Blinds ordered 3rd November,could not get powder coated frames, delivered wrong ones, All we get is
Is this company on the verge of collapse. As a follow up to Rick on 8th Jan., this company is running full page ads for a 1/2 price sale when they cannot deliver the goods already on order. Mind you, the sales person was very prompt when we called for a quote. That was the end of the service.They could not provide the powder coated frames, offered us anodised which did not suit, then came around with the wrong colour. You cannot talk to anyone, they have a message service. WE have spoken to Lisa the Manager, all we get are lies. Phone calls are not returned.
We are seeking legal advice.
Not happy at all with our blinds or service and would not recommend to anyone.
After getting several quotes for our whole house U Blinds did come in cheaper by far so we went ahead and ordered. We were disgusted at the flimsy quality of the blinds once they were fitted and the finger marks all over the blinds from the factory obviously where they came from. The colour was not what we thought it should be when we ordered. The man who did our measure and quote and then fitted the blinds did not consult with us about the length of the blind cords which are ridiculously short and hard to pull up and put down and also the side...of the windows he fitted the cords - a lot which don't make sense. Yes we did ring the company and complain about everything I've mentioned and did speak to the man who quoted and fitted and he was extremely rude and aggressive so we decided with his nasty attitude we didn't want him back in our house. We are very disappointed and wish we had paid the extra and gone with someone else as we should have realised you get what you pay for and in this case we now have to live with a houseful of poor quality crappy blinds. Not happy at all so heads up people don't use this company.

I have never seen so many full page ads for a special limited period discount offer and what a waste of time when nobody follows up your enquiry, I assume the company is so busy they don't care, just remember poor service gets peoples back up and they will certainly pass on their opinion to many others, I guess my order is in the vicinity of $10000 to $15000 dollars all up, tough luckzip
Don’t believe their promises
Ordered 3 outdoor awnings in early November with guaranteed installation before Xmas - 4-5 weeks. Started calling them 3 weeks before Xmas & told awnings in transit & delivery expected in a few days. Long story short they then said they had been lost in transit for 2 weeks and would still be installed before Xmas. Installer called & booked install for Friday before Xmas so I was happy with that. He turned up & it started to rain & he also advised that it was a 2 man job & he couldn’t do it on his own!!!! He couldn’t get out of there quick enoug...h & rain stopped 5 minutes after he left. Arranged another install date for Thur after Xmas. I had to text him to confirm he was coming & approx time to expect him. He couldn’t make it as he had to babysit his kids. Told him to bring them with him & he then said its a 2 man job & he can’t install on his own! Booked again for Tue after New Year so let’s see if they get fitted. I could have purchased same product cheaper but guaranteed install before Xmas was reason I went with Ublinds - customer service is non existent & I had to continually call them for updates - full of excuses, full of promises that they don’t deliver on. I will cancel the order if they are not installed on 2/01/18.

The co advertised their product guaranteed before xmas i started ringing two weeks before and they kept telling me they would ring me back, i had to ring them, 15th i forward an email to u blinds they replied by confirming that installation would be on 24th December 11-12 i had to ring them Friday before, so i rang they confirmed installation between 1-3pm i received a phone call 4.00 stating they cannot do it they ran out of time. This company made sure that i had difficulty going to my daughters place for Christmas as i told them and they lef...t i to the last minute to inform me they were not doing the guaranteed work they made me sit here all day waiting knowing full well i had arranged my Christmas they also arranged for cash, so they also knew i had a large amount of money at home. February 26th 2018 Update: Further to my review I finally got my blinds fitted 14/2/2018 after one had 3 dints in it and 3 the capping was scratched these were guaranteed for before Christmas this company does not provide any customer service and the only reason that i had my blinds fully installed in the end was that i rang my service provider to reverse the bankcard balance of payment, they told me exactly what to say in my email to Ublinds so if you are dealing with Ublinds pay by bankcard and if they don't fulfill their agreement ring your provider and reserve the payment and watch how they react.

shutters ordered for summer August 3, still waiting wont refund
I ordered my shutters August 3 2017 to shut out the sun in summer. They arrived Oct 12 , 1 lot was fine the others didn't fit. They were taken back to be resupplied later and arrived back for installation Dec 4, once again they did not fit and were taken back for another fitter to install. He came last week and found they needed to be remade. I spoke with the installation Manager [name removed] and asked for the overall Manager to call me. He didn't call. I spoke with my family and decided that as the shutters would not be here for summer, I wo...uld install something else and emailed U Blinds and asked for my deposit of $1484.50 to be refunded. I was called by [name removed] in the office December 13 2017, who said the blinds were now in the production line and refused to refund. She advised they would be here in January. It has taken more than 8 weeks between each installation meaning that the earliest they would arrive would be Feb 1. I would not have my shutters for summer. I advised that I would complain to Fair Trading and would also go on line so that people could be made aware that when the company has your money, they will not refund, even when they are at fault, even though they have taken many months and do not care how much inconvenience they cause. I would not recommend this company at all .....consider this....ordered August 3 2017, December 14 today and a future supply date of approx. February 2018 no shutters for summer...
Do Not Use This Company
On or about July 2016 my partner and I received a written quote from [name removed] (Gold Coast) to install/fit shutters.
His quote was higher than others, however he seemed to have very good knowledge in relation to the installation and product. We decided to go with UBlinds as we did not want to be disappointed with the end result, regardless them being the most expensive.
On this day we paid a deposit, which was half the cost of the shutters. The total price of the shutters was $6,500. We thought this was a bit odd, considering they w...ere offering 2 for 1 deal. Needless to say, we trusted [name removed] and the company. Worst mistake... To cut a very long and painful story short, our blinds were installed approximately September. The window shutters were perfect; however, the sliding door shutters were an absolute dogs breakfast.
Worst service ever, won’t fix shutters we have and still have not delivered the other shutters
DO NOT GO THROUGH THIS COMPANY! Won’t fix my parents shutters that don’t close properly and we are still waiting on the other half of the houses shutters 6 months later. Service is disgusting! Won’t fix the ones that we already have WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY EVER

