I do not recommend VentraIP
Was a customer of Netvirtue for 8 - 10 years. Small customer, few domains, web hosting, emails, nothing much but I was loyal and paid tri-annually for years and never complained once. I get that I'm not a massive customer but I pay my money just like the big guys do.
Enter VentraIP who took them over last year. All seemed fine until I was migrated from legacy Netvirtue to VentraIP. Then the ONE THING I used and liked the most - Spam Experts was unceremoniously taken away from me.

Read more short of pathetic, the individual didn't even read the information I posted in the ticket, an embarrassment to your support if you can even call it that. Second time round I did get someone who was knowledgeable and very polite so cannot fault him - thank you. However unfortunately he advised me that I was no longer going to be able to use Spam Experts and it would not be offered into the future. The worst part is that he then made it my responsibility to follow this up with Management and recommended I contact them to provide feedback. NO.- Rates and Fees

AU only provider, when faced with a overseas issue
I have used VentraIP for nearly 10 years, I have seen a local company grow, but sadly the things that drew me to the company as my recommended Registrar and services host of choice have evaporated.
When faced with a complex problem their support wilted, their US DNS servers are being blocked in the USA, causing disruption and reputational damaged to those of us who use VentraIP with a US presence., The only offered solution was for us to go to Cloudflare or GoDaddy, which very much defeats the purpose.

Support is rude and not helpful
Customer Support is rude and not helpful. They will not help you much. I think it is better to choose another hosting provider. Another part is that their IP blocking bingbot so your website will not index on Bing. That's really bad.

Horrible Company Stay Away At All Costs
Horrible company stay away at all costs
After almost 5 years trying to troubleshoot an issue with Ventra – the issue still exists. Save yourself the time and trouble and look to Google or Microsoft for email hosting

An encouraging start
Very happy with the start-up assistance and knowledge of the tech adviser. I registered two urls, one being a freeby for the first year with the same prefix as my first choice. The tech adviser Saxon gave me a link to an ABN application should I need it. Good service.

Purchased perfect company and their client just to get them busted
Ventra recently purchased Netvirtue we had business hosting with for almost 10 years. Those guys were legends, helpdesk fast and professional, most support we could get from a chat. now almost no support, tickets are delayed, misunderstood, the email doesnt work, website is down. They block websites on fully paid accounts but showing IP as unblocked in the dashboard. Total disarray.

Good interface good way of doing things, a little dearer
VentraIP is proactive in providing services. Enquiries are handled in good faith.
Though I recently had a problem with VentraIP it was resolved to my satisfaction. I have had some interactions recently with other providers and though generally OK the experience was made difficult by their processes.

Reject application and have no way to stop getting spam email
Company is a joke. They are claiming I am using an oversea IP, even know I am using my university IP in Australia. Not worth wasting your time on this company.

It is very good. Almost rates five stars.
VentraIP has given me excellent service, probably as good as I could hope for from any web hosting service. I was with Yahoo Small Business, certainly Ventra is far better. I have no complaints at all.

Huge performance problems with Ventra IP!!
I've been a long term customer of Ventra IP and decided to switch out of them. I've noticed that during afternoon's and especially evenings' (AEST TIME) the performance of the server is significantly slower. I was uploading 20 blog posts on a light website other night and I'm waiting about 6-10 seconds for page to refresh when it usually takes 1-3 seconds. This has been happening for good 3 months now on and off.

I was running on 'Premier+' package so if this is happening on this package than there is nothing left to say other than they are overloading the crap out of the server with their new '$5.00' clients. I contacted the support and they initially said that it was the firewall running on the server and than kept dodging the questions. Ventra IP is well known to answer questions in a way that doesn't give you answers to what you are after. Example: You would ask 'Why is my website loading slow?' and they will answer back with 'You should consider upgrading your package for better performance'. This is a perfect option
VentralP Australia allowed a free year during the time of Covid 19. I didn't use it during 2020. I have recently renewed and planning to use it as soon as possible.

If I could choose zero stars I would
Be very very wary of taking your business to Ventra if you have an even medium sized portfolio. I was forced to move several hundred domains away from Ventra less than 3 months after moving from crazydomains who admittedly were even worse. Ive landed softly in the warm embrace of GoDaddy and I won't be leaving any time soon. My suggestion is get out while you can, or even better give them a miss altogether. I'm sure for a single domain they do fine but other than that... ciao!

Not impressed so far
I'm one of the mergers from zuver and it's not going well. Was told it would be seamless and would honour the same pricing from Zuver. The client was paying yearly rates. Then once merged over a mystery monthly invoice got generated and the account suspended due to non payment. Fair - originally but we didn't quite understand this invoice. Previously we weren't charged anything monthly. So I issued a ticket at 1:38pm. No reply back within the 30mins. Need to get this sorted fast so I decide to ring up the phone number (which on the voice the a...

Also to add yesterday after my first review condescendingly they reply back with the option to pay $5 to bump up the ticket priority - sorry but I'm not paying $5 to fix a mistake that's Ventura's fault to begin with. Anyway long wait on the phone line too but eventually get through. The person on the phone didn't quite know what was going on with the invoice either and so we decided to extend the invoice (until august 14th) and refer the case over to accounts (who wasn't in) to look at tomorrow, and in the mean time the account is unsuspended. Cool everything working again. And looking forward to getting this sorted out tomorrow. How wrong I was. Wake up, not even 9am yet and my inbox is flooded with "account suspended" messages again. I have yet to hear back from acounts and billing. The mystery invoice was extended and they're still suspending the account. I'm on the phone with them again at 8:30am.
