This product us to be known as "Valco Zee Spark"
OK until the warranty expires, design not the best for long term durability
Bought it brand new and had to exchange it initially as it wouldn't click into place when fully extended, and the hood cover wouldn't fully close without falling off the bar that it would clip on to. We got it replaced with a new one and now just after one year the actual cable to release to pram so it will fold snapped. We got this pram cause it was light and was easy to fold and put into the car. I now realise the design aspect of it is susceptible to wear and tear a lot sooner than other prams, I should of realised at the time when you hav...e to pull up on the handle for it to click into place that, that part would soon fail over time. RRP it was $499, for this price it should last more than 12months. Light and easy to fold and put into car Bad design means durability is compromised, don't expect to last more than 12 months.
Love our pram!!! Wouldn't upgrade for anything
After many days searching for the perfect pram that fitted into our budget we found it the valco zee spark !
This is a very handy pram from birth and our little girl is 7months now and I love how I can switch it back to suit a good nap just by unzipping a few sections !!! The seat converts into a cute stroller seat with handy storage pockets at the rear
The extender hood is excellent for sun protection!
The only bad thing in although the storage compartment has easy access (from every side) the frame of the pram is inside the basket space?...
Perfect First Pram
Being a first time Mum, I found shopping for a pram daunting.
After much consideration, I purchased this pram.
My baby is now 9 months old and I am very happy with my Valco Spark.
I wanted a pram for $500 or less as I was not prepared to spend big dollars on my first pram.
I also wanted a reversible seat and did not want to have a separate bassinet attachment to store later.
This pram is every thing in one.
I found that it was great as I was able to alternate between seat and bassinet to suit my baby's needs.
The pram is very user fri...
When looking for a pram there were a few criteria it had to fill - and this made it somewhat easier to eliminate the hundreds of prams that are available - if it weren't for our criteria I think it would do our head in!
We required a pram to be:
- Easy to use
- Bassinet option
The Zee Spark ticked all these boxes and more with the convertible seat into bassinet - eliminating the need to have to buy a separate attachment (which we loved).
The pram is light enough for me to load into the car without too much of ...
This is a great stroller for everyday use. It's easy to manouver and relatively light. It converts from bassinet to regular seat easily and it can face both ways. It has 3 different recline levels and you can attach a few different brands of car capsule with an adaptor piece.
forwad and rear facing, don't need to buy separate bassinet attachment, very easy to manouver and narrow, very easy to fold and set up, can use with a car capsule
you have to lift the seat off the chassie to fold and even tho the pram when put together is acrually quite small compared to many others, the fact that it's 2 pieces means it takes up quite a lot of space in the car.
Very good pram
We bought this pram after looking an nearly every pram out there! Our baby is 6 months old and it has been exactly what we were after. I love how it converts from bassinet to upright seating without needing any extra attachments. It is easy to separate and pop in the boot, it's lightweight and not bulky when pushing around the shops. There is one thing about this pram that is very annoying though. The clip that holds the hood on always (and I mean every time we use the pram) pops out, which causes the hood to collapse. This is very annoying whe...n your baby is asleep and you need to fiddle with a clip which is right near the head of the baby. We have already had it replaced once and it still happens. Apart from this I think its an excellent pram. size, weight, colour hood clips
It is exactly what we wanted. A small practicial easy to use stroller.
It has two easy buttons to take the capsule off and two mor to pull to fold down and it's done! So light weight that I can lift it anywhere and easy to pull up and lock into position.
We are first time parents so I don't agree with the other review but these are just our opinions.
We got the red waffle colour and I love it! We wanted a stroller to use as a bassinet mode and toddler and it does just that! It's not too wide so I can easily use it in the shops. We got it just under $500 and we think it's good value you so far.
Over engineered not for new parents!
We bought a Valco Zee Spark from a representative at a baby expo. Apart from the wrong information that we were given (we were sold two addiional attacments that actually didn't go with the stroller we purchased) we're not very happy with the stroller. I returned the first one we were given as it did not stay up when being re-opened. Although the second one works, the bassinet cover doesn't sit well over the seat, the two triggers you pull to collapse it are difficult to pull impossible when holding a baby, the bassinet straps are pretty po...intless, the seat harness comes from behind where the baby sits so the baby will be sitting on two black bits of plastic, the underneath is to small to fit very much in it, and the zip that connects the hood to the seat is made in a way that the zip is nearly impossible to open or close. for a 500 stroller - it looks pretty, but is way too smart for its own good and is not practical and easy to use. looks pretty
Questions & Answers
Is the valco spark good to run with? Why/why not?
Valiant B.Valco Baby
Thanks for your question.
With safety as a primary concern, we do not endorse running with your Spark pram.
For a pram to be suitable for running, it should ideally have large wheels, be a 3 wheeler and the tyres should be pneumatic.
Hope this helps!
Hello, if the front tyres of my pram have no tred, how can I just buy the two instead of 4 new ones? Thanks, Claire
The only method I know of to get replacement parts is to contact valco baby support team. Link: https://www.valcobaby.com.au/contactus
They do sell replacement parts separately.
