Hopeless service- books and refunds can take months
would not recommend at all, books can take months to arrive, some never arrive at all and refunds can take months or never at all..
Absolutely hopeless! Would not recommend at all!
The co-op is absolutely hopeless! Ordered Microsoft office for my Mac. One week later no email to say shipped and no package. Sent an email to say that they will check on it and that it will be on it’s was soon. Turns out it was never in stock. 3 weeks later, we are still waiting for the refund, after numerous phone calls and emails, we are still trying to get our refund back. Quite happy to take your money but not so happy to give the money back even tho the product was not in stock! Would not recommend to anyone!
Do not ever buy from this place
The Co-op is 100% hopeless and I do not recommend buying your uni books with them. I put in an order received one book 3 weeks later one book 5 weeks later and one never came at all, when enquired I was told even though it was listed as in stock they did not have it and did not know how long it would be until they could get it. I was offered a refund to which I agreed, it was from this point forward that they ignored my emails and refused to pay the refund until over 2 months later and a lot more emails and calls. The customer service was just horrendous, this whole thing left me without the books I needed form my course and was a giant waste of time. Utterly hopeless I am amazed that they are still somehow able to operate.

Said it was in stock, spoiler alert: It wasn't.
I ordered a book online with express shipping last week, and online it said it was in stock. Fast forward to today, still haven't received my book and went online to check the order. It said it was still "processing".
I made a call to the co-op store only for them to say that they had cancelled my order two days ago. Without letting me know neither via email or phone. I needed this book by Sunday for an important assignment! Hence, the express shipping and placing an order a week and a half in advance! Now I'm bookless AND without money beca...use the refund still hasn't gone through. Disgusting service and I will never buy from here again if I can avoid it. They have no idea the problems this has caused for my assignment as now I don't have to book to complete it, I have never written a bad review about anything in my life but this is seriously just bad service.

Shocking slow and confused service
Had a problem with needing to merge online member number with store number when store closed-website says contact us-email not answered after over a week so tried phone-line (down first few days)- tried a store (not able to help)- tried later phone on hold so long phone went flat-sent another email-eventually i bought the book without member discount because was saying instore and time was passing, need the book-subsequent received email have merged accounts. 2.5weeks later still no book and new online member number doesn't show the order. Sen...t another email-no answer-on hold on phone told book is on back order! They will source it from another store and send it. I won't hold my breath! The semester is disappearing! Previously have been charged for delivery when have had to go into a store to pick it up because they made an error and was not refunded the delivery fee because the store staff could not do it-really bad no apology no effort to rectify, painful to deal with time consuming, this is not how to run a business.
Extremely poor service
Two orders were placed (and paid for in full in advance) with the Co Op - each of them containing a request for two identical textbooks (both of which were in stock and still are). When dispatched, only one textbook was received in each order and we have been trying to resolve for over a month with no luck to have the other two books posted out. The outlet in question is Macquarie Park. The store does not answer calls nor does it seem to reply to email messages. Also waiting on a refund (for over a month) from a third cancelled order. The Co Op...customer service team also are not proactive in following up complaints or helpful in resolving problems. Will not be purchasing any books from co op again, nor will I be recommending them to anyone else.
Half way through the semester and haven' received 1 out of the 3 books I ordered. Not to mention the other 2 text books arrived more than 3 weeks after I had ordered them.

Ordered my two textbooks on the 2nd of January.
One arrived within the week - the other was sent to the wrong state. Spent 9 weeks contacting them with no effort from Co-op to keep me updated. Had to lodge several enquiries to find out what was happening. At the 9 week mark which was 4 weeks into my semester I gave up and asked for a refund.
It's now 3 weeks later and I still have no refund and no one is calling me or emailing me to give me updates.
When I spoke to customer service they have flat out lied to me by promising emails and callbacks that never happen.
You can find the textbooks elsewhere, don't bother with these guys.
Worse than Big Pharma
They rarely have what you actually need e.g. uni supplies like palm cards or the textbook required for your subject. When they do stock the textbook it is grossly overpriced. Lines are enormous whenever you need to go their (at the beginning of the semester). I am also incredibly morally opposed to the idea of having to pay to be a member of a loyalty program.
Its just the worst.
Don't bother - you will find it cheaper elsewhere and the service is non-existent
Ordered a university text, wit the coop stating it was in stock... two weeks later I still had not received it. I was told that someone would get back to me with an ETA - they didn't. I waited another week before asking for the order to be cancelled, and I sourced the book elsewhere as I needed it for my course. I never received a reply, and now 5 weeks later they shipped the text... and now i cannot contact them to return it for a refund..... I did not receive a tax invoice from them either - which makes it hard when you want to take it further. Furious is an understatement!!
After a month of my textbook not arriving, i received one text book and not the other. 0 responses from multiple emails sent. very poor communication on Co Ops behalf. I had assessment due that i needed these textbooks for. I will not be buying from Co Op again and i will not be recommending this site to anyone else.
Online order and collect in store was excellent
So for my university books this year I have decided to once again try to order online . I ordered online and selected click and collect. I was worried that the processing time would be over the one day as I have had a horrible experience with shipping (they didn't inform me the book was out of stock the minute I bought it and still charged me -- only returned the funds unwillingly when I asked for it). But the click and collect was great and saved time.