If I could tear down the blinds & get a full $10k refund, I would do it & start again with another company.
Never, ever, ever use this company. They will take your money and not finish the job. They never return your phone calls or keep appointments. Never, ever use them.
I have never experienced such a low level of customer service in my life as I have recently with UBlinds. The way I have been treated as a customer (paying good money by the way) is absolutely appalling. If I would have read these reviews in advance, I think I could’ve sa...ved myself the stress & hassle. It is a HUGE red flag, reading these reviews & the official responses from UBlinds! They can’t help themselves but to blame all of their internal deficiencies on their customers – absolutely disgusting behavior. I had a rep from this company come to my house and quote for over 20 roller blinds so a substantial order I would've thought and after receiving nothing after 4 days decided to follow it up. I spoke to a woman who said she'd chase up the rep for the quote -that was about 10 days ago and I haven't heard a thing so have chosen the other quote I got. This company is terrible! Don't waste your time with them - I can understand why businesses go broke if this is how they operate.
Wow where do we start ! First ordered the plant aion shutters in june , Sunday paper " buy 1 get 1 free "!lol how funny cause that was not the case . But any way went with the quote because seemed reasonable for the amount of widow we had to cover . Paid $2500 to secure the fit and had to pay $2500 before installation " now I know why " . Had the shutters installed , did not have enough track to complete the job , so shutters won't close properly , they keep popping open , need two people to close them . Not once has any one returned our call ...since June , accept for today to let us know it could at least another two weeks . So not happy at all , would never ever recommend this company to any one . If it's not fixed by next week will be going to fair trading to get our money back and can go with a co that can deliver what they say they can !!
Don't waste your time
For three weeks I've been contacting this company to organise someone to come give me a quote. I have left several messages with the receptionist and no one EVER RETURNS my calls. I have lost count how many times I've had to ring up and explain my self that I'm still waiting for someone to return my call. The lady tells me every time she will forward my details on and someone will call me with in a few hours and as usual no one ever calls. I'm over it I'm not going to waste my time anymore, their buy one get one free special isn't even worth the free shutters for how bad their customer service is. I would rather pay a well known company a full amount and get my entire house done then deal with these time wasters again!!!!!!!!!
what a rip off
I order a couple of roller shutters off U Blinds Australia and payed 50% deposit and when they came to install them they wanted to be payed up front. I said no to this and said i would pay them when they had finished the job and i was happy with their work. They said no to this and got in their car and left. This is why no one should ever pay a deposit for anything.I was going to get another quote for 2 more roller shutters but that's their lost.

Abysmal. Wish we'd never heard of them.
In early March 2016 a Sales rep came to our place to quote on plantation shutters. We were promised they would be installed in "4 to 6 weeks", which suited us perfectly since my wife was due with our first child at the end of April. Once we paid the deposit, we only managed to speak to the rep once or twice when we started to chase him up regarding installation.
The short version of the story is they sent about 5 or 6 different installers over on at least a dozen visits and they weren't installed until after our daughter's first birthday. ...For example, I remember clearly on Federal election day 2016 (a Saturday), we were promised someone would come out "first thing" as we were the "first job". We got a call at about 11 to say they were late and would be around after noon. After noon, we called to see where they were and they said they would be there soon as they were delayed by the previous job. So much for being the "first job". There was no sign of them by 1 by which time we'd had to stick around the house no knowing when they'd turn up but needing to do our weekend chores and to go and vote. They finally showed up at 4.30pm, by which time it was basically dark, but insisted that we pay the balance first. I kindly declined the offer and sent them packing. So by the end of 2016 and after endless calls and delays, and re-installs due to shutters being the wrong size, incomplete orders, damaged shutters or bad installations, they were all finally in, but the last set were mis-matched to all the others. Then we hear nothing from them, no follow up calls, the next thing we get is a letter from recoveries agents in April 2017 demanding the balance. That's how you treat your customers? To their credit, they agreed to two discounts because of all the stuff ups, but we'd frankly rather have paid full price and have them done on one or two visits (we understand mistakes are made) than to go through countless phone calls, waiting around at home, taking days off and re-arranging our lives every time they said they wanted to come out. Maybe our job was too small for them to care, but we wish we'd never come across them.

Shutters ordered & 50% deposit paid on March 18, 2020 for our apartment on Chevron Island. Rep Kerry Knight said Shutters were in stock but in containers & expected installation in 6-8 weeks. 4 weeks already gone bye & we have been unable to contact anyone to get an update. Please respond
