Watch out for the 20% fee if you cancel an order.
I ordered $1953.59 worth of security equipment so I could install a wifi security camera system at my home. I ordered what I thought would be the equipment I required. There was a long delay and no goods were sent. On chasing the company up [name removed] then undertook a review without me asking (but nice of him to do so), and suggested another solution. I agreed to have a look at what he had suggested but in the end I worked out that due to too many trees in the way no system was going to be able to work. I asked for a refund of my money.... I waited, and I waited, and I kept chasing him up. Eventually I received a payment for $1613.82. $339.77 short. When I sent him a message to ask why the shortfall he came back with : "Your order has been credited as requested. As stated in our policy there is a 20% restocking fee. https://www.ubnt.com.au/returns-policy/ This is in place to cover the cost of bank charged for the transaction and administrative time to process and then reverse the order. Upon your initial order we identified possible issues wit hyour selection of products. We also spent time to assess your project and adjusted and order with the most suitable devices for your project at your request. As a result of the above the 20% of the second invoice UBN**** was retained as the Restocking Fee. Kind Regards, [name removed]".
