Best combination of online store and physical presence
After wasting time shopping around I discovered that Umart consistently have the cheapest prices on almost every single item they stock, even beating online dropship retailers. Even on a weekend my order was processed and ready for pickup within 20mins of placement. In store I only needed seconds to collect my items and be on my way, showing the Umart have nailed the sales process both online and in person. This is how shopping should work everywhere.
Customer service is pure excellence
Quick, easy and focused. Great communication and followed all Covid-19 policies to ensure a comfortable environment. General sales can be tedious due to the pandemic itself i.e longer waiting periords but this is all conveyed clearly and done to the best of their ability.
Better than anything
Cheap, good quality, great service and I bought a custom pc from them and the cable management is perfect. Store is in a weird location but it makes up for it. In short everything is good

Absolutely terrible service with customer support
I purchased a full PC build of items, After 2 months I had issues with the GPU, I contacted GEEKS2U to come investigate the issue and was informed it was the GPU, I returned my item to Chermside store for a refund, which I Was told that it will need to go away for repairs, IT took 3 months to come back, In the mean-time I was offered a temporary GPU a 750 Ti in the 3 months my RTX 2070 SUPER was away for "Repairs" I had 0 issues with the PC, I received my Item after 3 months and 2 days later the issue continues, I return my Product back for a r...efund but am told it'll need to go away again for testing, I wait 1 week to be told its fine, After being told it was at one store for collection and it actually wasn't I finally received my product back after being told it was fine and they wont be issuing a refund because of that. I returned home to find still an issue Outlined in the Gyazo image link below. I had requested multiple refunds/replacements but continually denied. After receiving online support and advice from the team at Umart, which helped me to short-list a couple of options, I was able to select, order, pay for and then collect my new NAS from Chermside without delay. The worst customer service i've ever experienced
On the 13/03, when it was discovered that we would most likely be needed to work from home,
I decided now would be perfect for me to get a custom PC built by Umart.
I usually build my own, but decided that it would be extremely stress free to just have someone else build it, and i can pick it up.
How wrong I was!
After ordering the Custom build, and being assured of a 5-7 Business day turn around, expected that I would be able to pickup my PC around Friday next week, or Sunday, Possibly Tuesday at the absolute latest the following week.
on the 16/03 I received a confirmation that my build was approved, I then paid for this. ...17/03 I checked whether my PC would be ready to pickup soon, via email as I had just bought a router from Umart as well and i was told that the 5-7 days only starts counting from when they've confirmed my order, which was the previous day. No information on their website to explain this, because if i was told it would be around 13 days for a build, I would have gone somewhere else or built it myself. Either way, I said that's okay and they advised that it would be late next week. on the 19/03 I went into the store to pickup my router and was told that my build was not ready to pickup, but they where just waiting on a case so it shouldn't be too long. On 23/03, I check my umart account and my computer is "Ready for Pickup". I then go to the store on the 24/03 to pickup my PC. The way i'm greeted at the store was quite poor. No greeting, just a shout from across the room "What's your order number?", I then read out my order number and the staff members says "Yeah, that's not ready yet", i said, "It says ready for pickup on my phone?" and they said, "It shouldn't". I then approach the staff member after being argued with, and show him my phone which definitely says "Ready for pickup". He goes, "Hmm, that means it's ready for us to build. Should be ready around 2-3PM today". No sorry. No apologies. No understanding of the confusion. No care at all. I reply "Okay." and walk out the store. Then, when i return home, I call umart, attempting to call their store. I then get their Philippines call centre. On the call, the person is kind, but I was wanting to speak to a senior about a complaint of how dissapointing the service has been. The call centre officer says "There's no one to speak to, just email us". After conversing and trying to understand whether a call centre's escalation process is actually "Email us", i then get given a feedback email. on 25/03 I am given a reply to my feedback with a, "sorry to hear this, we'll investigate it but you're order is actually ready now". I just want this saga over, so i'm happy to just pickup my PC and never have to deal with Umart again. On 26/03 I am unable to travel back to the Umart store, but my partner is able to go pick this up. When she is there, no apology, nothing regarding the numerous contacts or complaints we've made. The person then greets my partner quite bluntly, "Here you go". No assistance to help my partner to the car or anything, which i mean, it's nothing out of the norm for Umart, but it's something that I'd probably want my staff doing if this certain customer had complained, been buying from my company for 10 years and was intending to never buy from you again. That's fine though, For all i thought Umart where out of my hair forever. Then, when I tried to run the PC, the SSD was not being detected in the BIOS. I did troubleshooting of many kinds, and none where successful. I was immediately furious that after all of this, Umart couldn't even do the build part correctly. I called their contact centre once again, and was transferred to their "Technical Support Team". I literally said "Something doesn't work" and they immediately refused to do anything other than say "you need to bring it back to the store", no apologies, no understanding, no let's give you a shorter term solution than the 5-7 day timeframe the officer advised my it would take to diagnose my computer. I advised I once again wanted to talk to a senior, or a team leader and was flat out refused. Instead, I was given an email again to email to. Horrible customer service, but it does get worse. I then decide that instead of trusting Umart with anything as they have shown how incapable they are, i would get this fixed myself. Then, it was diagnosed that the SSD was not compatible with the motherboard, and if they did any testing, they would have discovered this. When Umart does a custom build, they make sure all the parts you select work, but also, they should test that the BIOS displays the SSD atleast. The next day 26/03 I call/email and message Umart on facebook and demand to talk to a senior, because this is ridiculous. I want to return the SSD for a refund and I want reimbursement for the work they failed to do. After a while, i am finally called by a member of the build team, that flat out refuses to accept any liability. Great work by the level 2 support to stick to his guns, but i once again advise that me dropping of my computer for 7 days is not a suitable timeframe. I am then finally called by Jessica, who through all of this is probably the only reasonable person i've talked to at Umart, and is probably suffering from undue stress because the processes of her company are absolutely horrible. We discuss for a while some options, but she finally admits fault and attempts to resolve the issue by suggesting to me "Send the SSD back to see if it's actually not compatible and reimburse me for some of the build cost". Although an okay solution, let's see how far this saga goes from here. In conclusion, Umart has shown their true colours in being an incapable business when things don't go smoothly. If I were a CEO of this company and i caught wind this is how my customers where being treated, i would be appalled. Your Phillipines call centre is being completely left out to dry as you don't have any sort of timely solution to provide. You are leaving your techs/front line staff without any ability to resolve complaints. You are clearly not an organisation that is in any way functioning with the ability to address customers other than from a wholesale perspective. I will never be using you ever again and will suggest all my friends do so as well.
Great service on finding the best laptop for me
I had researched what I wanted in a laptop and went to Umart as they had previously helped me with my old tower. I had a list of what I thought I wanted and due to the knowledge and service of the staff, I was able to have a laptop that can do all that I require (and more) at a much better price than I had anticipated - as I had overestimated what I needed. Refreshing to be told I could spend less money and walked away with a fabulous laptop that I love.

