For the price RRP $40 puchased for $20, brilliant.

A really nice, quality speaker. Pumps out 24 watts of power with no distortion even at full volume. Incredible quality for the price. My local post office was down to their last one and reduced it down to $19.99 from its $39.99 original price. Even at full price, you are getting a bargain with a bluetooth 24 watts speaker presented in a retro look case. You cannot fault this speaker. I've spent much more on mini speakers that have no where near the power, sound or battery life. If you see this just grab it. Don't uhm and ah like I did. It's incredibly inexpensive but don't be fooled by that, it's a quality item.

Purchased in February 2019 for $19.99.

Sounds like the unit is flat. But it should light up red around the volume knob when plugged in to charger. Maybe try charging via USB. but other than that sounds like a warranty job. Mine has been such a good unit, but I guess there are bad units in everything.

Don't buy one of these units. There is no manufacturer's contact information on the instructional booklet that comes with the unit that I bought in an Australia Post shop in Glen Innes. After 6 months, it will not recharge or even work whilst plugged into a USB charger and so is useless. I have changed both USG changing units and leads. There was no wall plug power lead supplied with this unit, but the identical unit sold in the USA under the brand name Tewell does come with a wall plug power lead. I cannot find any information for either Verve or Tewell manufacturers.