BAD Service and no response from Co-Op.
Placed an order for a text book on 22nd Feb, got online in chat room and held on for 2.5 hr;s, gave up. eventually got hold of a real person to talk to on toll free number with no expression of concern, apology or rectification of delayed delivery or non communication. Sent 2 e-mails requesting feedback on order status, no reply. Got commitment for urgent shipment from consultant. Order still shows pending on account and subject started 2 weeks ago. Not able to refer to text book because I still do not have one. Will not use this company again.
"Making the Grade"
This textbook is easy to read and is a must for academic writing units. I will be using this text as a reference book while working on assessments. Definitely stays on my bookshelf!
Don't expect express shipping for delays
I ordered twice for the same book.
The first one is out of stock so they had my order refunded (without offering to send me an e-mail or notification that if it is available they will contact me). The next one was dispatched only today (after almost 10 days I ordered).
I am not happy about this transaction because I got behind of my readings for quite some time. I don't think these people care that much about the students because we wanted to pass and have our own plans. It is almost our third week and they only dispatched the product on...the third week itself. I was disappointed because as I am trying to get in touch with them (they have such a long queue in live chat and never answered the call on the number they provided) it took me a long time to hear back from them. I have also sent an e-mail and it took me three days as well! Having to hear this catastrophe they did not also inform us specifically how everything is going so we could've planned alternatives with this transaction. This is the worst transaction I ever had from Coop. Please fix your system!
Less than helpful
- Ordered a textbook online (no mention of it being 'out of stock')
- Received an email with my order number (no tax invoice or payment details included)
- Received another email shortly after saying that the book was available at Curtin University (?) and the order had been diverted to a distribution centre. No further details provided
- Over a week passed without follow up or an update on delivery time
- Called customer service, quoted order number and was told that the book was out of stock and that it would be at least 2-3 weeks before...
I received an email 7 days after ordering saying that my order has been processed. I found no mention of this processing time when ordering and definitely would have bought through another company if I had know.
I finally got my membership no. attached to my online account and after 2 hours on a phone cue could not complete my order online. The crazy thing was they had the book I wanted in store but it was part of a "bundle" and would not sell it singularly. When I rang them to order it singularly they said they would have to order it from the publisher and would take 2- 3 weeks! They didn't seem to know what was on my (very popular) nursing curriculum. I don't know what there business plan is but it seems that management is on an extended junket in the Bahamas. 2 million members @ $25 a pop and they cannot get ordering user friendly! Jaw dropping
Unable to deliver.
I've ordered books from co-op on four occasions (multiple books in one order) and twice I've had to cancel the order as co-op was unable to deliver or provide an estimated time of delivery. The last order showed the book was "IN STOCK - Usually ships next business day" however after five business days I enquired via email to find one book had just been dispatched and the other should be dispatched shortly. After an additional three business days I spent 50 minutes on the phone to enquiry about the status of the second book. I was told the book ...was on backorder. I mentioned the website still indicated the book was in stock and they said the computer indicated that there was one book in store on a different campus. They called the store while I was on hold however there phone was not answered. They then said they would forward the order to that store and follow-up with a phone call. I should receive a dispatch email in the next 24 hours. It is 24 hours later and I've not heard back. I've sent an email to cancel the order. Uni started 4 days ago and to meet my reading obligation, I've purchased the book on ebay (for less than coop member prices).
Honestly the worst
I'm pretty easy-going and tend to put up with a lot of crap and won't be bothered by it but I can honestly say that this is the worst store I've ever shopped at. It's been a month since I ordered a book for my uni course via their online store and I still have not received anything. The website said I would get the book within a week. I've contacted the store about 5 times via email and have called 3 times. When (or rather if) I eventually do get an answer through email, the representative tells me this or that - constant excuses. Every repres...entative tells me something different. Eventually, after already being 4 weeks into my 10 week course without a book, I asked for a refund. Several times. And now the latest lie is that as soon as the University store opens they'll process my refund. Why are we waiting for just one of your physical stores to open so you can give me a refund? The store was supposed to be open on the 15th. I went to the store on the 15th and it was completely closed down for renovations. They even lied about that! It truly seems as if they're just scamming people. The fact that the University recommended this store to me is just ridiculous. Look at these other reviews. The Universities need to stop sending their students to a "bookshop" that is only going to charge them through the nose for products that they will never receive. The worst part is that I still have no book for my class. I've had to take pictures of my classmate's books just so I can do the course homework. Seriously guys, never shop here.
