Horrible experience
I chose to buy from Victory because I thought they were a reliable, Aussie owned business. I was wrong. I had my consultation in June. The consultant spent a majority of my session chatting, then rushed me to make a decision in the final few minutes, because he had another client waiting. I paid in full ($5300 for three plantation shutters, two sets of bedroom roller blinds, and two small ones for the bathrooms) and was told to expect my install to happen in late August, to early Spetember. Why so long? Because they're not made in Australia. Th...
Read moree very next day, I realised I had chosen a hideous colour of blind. I contacted my consultant to try and change it. He said "it's already in the system and can't be changed". I called Victory directly, and was told they'd get back to me. They didn't. I had to drive an hour to their showroom to change it in person. Due to the Stage 4 shutdown, my installation could not take place at the planned time (no blame on Victory for this obviously). However, their handling of this situation has been abysmal. I received a text telling me I had a potential booking for the 30th of October depending on restrictions and to either confirm via text, or call. I opted to call, and say that if the restrictions were lifted earlier, I would like an earlier install, but if not the 30th was fine. Leading up to the 30th, I called multiple times to check on the status of the situation, and was given vague assurances. On the 29th I called twice to see if my installation was going ahead. Both times I was told they'd get back to me. Surprise, they didn't. Until 5:15 when I got a text saying my install was cancelled. As the text was sent after their closing time, I could not call to see what was happening. I called on the 30th to see why my install had been cancelled. They said I never confirmed. I replied that I had called numerous times to confirm and check the status. They said they currently were looking at doing my install the following Friday the 6th. I said I was unavailable due to work. They said they had no other availabilities that week, and would have to book me in the following week. Admittedly, at this point, I was low on patience. So I asked what the earliest possible date was, and I would take a day off work to be there. They said Monday. I agreed. Come Monday, it is 10am and I still have not been called for an estimated install time. So I call, again, to check on the status of my install. They tell me it's for next Monday and that I had agreed to next Monday. Why on Earth, would I change from Friday the 6th, to Monday the 9th, when I specifically and repeatedly requested the earliest possible install date? At this point I am well and truly fed up, and requested to cancel my order. They essentially told me tough luck, they've already been made, we're very busy, it can't be helped, and you're stuck with us. The most lackluster customer service I have ever experienced. I will never buy from Victory again, and neither will my friends or family. You're far better off going with a local supplier.CustomerGreater Melbourne (Metropolitan), VIC
Cancelled my appointment without informing me
I have booked an appointment almost 20 days ago for a measure and quote for my curtains. Got an sms confirming my appointment and asked me to respond if I want to reschedule my appointment. I didn't respond as I didn't want to reschedule and I was fine with my date and time of the appointment. But, on the date of appointment, I am told that my appointment is cancelled as I didn't respond to the sms. This is so silly from victory blind and curtains. I am not ordering from you.

Good quality products but had issues with the advice received
We had a set of blinds and awning installed a few years back and were initially quite happy with the products. It became apparent over time however, that what was sold to us wasn’t suitable. I asked about downsides for recessed blinds from the person who gave me the quote and she said there were none. There were privacy and functionality issues with this though. People could see in and light would get through. To their credit, they did fix these. Later, we found out that we’d have to remove the blind or winder just to open a fly screen. The sol...
Read moreution I was offered was to pay for new blinds. I had called about this a few times and realise I should have pushed them harder earlier on, as they would have been more likely to fix it closer to the install. Maybe we were stupid not to think about fly screens at the time but we had a bunch of things going on and would have thought that’s one of the things you expect a professional to mention, given we’re paying quite a lot for the premium.Find out how Victory Blinds compares to other Blind & Shutter Shops

cant get a quote
Unfortunately could not get an appointed time to get a measure and quote. Told in email and on phone that it could be done without me being there but they could not. Others can. I work 5 days a week. No appointment available after hours (5PM ish) or on a Saturday. Only 1PM during the week. Not good enough.

