Very poor email send/receive times when using outlook
I recently switched over from Webcentral to VentraIP, hoping for better email service. I was sick of Webcentral having email outages that could last for a day. However, I've been really disappointed with VentraIPs email service. I use outlook to send and receive everything, but it's taking sometimes over 20 mins for an email with attachments (and still under 1mb) to leave my outbox. A very mixed bag
tldr; Don’t expect support, but if your needs are relatively simple you’ll probably be fine.
As a vounteer I’ve managed websites for a couple of associations through Ventra and its former subsidiary Zuver, for many years. I also have a personal website with them.
On the whole their service is good and seems reliable for small-scale sites. I’m not expert enough to say for sure, but I get the impression that the configuration of these sites is not the same, so I have doubts about how well they maintain an even level of service. A CPanel site...
Read more migrated from another provider still has a broken plus-addressing filter years after the migration. This worked fine at a small hosting company in regional Victoria, but is apparently beyond the skills of Ventra. The point where your experience with Ventra could go rapidly downhill is their support. I can only assume (from the times they respond and their ridiculous fake names and weirdly inappropriate use of Australianisms) that they are based in India. Some of their responses resemble the work of music-hall spiritualists, trying to reformulate an answer from what you’ve already told them. Other times, they seem to totally ignore the relevant details you have told them multiple times. You can quickly descend into a Kafkaesque series of exchanges that, at best, make little sense and at worst are just insulting. You can waste hours and hours of your valuable time on this. It’s utterly shameless. Sometimes you will get lucky and something will be fixed, but honestly it feels like a fairly random thing. You can’t help but feel that there is some kind of heuristic at work, where they get paid for a certain number of responses then penalised for too many, so if you persevere they might be forced to help you, but you have to endure an awful lot of nonsense.- Incentivised Review No

Easy to use, hidden limitations
I'm pleased with the loading times and features, the customer support is quick and helpful, but there is a major setback for me.
The file limit in cPanel is 300,000, and there is no option to increase it. Meaning an empty Drupal 9 installation will already fill it to almost 10%. That is an absolute joke. Other hosting providers with comparable packages either have unlimited files (and work with a GB limit) or a 2.5million+ file limit. If that doesn't change, I'm forced to move to a different provider to keep the business going

OK but beware of what they charge vs what they quote
I was happy with the work they undertook, but there was a dispute about what they invoiced me. They charged more than what they quoted. However, after some debate, they went back to our original agreement, however, this was a bit painful. Plus I was made to feel as though they were doing me a favor by only charging me what they originally agreed, which left a bad taste

Poor Email Hosting
I have recently moved to VentraIP and have had nothing but issues with email. First of all I have managed numerous of company's IT requirements for many years and do know what I am doing.
There are constant IMAP syncing issues ranging from below average speeds to folder corruptions and their IMAP server in general not syncing folders between remote locations.
Their technical support staff aren't qualified enough to troubleshoot real technical issues and every ticket ends with "well it appears to be an issue on your side" or "maybe you should co...

Poor Hosting Services With AXIGEN through VENTRA IP - Emails constantly drop out
We have numerous issues with emails dropping out across our 15+ email servers.
On one occasion we lost emails to the entire business for 4 hours whist the migration to the AXIGEN server was occurring. Despite complaining about lost revenue for 15 employees, Ventra IP only apologised and credited the email hosting for one month, fairly menial considering the down-time we experienced.
Understandably these issues occur from time to time, however its infuriating that the customer has to pay for "Urgent Technical Support" when the issues generally exist with Ventra IP.
We will be migrating our accounts elsewhere given the inconsistencies.
One saving grace is the staff are always friendly enough whilst troubleshooting, well done there.

Since writing this review, giving support staff (of the dubious names) admin access to a site and having them investigate problems with SpamAssassin, I’m now immediately receiving obvious spam that was previously sent to the spam folder.
