The range of Uncle Toby's PLUS cereals are nice, but when Plus Iron came on the market...Wowzers!!!! That's all I buy. By far the best cereal on the market. Crunchy deliciousness.
My go-to cereal, until it vanishes!
I really enjoy this cereal and prefer to add my own seasonal fresh fruit and some Oat Flakes. (I don't have any trouble opening the bag unlike another review of a related cereal because I keep a pair of scissors handy!)
My only objection is that my local Woolies store has stopped stocking this flavour so I'm obliged to go to Coles to hunt it down along with the Oat Flakes that Woolies have also rendered extinct in it's universe. Oh well, Woolies' loss is Coles' (and my) gain.
I hope that the Plus Calcium doesn't go the way of the Hazelnut and Strawberry Oat Crisps and vanish from the shelves, due presumably to the lower profit margin on some blends compared to others.
More Tobys With PLUS
Who needs DUFF when you can have PLUS with protein.
Love the taste and the peachy fruit bits and those crunchy swirly thingo's.
Even the Cookie Monster would change his catch cry to "ummm, Plus".
This is good sh?} and it makes you do big ones as well.
Thanks Uncle Tobys for a great breakfast cereal and increasing my Toby output !
Loaded of SUGAR
This product is really, really loaded with sugar NOT fruit. Don't fall for the shamless packaging and marketing. Great for a really, unhealthy start to your day.
As a young mother of two, I try to give my kids fruit for breakfast. I thought there would be more berries in this cereal, and I doubt that they are even real fruit.
It's a staple!
Easily my favourite cereal and I love the extra calcium and vitamins which I am always looking for, as a vegetarian. This is one of the few cereals I could find without clusters or fruit (which come with heaps of sugar and leave a sticky feeling in my mouth) which I love! I could eat this every day and not get bored.
Love this cereal as part of my pregnancy nutrition!
Really yummy and quite filling for breakfast, I was looking at ways to get more iron into my diet because of pregnancy and this is really helping.
Actually very nice
I usually hate breakfast cereals that claim to be packed full of fruits etc, but I can confirm that this is one of the few cereals that does actually have a lot of fruit. Great tasting with a real mix of different types of cereals in the mix. Very enjoyable.
Best Cereal Known To Man (or Woman).
This is the best cereal I have ever eaten. I love protein and I love this cereal, especially the oaty clusters and apricot pieces. I would eat about 80 grams a day so a box barely lasts a week or two. Please never change this cereal, unless you find a way to increase the protein without affecting the taste too much.
In a rush to scoff something prior to heading to work I found my wife had bought Plus Antioxidant. After struggling to open the cereal bag for what felt like minutes, the bag finally torn open right down both sides, spilling the contents onto the stovetop, kitchen floor, and into my yet-to-be tied workboots. I gathered what I could and put the salvaged cereal into a Tupperware container we usually reserve for dog food, and I took that practical joker of a bag and savoured screwing it into as small a ball as I could and piffed it into the wheeli...e bin. WHY Uncle Tobys, why do your cereal inner bags insist on shredding haphazardly down the sides instead of sliding open across the seemingly impenetrable seal? Maybe ask the little elderly hunchbacked lady in Thailand who "earns" 8c per day sealing these bags like Egyptian tombs to set the sealers to a temperature below that of the surface of the sun. I did eat it on consecutive days, but being a Value Pack it will probably end up being shoved to the back of the pantry for alien archaeologists to find in two thousand years' time and conclude that this cereal must have been a revered commodity to have been transferred from it's mint condition packaging into a hardy airtight container, but they'd be as mistaken as Shane Warne's alien-monkey-human evolution theory. On a positive note, I did have a snippet of joy during this whole experience, however that was as I removed the unopened box to the bench prior to evenly distributing it's contents throughout my kitchen like some kind of floor tile fertiliser.
Love it!!!! Best cereal!!!
This is the best cereal I have ever had, it is so delicious, you don't even need to add anything to it, just milk, and gives me more energy. I started having this when I'm pregnant but will continue having it after too, it is sooo good, I love it. Best and my most favourite so far. :)
It is a great start to the day.
This is a delicious breakfast. Thank you to Uncle Tobys for having a cereal I can eat without setting off my allergies. Other grains (such as oats) are added to other cereals as is soy etc. I can alternate this with Weeties and Weet Bix. I am allergic to bread so I just have cereal. This has the fibre and fruit I need.
Wow! Can't Get Enough!
I actually have more energy throughout my day now, thanks to Plus Iron I can feel myself being able to participate in higher level activities that involve a lot of energy consumption. Also it certainly tastes fantastic, very good.
So delicious I eat it for dessert
A great tasting healthy cereal with no fruit love this cereal so much that i sometimes have it for dessert,
The perfect Breakfast starts with Uncle Toby's Muesli Flakes!
I have been having this cereal for as long as I can remember as the start of my breakfast:
1. Uncle Toby's Muesli Flakes with A2 milk
2.Wholemeal 4 grain Toast
3. Honey and Banana (no Butter etc.)
5. Coffee and A2 Milk
A little bit addicted
I absolutely love this cereal. Of all the Uncle Tobys plus cereals, this one is my favourite, and usually serves as lunch and sometimes supper for me. I love knowing it's healthy, low in calories, and doesn,t need the addition of any sugar due to the sweetness of the fruit. First cereal I have ever eaten without sugar. All my life I have been a weetbix / weeties / cornflakes, consumer with no interest in "fancy" cereals. But THIS cereal has changed my mind.
Contents have changed
I have bought this cereal for at least 18 months and really enjoyed it.
Last week I bought a "Value Pack" from Coles and as soon as I opened it i knew something was different.
Then I noticed the packaging doesn't list sultanas anymore. That has completely changed the taste and I don't like it!
The Uncle Tobys site still shows it as having Sultanas however.
Now I have to see if I can get my money back but I don't like my chances
Used to taste good
Expensive, ingredients have changed - is that because it is supposed to be a value Pack?
It was good, now its got sultanas like every other cereal
Loved it for years, but it has just changed ingredients: now it has no more yummy pineapple and paw paw, instead it has peaches and sultanas.
Every cereal has sultanas - boring.
Now it makes me fart!
Loved that it didn't have sultanas, and was high-ish in protein.
Now it has sultanas like every other cereal on the market.
Please no saltanas
I So wish it hadn't changed.I have loved and bought this cereal since it began. My whole family love it because it had no sultanas in it and still had yummy fruit. I was devastated to see it was going to change and I now wont buy it.
Its like a completely different cereal. I hope enough people who love it complain.
I am really not sure what all the Antioxidant Lift means, and I have my doubts about it really working. However, all cereals claim to be doing something or another and are supposed to have so many things in them that are good for you. This cereal was okay to eat. I didnt really taste the blueberries, but the cranberries are certainly tangy, which I dont really like. Overall, this was an okay cereal, nothing too exciting or tasty to make me want to eat it regularly.
I kept receiving this as a sample from the supermarkets and that was handy since...
Questions & Answers
Having trouble finding the Omega 3 version in my local Woolies and Coles. Something going on we should know about??
Grateful for your response, please.
I have checked with my local Woolworths, and the Omega 3 variety is readily available, as are all the varieties. Maybe it is a popular variety in your area and sells out quickly, as does the fibre variety here. I would suggest asking staff at the stores why they have a shortage, which may be due to high sales, especially when the item is on special. Alternatively, maybe they are not ordering enough to supply customer demand, and you could have a word to them about this. Kind regards:)