I found the item (a ups) much cheaper online at umart. Others could not pricematch. I was able to then order the item and pay and collect from the chermside store rather than wait for it to arrive in the mail. Paying for the item when you pick it up is very re assuring.
Easy to navigate, all products available for reasonable price. Great quality. Very friendly staff, my order received on time. I bought so many products from umart and always satisfied with their service.

Computer Build. Very Helpful
I am new to PC gaming, I went into the Chermside store with no idea what I was looking at or looking for. I told one of the guys (cant remember his name) there what I wanted to play and my budget. He was very helpful trying to get the PC I need. I got the quote back the next day which was awesome. I placed my order on Saturday now just waiting for it to be ready to collect! cant wait!!
Painless and easy follow support after 'out of box' failure'
Product range and price is a given at Umart. and normally everything works smoothly. However on this occasion I had an out of box failure of a (Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro WiFI mini-ITX) motherboard, which is always a disappointment you don't want to experience after you've just assembled your DIY PC.
Anyway off to Umart on Sunday morning, with the dead motherboard, explained the issue, the chap at the counter said it would be assessed and they'd get back to me. It was assessed, they got back to me Wednesday, i picked it up, installed it that day and my DIY PC is all good to go.
Which also reminds me to offer huge kudo's to Umart for being open on Sunday, as the weekend is when a large chunk of us DIY PC builders get the time to build.
The guys at Chermside are always happy to help. The store is often busy but I'm happy to wait for such friendly staff. They have a great range of products often cheaper than other stores too.
Placed order and was ready in 2 days for pickup. Staff were very helpful when I made changes to the order. At reasonable prices plus a happy experience. Thumbs up.

Umart have great prices and great customer service. Some other stores can say that they have one of these attributes, but it is rare to find a retailer that has both. Great experience all round.