Rep doesn't even know the products
I had Craig come out to quote me on a job I wanted done at my house, first of all he didn't want to sell me cellular blinds which is what I wanted in that particular space, then proceeded to tell me I should just get plantation shutters instead, 2 very completely different products and would not suit that space! Then he tried to tell me to have nothing there, what the?! I had to go onto Victory's website and physically SHOW him the product I wanted on the website of the company he supposedly works for which he then said he'd have to go back and speak to his boss about, this was over a week ago now, haven't heard back. Unprofessional service to say the least, gone elsewhere now.

Love our curtains but terrible customer service
[name removed] the consultant who came to our house was very knowledgeable and helpful. She had numerous samples with her. I already had some idea of what I wanted and [name removed] helped with the final details. We ordered early July with expected delivery mid August. Unfortunately this didn’t happen and despite many phone calls, I was fobbed off over and over again. The whole process became very frustrating and disappointing. At no point was I ever given any explanation or apology for the delay. I eventually contacted [name removed] again an...
Read mored she followed up for me and our curtains were eventually installed on the 31st October. The curtains look great, we are very happy with them. Unfortunately though, I can’t imagine I would ever go through Victory again.MaeveGreater Melbourne (Metropolitan), VIC
Great service and great product
We had a great experience with Edwina at Victory Blinds (Noble Park, VIC). She was absolutely wonderful to deal with, and honest about colours, fabric etc. The end result is beautiful. Cannot fault the service or the product.

Great product & service!
We have just had our new Dual Roller Blinds delivered and installed and we are, to say the least, absolutely delighted with the result! The service from Victory has been exceptional, from the very beginning with an in-home quote provided by Sarah who, shared her knowledge experience and expertise, to help us make the right decisions. The blinds were even manufactured and delivered slightly earlier than promised and Anthony was on time, professional and courteous, as he installed the new blinds without fuss! I recommend Victory & their products without hesitation.

Nice Curtains, wrong colour
Wish I hadn't listened to the advice from the consultant, was disappointed with the end results as it is not what we wanted, unfortunately the whole experience was very disappointing.

Poor Follow Up Customer Service
Needed to call for a repair to a curtain which happened just outside the warranty time. The problem was due to an omission from the initial installation but they still charged for the repair of their own error.

Thumbs up!!
We recently completed building our first house. So, we needed window treatments for the entire house. Victory Blinds were recommended to us by a friend. What a fantastic recommendation it was. From start to finish we were so well looked after.
We ordered a house full which comprised of roller blinds, sheer curtains, block out curtains, plantation shutters and outdoor blinds (for an outdoor balcony).
The consultation in the Victory Blinds show room was perfect. We got to see and touch all the materials and compare all the colours. After choos...

Incredibly rude service.
I received appalling service from a Victory consultant. In standard negotiations I was asking him if any better deal could be provided on the quote provided of $4300 for 2 sheers blinds and block outs for the 2 windows.
Absolutely fine that he could not do better, however merely for asking I copped an email of rudeness and I have not included the entire thread.
The IDENTICAL fabric Victory refused to discount “because it was expensive fabric” was provided to me $600 cheaper than Victory. An alternative roller blind fabric was provided much cheaper. I have now paid for $3700 blinds the week after Victory treated me so appalling.
Another company got my business :)
Maybe consider this next time.

Fantastic Customer Service !
We are really loving the new Victory Blinds installed throughout our house. As soon as we got the keys to our new abode, our consultant Jodie Hickey timed it so that she could measure up for our blinds so that we wouldn’t be without window coverings for long at all. Jodie was thoroughly professional and had some great tips on which blinds might suit our particular house, and where privacy screen blinds might be useful etc. All blinds were installed with care, and look perfect. Well done Jodie and Victory Blinds, very happy customers here !

Professional installers, high-quality products
I've used Victory for a couple of installations at our house. Both times they have been highly professional, on-time and used quality products. Communication before install was excellent. Highly recommended.

All Good Until Warranty Issue
Free measure and quote, free installation, but be aware that you have to pay $90 to get someone from Victory Curtains and Blinds to come out and check a warranty issue even when well within the warranty period. Am in Regional area and in future will use a local shopfront business rather than deal with a business out of the back of a van.

