Very happy I’ve gone electric
I was very happy with my Victa Mustang for many years and there was really nothing wrong with it but I was keen to try electric for a quiet and fume free mow. After researching many brands I figured I should just stick with the name I know and I am so happy I did. It tackles thick long patches of lawn that I never thought it would and I love to hear it just automatically kick itself up a gear when it needs to and then back down again when it doesn’t.
Battery life is good and it recharges quickly too.

Sturdy electric mower
After checking different brands I went for the Victa 82v 18" kit. The mower is not loud and has good torque. I like the blades not being a single one and metal base making it a proper mower and not a toy like the plastic ones. It cleanly cuts and after mowing around 200sqm lawn it still had 50%+ charge. Being well balanced there is no vibration through the handles. I am not convinced though the soft catcher is really that good and prefer the solid one. I would have liked to be able to mow lower than the 20mm as it is a bit high for couch grass, but will see. Read the instructions the lawn should be dry but this is the same for any mower.
