfulness doesn’t describe this experience we have had. Still waiting for blinds, was told made locally but made in China. Security screens are the worst I’ve ever seen. Service is terrible. Avoid at all cost

This is the worst company experience and I would never use or recommend this company to anyone.
We received an extremely poor quality product and service from this company. I haven't seen incompetence at this level for a very long time. The director of the company was incredibly rude and arrogant to deal with which makes sense given how poorly these guys have managed things with us. Simply disgraceful.
Months of delays and cancelled appointments. They organised times to be on site and missed them leaving other 3rd party companies...disappointed on multiple occasions. They have wasted days of our time and caused significant stress and still haven't installed the system correctly with the motor now on the wrong side despite being advised by the electrician. Embarrassing. Should never have recommended an awning in such a dangerous and windy location just to get the work only to then tell us it's not a suitable location after installing it.

Can't recommend enough that you stay clear of this company. All you need to do is review their google reviews. It says it all.
Extremely poor service
In 15 years of doing home renovations I have never come across a more incompetent company & contractors, at no single stage in dealing with these people was there any level of professionalism or service provided. We now have all our blinds finally fitted after 3 attempts & I am currently going back & patching all the drill holes left behind by the installer-no wonder they require full payment prior to installation!
Only wish I had read the reviews first before dealing with this company-if I could given them a negative 5 stars I would!

Poor Customer service unsatisfied with product
Went through ublinds for our rental property. Had the measure and quote and was happy with that so went ahead. Was advised within 2 1/2 weeks products were ready which was great and installer would be in contact within 24 hours. He did not contact me I had to contact him to follow up. Made a time with installer for a Saturday to install which he did not show up to. He did not ring to cancel the appointment I had to chase him up several times to find out why he hadn’t showed up. Made another time for installation which he attended late without a...phone call to advise us of but 2 blinds not measured correctly so had to be redone was advised would be done within the week. After several phone call to customer service the following week was advised installer would call to arrange a time which he did not. Had to call again the following week as still no phone call. Eventually have had the other blinds installed but am unhappy with how they look and even more unhappy with the customer service from this company. They always said they would call back or follow up and never did. Would not use again!
I waited 4 months for 3 blinds to be installed. Called multiple times to cancel the order and request a refund of deposit due to lack of service and never received a call back. Blinds were finally installed this week - extremely poor quality for the price and definitely poor service. I will be replacing them. It was a waste of money and time. Very disappointing.
This company from the top to the bottom lacks any honesty and integrity. Formerly Premier Blinds, they have changed names in likely to protect their past but the poison hasn't stopped dripping from the top. I've had a 12 month battle putting up with faults, unsuccessful installations, poor management, poor planning, horrible customer service, to end up with an installation that is not fit for purpose and now they are threatening to sue me! Oh the irony.. Please keep an eye out for what their new name will be once this entity gets too tarnished as well. Cowboys to be avoided at all costs. Absolutely disgraceful and the ACCC should immediately consider suspending Chris Ralph from ever being a director of another company again.

Contacted service department re problems with my blinds told by service department “go online “ sent text to sales manager no reply from him sent email reply was they would have someone contact me and look at them that was over 2 weeks ago very disappointed in after sales service or lack there of seems once they have your money that’s it
Do not touch them
On 18th Sept 2020 I ordered blinds and shutters from ublinds. The contract was that the blinds would take 3-4 weeks and the shutters 6-8 weeks to make.
On 5th Nov the blinds were installed. Please note I had to pay up front before the installation guy would install them. Now I know why. Incidentally the installation person said he was a contractor for ublinds and was only following instructions from them. I found out later this was a lie, he is employed directly by ublinds
I pointed out at installation that the panel blind was not blacko...ut as I had specified, there were at least 1cm gaps down each side of the blind. Installer stated he would contact their office and their representative to find a solution. This was a lie, he did no such thing. On the 10th November I rang their salesman and he said he would visit and find a solution for me. He said he would cut a slit in my skirting board in order to make the blind more blackout. How is this a solution? Incidentally this is still not fixed. On 22nd Dec 2020 my shutters were finally installed. Next day I realised two blades on one shutter were broken. I immediately rang ublinds and they sent their rep again. He promised it could be fixed by their permanent employee installer.
Awful planning and execution; Service that was way below expectation
I do not normally write reviews but this one is a stunner forcing me to find some time to do this. I paid well over $20000 to get shutters installed at my home with the promise of design, supply and installation with structural warranty for 25 years. Since installation of the shutters I had nothing but trouble in the most used area of my house with the shutters coming off the top trail and bottom trail at various places. I had the shutters hanging by the thread but they would not make it a priority to sort it out. I waited for at least four months before they paid a visit to look into it and not for the first time.
Overall, not a good quality product and awful post sale service. Would not recommend at all.
No after sales service - Melbourne. Still waiting for faulty blind to be fixed & missing parts.
UBlinds do not want to rectify shoddy installation- make excuses. Love to support Aust made but not rip off artists
No after sales service
My order was worth over $5000 for day/night blinds. When they were installed on 31/7/20 they looked great. Three months later 25% of the width of the material on one of the day blinds had separated from the roller. I found it had not been pinched into the roller, just glued. This blind had never been raised or lowered since installation. A month later I found the material from another day blind on the floor, having fully separated from it's roller. I contacted u blinds 30/11/20 & was asked to complete an online form, which was done same day. Ne...xt day I received an email advising they would be in touch within 24 hours. 72 hours later I called them having heard nothing. [Name Removed] told me they had been directed to concentrate on new installations pre-Christmas and I could not expect any service until some time next January. U blinds you have my money & I do not have a product fit for purpose!!! Get your act together and face your obligations. I am not going anywhere other than to Consumer Affairs if this issue is not resolved immediately.
If I had my time again I would have chosen a different company. If zero stars was an option I would have chosen that. The list of woes include: failure to turn up to scheduled appointments multiple times, broken shutters installed after taking 50% payment, losing blinds in the warehouse, poorly fitting shutters following replacement under warranty, shutters requiring replacement after 2 years because they don’t close properly, losing my warranty claim in the system, poor communication. Never again! Spend a bit more and go elsewhere. Five stars though for being the worst company I have ever dealt with.
Questions & Answers
Shutters ordered & 50% deposit paid on March 18, 2020 for our apartment on Chevron Island. Rep Kerry Knight said Shutters were in stock but in containers & expected installation in 6-8 weeks. 4 weeks already gone bye & we have been unable to contact anyone to get an update. Please respond
