Doesn't hold up power in the long run
The Vax VX52 vacuum provides a strong suction which gets the job done, and its slim design and multiple attachments make it easy to get into any space to clean and store when you're done. However, after about 6 months I noticed that the suction power wore off - even when keeping on top of regular maintenance (e.g. replacing filters, etc.).
Not recommended due to poor suction
We bought this cordless vacuum cleaner based on a previous review about it being as good as a Dyson.
We owned a Dyson ball upright cleaner and the suction was strong. The VX52 does not come anywhere close. It has poor suction that will get the job done with multiple passes on your carpet but the end result is not great. The construction is bit piddly too. For example, the vacuum head turns in directions that you don't intend to take. I think it does this because the head is so small and light.
My recommendation is to look at other mode...ls or brands that are robust with a stronger suction, especially if you want a properly vacuumed carpet. This is my first review on this website. I felt very compelled to prevent other consumers from buying this inferior product.
Happy with my new Vax l bought at the beginning of the year. you have keep it empty after each room you do, watch all the filters don't get blocked. Great suction when cleaned propley. Stores out of the and holds its charge, never run out of power. It works well on all our concrete floors.
What a great vacuum cleaner
Bought this for the caravan but this thing is a gem. Easy to get out and put away. Seems as good as our new upright Dyson. Certainly more convenient being 24v lithium battery and cordless with 20+ min run time. Tons of power and a flexi power head which was something that the Hover didn't have. Worth the extra $50. We have only timber floors at home with the occasional mat. Very impressed with the bag-less filters they work well and reasonably quiet as well