Don't Use At All Costs
Don't Use These Guys At Any Cost
Initially Written Sep 17:
So far, it's been a 5+ month ordeal w/ Victory Blinds Underwood to get the electric blinds installed.
They installed the wrong remotes (too few channels) and have promised to order and come out with new remotes multiple times - nothing. Every few weeks or month we'd call, they'd have no record of the issue, they'd promise to order the remote and get back to us, and then nothing. No follow up each time.
Finally, after calling one last time and raising my voice a little, they schedule a guy to come out with some remotes they apparently had in the office (!??).

No mistakes, just good old fashioned good service with a very adequate product
I wanted functional window coverings (privacy and temperature regulation). I'd had quotes from high end providers who (unnecessarily) suggested very decorative solutions. I could afford either but also considered the sensibility of paying so much for simple function. I may want to change in 5 years... The house itself had enough character without needing decorative window furnishings. Victory blinds attended in a timely fashion, listened, made suggestions, and delivered a smart looking totally serviceable solution in a short time frame at 1/3 cost of the high end "over the top" services who I senses were trying to "upsell". Thanks Victory for a practical and appropriate solution with no fuss.

4 MONTHS AGO PAID DEPOSIT..STILL NO BLINDS!
paid my 50% deposit 26th July. Because I have bay windows they wanted to send their "most experienced" installer to do the check measure. Problem was he was on leave and I had to wait 2 weeks for the check measure. Which I did, reluctantly, in order to ensure everything done correctly. They then called to postpone to 13th August as the installer had hurt his back, then they attempted to postpone again as he had been delayed at another job on the other side of town and would not make it to my house until approximately 6:30. By this stage, I told...
Read more them bad luck, I want him here today, even it he arrived at 7:00 or 8:00. The installer arrived, said he was delayed at a job in Sunshine, about 20 mins away from me, not the other side of town!!! Measurement done. Called on 22nd and left a message for someone to call me to notify a rough installation date. Next day get a call from the lady who provided quote asking if i had been contacted about a check measure, advised that was done on the 13th. Ohhhhh no she said. It wasn't done properly and makes no sense so they were meant to call me and book in yet another check measure!!! Ummmm, thought i was made to wait for their "most experienced" installer...and he stuffed up the measurement??? Or was i lied to and they just sent anyone? Anyway, I was to get a call back the following day with a date for yet another check measure and heard nothing. They have taken 5,000.00 of my money probably sitting in their account earning them some interest and they are not even in the position to commence making my blinds and curtains! They were also the most expensive, even though purchased during up to 50% off sale (can't work that out, maybe accc can) but I thought the service would be great through them. I will update you all on how long this process will take to completion. Not happy and will look elsewhere when we are ready to get our bedrooms don. Update: Have had the other check measure done which confirmed I was lied to. Their "most experienced" installer attended this time. Still have not had any contact regarding installation date....I am thinking it won't be within 2 mths of taking my 50% deposit. UPDATE: Guess what! ANOTHER CHECK MEASURE NEEDED! Yep called a few days ago and will be out on Monday. This is 4th time for measurement. When I paid over 5k deposit I was told 6-8 weeks installation so they think based on the "8 weeks" they will only be 3 weeks late with install. However, I think 8 weeks allows for delays....sooo if I go by the expected 6 weeks, they are actually going to be 5 weeks over. ALMOST DOUBLE the time. And that is only using an estimated installation now.installation of double track curtain and sheer curtains
Parking is difficult on the street where we live so I had parked my car on the road so he could use that spot.
Derek our installer was fantastic, our tracks where too long to fit in lift so he had to carry them up stair well.
Curtains look amazing!
Thanks again for the great work.

What is the difference between Woodlore and Normandy shutters??
1 answer
Victory B.Victory Blinds
Hi Alexia,
Normandy Shutters are made from Phoenixwood (Firmiana Simplex). The timber is classed as a hardwood and comes from the Sterculiaceae (Cacao) family of trees.
Woodlore Shutters are manufactured from Customcraft – a man-made product that is a combination of timber fibre and glue. It is very stable and does not warp when used in low-moisture conditions.
Please let us know if you have any further questions here.
