Poor Customer Service
Furniture looks great but dealing with [Name Removed] at Urgan Rhythm is a process that requires much patience. Like what we bought - will not shop there again due to difficult people to deal with.
High quality and service
I had a very good experience in the Richmond store and am very satisfied with the customer service. The sales assistant was very helpful and gave advice when choosing the material and colors for the new couch. The quality of the product is very good and even though we chose among the cheapest fabrics, it looks very chic and modern. I am more than satisfied with the product, however I have to remove one star because of bad experience with the delivery services. The delivery scheduled without notifying me. I only found out the late afternoon that my product will be delivered next day morning.
Bad customer service
I went to visit the Nunawading store today with my kids, after browsing some of the sofas online. The salesperson at this store did not greet me as I walked in, which was pretty standard at all the other furniture stores that I previously visited. There were no other customers in the store at the time either, so she wasnt busy serving anyone else. She then proceeded to give my children and I judgmental stares as my children went around the store with me to test out some sofas. I found the shopping experience here to be very disappointing and I was interested in purchasing one of the lounge suites but the lack of customer service, as well as the unwelcoming vibe was enough to make me walk out.Hi Est,

Read more We're sorry that you felt our service was not as you expected. We work hard to create a culture in our stores that is welcoming and relaxed. Our service is something we pride ourselves on, however as all of our customers are different, sometimes our "watching and waiting" can be misunderstood as being overly watchful or mistimed. Most of our customers prefer the freedom to consider and test our sofas on their own for a little. We tend to wait for cues to join in on a conversation or an invitational glance to pop over to offer our assistance as we prefer not to be viewed as pushy. We strive to offer our customers not only beautiful, quality furniture with great value, but also the personalised service and advice we'd appreciate ourselves. Excellent service and products!
We were impressed by the lay out of the store in Richmond and how easy it was to view all furnishings etc. We saw what we wanted immediately and with the valued opinion and assistance of Rachelle ended up with a sofa, chairs and cushions. She was excellent in recommending the design and materials involved and we are now living with them. They are well built, upholstered and comfortable. We have returned and bought other items already.

Different customer experiences
What a great experience at the Nunawading store on Friday. The consultant was helpful but not intrusive and was very patient, showing us many potential options. We have requested a quote and we are keen to place an order. There was a buffet that we wished to see which was not on the floor at Nunawading so we drove to Richmond yesterday. The first consultant we saw was very pleasant and then left us to have a good look around which was great.
However, one of the pieces we would like to order is an extending dining table. We wanted to "test" ope...
Read morening it and closing it again to make sure we could both manage it easily (we had been shown how to do this at Nunawading two days prior) and I have had similar extending tables in the past. Sadly, another consultant came over and made us feel like naughty children for touching the furniture without the consultant present! She kept an eye on us for the rest of our time in the store (which was cut short as I felt so uncomfortable). We are both professionals in our 60s; I'm a qualified interior designer. We really didn't appreciate her rather condescending tone. We are considering spending several thousand dollars with Urban Rhythm and we need to be really sure of our decision. We wanted to be given plenty of time to discuss the options together, on our own, and to ask questions of the consultant(s) when we were ready. Needless to say, should we decide proceed, we shall be ordering from Nunawading.Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback. Human Error times two
I happily purchased two dining chairs - more than I would ordinarily pay . Two weeks later I picked them up from the depot - got them home, wrong colour. I emailed and they were prompt and helpful, extending apologies for 'human error'. Six weeks later I received a call saying replacement chairs were ready. Convenient for me ,I could do the swap at the Nunawading store. Carried two chairs into the Centre, up narrow escalator and into store. Replacement chairs were wrong again. Same colour wrong. Staff were apologetic. I hauled the wrong chair...
Read mores down the escalator and back to car. Was told that the right chairs would be ready next week. I agreed to another swap at the Nunawading store. I'm a little dubious now. I suspect next week's chairs might be right chairs, but floor stock. I was going to buy two more chairs in a different colour, but I now think I might purchase more dining chairs elsewhere. August 4th 2019 Update: Very unimpressed Very unimpressed with Urban Rhythm. After twice getting seat colours wrong (distinctly different colours from the colour ordered), I now have floor stock. The chair sticks to the floor indicating that sticky pads have been removed. They did give me two clearance scatter cushions but that doesn't compensate for floor stock when I paid full amount for the chairs.Dear V Nugent,
