A big company with no regards to commitments
Placed the order for roller blinds with a promise of completion of the job in 2-3 weeks. This commitment was given in writing. I wanted it done in 2 weeks as I didn’t want to live in a new house in a new suburb that had trades working in the nearby houses so I called to know the status of the install as soon as I moved in. To my horror, I was informed that the install is still 3-4 weeks away and someone has informed me from the company (never received a call). So here I was getting the roller blinds installed 5 weeks after placing the order. The reason for 3 stars and not 1 is that at least the quality of the blinds is not compromised and they sent someone to cover my window with some paper shades for privacy for those 3 weeks of waiting.
Good Product. Poor Customer Service.
Good quality product. Great service up until one of the products wasn't what we asked for and then the service was terrible. Many months down the track and with many calls we were unsuccessful in rectifying the problem and gave up. Based on our experience i would not use them again.
Initial service was good but we were mucked about alot getting shutters fitted..taking time off work only to be told fitter had to return on another day.. meaning another day off work. Most frustrating. One of the shutters requires further work but no one has returned my request and since final payment has been made it seems no one is interested any longer.
Outdoor bi-fold shutter
Be very careful in Adelaide if you choose an outdoor bi-folding shutter. Measurements have at least 25mm gap top and bottom, do not look like a professional fit, pins do not lock in. They are not built sturdy enough to withstand any wind, when they break repeatedly Ublinds expect you to make an insurance claim. Very disappointing back up service even after spending $14000 with them. Would be a great product if they were built to fit and didn’t take 3 months to get here and you could rely on Ublinds warranty and service which falls very short. An expensive lesson learn’t, always read reviews.
3rd time lucky???? Possibly
After having our quote and looking at the products we were excited for our products to be delivered and installed. However this did not last long. We received our phone call to book in a time for them to be installed, as I have a half day of work I suggested that would be most suitable. I was told because the size of the order a full day would be required to fit them all therefore my husband specifically had to take a day off in order for this to occur at our financial loss. Our products arrived and went to be installed; the roller blinds on...e was the wrong size completely and the other 5 the wrong brackets were provided. The sliding panels the bracket was bent. Luckily the plantation shutters could be installed. Out of our 12 windows 5 were completed on this first day and the installer left before lunchtime. So much for it being a full day job, it was a complete waste of my husbands time and loss of finance. Furthermore we were demanded to pay in full even though more than half the house had not been completed. We then had to chase up and find out when the rest would be fixed and finally they could be installed on a Saturday. This time the installer walked in, looked at the parts and realised he wasn't provided a bracket. At least it was only for one window, so the rest was installed. Hopefully tomorrow the final window will be installed. After 3 sessions we may have a completed house. The only customer service we received was "its too bad" and reduced our total by $45 for all our wasted time, stress (my husband had to do the chasing to find out when they were coming back, we didn't hear back) and not having window coverings for over a week. It would be beneficial that the products are checked they are correct and in good condition before leaving the warehouse. I could understand a wrong measurement being the cause but not the amount of mistakes that occurred.
Ublinds offer a very good product at a very fair price. We built a new house and got all our inside blinds done thru them. For most part the blinds have been very good quality however we did have an issue with one blind that had to be fixed 3 times of which now is working perfectly. The down fall I have found with ublinds is there follow up as we did have to do a lot of ringing to get a response from them. It took for effort on our part to fix the issue rather then them rteturnting calls.Since the blinds issue was fixed I got them to quote an o...utside blind as well because overall I have been pretty happy with the blinds in general. Having said that its nearly 1 month now and I have not had a call back to get a quote and once again I have phoned to follow it up! For me the most part has been good with this company in regards to the blinds them self however there lack of communication has been disappointing. I am the type of person who is old fashioned and don't mind paying that little bit more for fantastic service and I would say there service is good without being fantastic. This feedback is designed to give new buyers an idea that yes you are getting a very very good product from ublinds at a very very good price but there follow up skills can be improved and I hope that this feedback can help train and coach there staff as well. Shutters ordered & 50% deposit paid on March 18, 2020 for our apartment on Chevron Island. Rep Kerry Knight said Shutters were in stock but in containers & expected installation in 6-8 weeks. 4 weeks already gone bye & we have been unable to contact anyone to get an update. Please respond
